I really like how you have to qualify in Forza, instead of doing endless laps until your satisfied with your time like in GT7. Also practising with other cars on track feels fresh.
I agree. Not having qualifying apart of the sessions doesn’t allow any mistakes to be made that will shake up the grid. The “Max Verstappen” of the session has no pressure and can just knock out lap after lap until he knows he’ll be at the front. Overall races just don’t have the sense of meaning that they should have.
Also it's crazy to me that you can set a qualifying time with one car, use a completely different car in the race, but still use that same quali time. Who thought that was a good idea? lol

They've just copy and pasted the GT Sport "daily race" format. Virtually no update to it for 6 years, in fact we're still seeing the same combos. Things they should have done for GT7 in my opinion: 1. If you're going to keep the same races for a week change the title to "weekly races", or change them daily. 2. With the effort put into the tuning aspect for this game, Race A should be a single make with setup changes allowed or a PP limit with open choice of cars, engine swaps, NO2, the lot (meme cars welcome). 3. Race B should be GR1, 2, 3, or 4, or a single make race car (MX-5 touring, Merc F1, Super Formula etc). 4. Race C should have pitstops, day-night cycles, dynamic weather, fuel consumption, tyre wear, all being a factor. 5. All the races need to be a little longer in my opnion, but Race C should aim to be twice as long as Race A and Race B to allow for a wider range of strategies and so their times line up back in the lobby. They clearly have a list of premade races that gets picked each week, either by a person or RNG. Surely creating some new ones is as easy as ticking the right boxes like we're all used to when setting up lobbies, and saving them to the list. If its not, I dont want to see that mess of a code.
It feels like most of the effort has gone into the Cup races lately. As someone who's mostly fine with just doing those I don't mind too much, but I agree that the daily races could use love too. There's been some rumors of a big update soon, hopefully...
Races need to use weather and time of day better. I'd also like to see longer races available in Race C with different pit strategies. Race C should really be more like the Manufacturers and World Cup formats.
Would love to see you do more gr. 4 races. There has been some great combos that have come up in the past but they do always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to strategy.
As someone who does not do multiplayer, I would love more single player races or the ability to choose different track layouts for existing races (Sardegna 800pp). I’d also love to see more race cars like more Group C cars and some open cockpit 2000’s era LMP (open cockpit for VR headset.)
The single player and menus are so disappointing. Despite all the gimmicky cafe stuff it feels really cold and a bit of a time waster instead of the old GT games which felt like a career

idk why polyphony keeps repeating the same tracks everytime when theyre missing out on so many great tracks that never get used, like sardegna A, tokyo expressway, saint croixe, etc etc
I gave up on GT7 when they stopped adding race cars, new tracks, and tracks with RAIN. I don't think ANY of the DLC tracks have rain. And they haven't added it to any of the existing tacks that don't have it. So are they running out of ideas? No. They're lazy, completely out of touch with what player base is left, and don't care. The ONLY possible excuse they could have is that they pulled almost everyone to work on GT8. And even then, I'm not sure I care.
I don't understand why they'd develop dynamic weather, really detailed night circuits, and have all sorts of other bells and whistles, then proceed to use none of them.
Need more spec or BoP for other car categories. Races similar to the single player cups, like an FR series, etc. Get more uses from more variety of cars. I think always good to have a GT-x class race available, something quirky like the kart or the bus, and then some street cars.
I don't play GT7 but I don't quite get why there isn't more variable weather (with enough length). Or at least a race where it's hard to decide whether to change tyres mid race or towards the end of the race or where you have to change between wet and dry tyres multiple times. The system is there, even the fact that parts of the circuit can be wet and others dry but, at least judging from your videos, it's barely used enough.
gran turismo is focused on there gr.3 and other gt cars races realistic. Just imagine how fun racing gr.3 on tokyo express way or goodwood or maybe add some rally races which adds more variety
Its possible to engine-swap the sambabus. Would love to see that as a daily race. I can get it to 280 kph around the Le Mans track but the thing is, you can’t add downforce. So breaking and turning may result in death.
Tokyo (so many different track variations) and Group 3 or 4. Throw dynamic weather in there. But yeah, so many more track that they haven't utilized with different combinations is baffling.
They’ve given up and so have I. Been waiting a year and a half for meaningful updates, and nothing significant has really been pushed out. They (PD) clearly have lost interest in meeting the reasonable requests of our sim racing community and I’m honestly just done.
Hi Steve, agree with you. it seems like they rotating 5 tracks with GR3 and GR4 and that's it. I would appreciate more variety with cars and tracks. Maybe specific cars too? Include weather, and day/night change. A bigger update with a new track(s) would be nice too. Although still enjoying the game and slowly moving to A group.
i haven’t played GT7 in over 2 months. used to play it multiple times a week. i just can’t bring myself to play it when they refuse to add any new content and just reuse daily races constantly. i mean we haven’t gotten a new track since february i believe?? at this point just give us some GT8 news…
That is one thing I am missing in Forza Motorsport, the option to like change the brake bias, or the ABS level, or the traction control level during the race, which is possible in Gran Turismo. You have to set it either in the tunning area or in the option menu (for the TC and ABS)
I agree. As someone who has never played forza and only ever played acc or iracing, (and had my expectations set for an arcade game) I was pretty disappointed by the fact you couldn’t change stuff like that during the race. I think it’s pretty educational for people who might not know much about Motorsport and learn how to adjust those settings and when to get faster
gt7 literally has more photo scapes modes than gr3 cars they need to work on what the people want, not 4 different exact replicas of the r32 with literal hedlights as the difference
Forza knocked online out of the park because it gives players a vast swath of different categories and races to pick from. GT7 has the car list to pull off something similar. A selection of 3 races for Group C cars, FWD Gr.4 cars (call it TC), and Gr.B cars (might be a way to finally make use of that rallycross circuit). Or maybe just expand on the current system. Expand the weekly selection to 5 or 6 races, ranging from a 10-minute sprint to an enduro of about or over an hour. Maybe even get one over on Forza by taking advantage of the fact that GT7's upgrade system (while not perfect) is LEAGUES better than Forza's at the moment. To go along with 5 fixed-setup races, put together 5 open-setup races, some with a PP limit and a free-for-all car selection, and some with a single car option with open tuning, etc. Sport Mode's big issue is that there isn't enough variety in race selection throughout the week. Forza also refreshes once a week, so the "weekly" part of weekly races isn't the problem. It's that there aren't enough races to pick from. You could spend a whole day in Forza messing around in one or two categories with multiple tracks each. GT7 has a selection you could blow through in 3 hours. GT7 has more tracks than FM8. It has plenty of cars. It has an objectively better weather system that forces you into the role of a paranoid crew chief checking the weather radar. GT7 is a game that can force you into a race where you have to beat the storm cloud back to the pits. This game has everything it needs to eat Forza alive. They just ain't using the toolbox.
I feel like many tracks have been neglected, All the Tokyo tracks, Fuji has been used sometimes, Saint Croixe hasn't been used for about a year. Monza has also been forgotten. What about Sardegna Road Track C? Come on PD!
I feel it like this too. Is it so hard to invent something like SuperFormula on Fuji, or gr.1 hybrid cars on Monza?! It would be actually real life inspired ;) Or maybe something like Clio or Civic Cup on short Red Bull Ring. There are so many possibilities in that game... But no, they must repeat old events...
After the first few weeks I had already figured out that the dailies were just going to be the same old Rinse and Repeat we saw on GT Sport. It's really a shame.
The ideas are so rare they might as well rename it "GT Sport 2.0" Seriously, the daily races are nearly identical to what we got so often in GT Sport it makes you wonder why they called it "Gran Turismo 7" if not for the plethora of useless Civics. 🤔 Hell, it still uses the same *custom offline-only* VR UI from GT Sport in spite of GT7 being fully online in VR (& at an extreme detriment as a result).
Ya we need more sport race options, more unique longer races, 60min races 45 min races, night and rain races, more f1, vintage f1, LM, gr2 races, better single player campaign like older gt's, sophy a.i. Better manual and clutch support plus enabled in sport mode. Fov slider, cockpit view without the steering wheel.

More "daily" races, maybe: a. one with GR4s - 15 min b. one with GR3s - 20 min c. another one with GR3s but with a track not frequently used like Saint Crox - 20 min d. one with GR2s - 20 min e. one with GR1s - 25 min f. one with road cars - 15 min g. one with a meme car - 12 min h. one "endurance" with GR[4/3/2/1] with time progression, damage, weather, tire wear and gas - at least 50 min h. anothe "endurance" with a diferent GR's with time progression, damage, weather, tire wear and gas - at least 50 min
The answer to the question is yes, and apparently they aren't the only ones. You didn't even talk about the question asked in title. You got me one last time. Congrats.
My friend and I play the daily race most nights, it’s almost all I do on GT7. But recently it really does feel like going through the motions - same 5 tracks and two groups of cars on rotation. We mainly play now until we get the daily roulette reward and then play something else. Why’s it so hard to get more variety? Night races, dynamic weather, different classes, rallies……I do love the game (it’s my first racing sim) but the daily races are getting boring
Hello Mr. Super GT. You made me chuckle during the first part of your video. I couldn't help but notice the look on your face while driving. You looked rather bored 😂. Are you that relaxed while racing or was it a lackluster race that didn't get your adrenaline flowing? Not being negative towards you in any way. Love your editing and voice overs in your videos. Watching you was just entertaining. Cheers!
Whil I love Gr3 at Interlagos, and it would have been epic with mediums and a seventh lap... it's a bit of an crime that they're so unimaginative with some 400+ cars and 100+ track layouts to choo choo choose from!
Trouble is the weather and night races are only available on a handful of tracks and they just use a few tracks are used whereas other tracks have been barely used.
Tbh I only got the game maybe two months ago now and I can already tell the dailes feel slightly recycled, always loved watching your channel, always been an F1 player on wheel and finally got gt7, love it but wish I'd gotten involved earlier now 😂
Polyphony should create a survey of what would be the races of the week/month. That way theres no need for them to be so pressured to decide what races and tracks to use.
Lago has been used 24 times in daily races since GT7 came out. Suzuka 15, Dragon Trail 12, Sardegna, Watkins Glen & Nurburgring 12 times. 2 times for Goodwood & Sainte-Croix, 3 for Tokyo, 6 for Baaaaaaarthurst. Very rarely do they use weather, and even more rarely use night time settings. PD are sooooo boring with their choices.
What is wrong with PD? When has anyone seen them use Willow Springs? High Speed Ring? What about Fuji with Gr3 or some rainy weather? What about a night race? Or RedBull ring with possibility of rain? All these combinations they refuse to touch for some reason. Is it really that hard to use 25% of the games potential?

I've always thought it'd be cool to have professionally tuned cars online races. Like some kind of B.O.P. that balances cars such as Civic Type R and Lamborghini Huracan to compete with each other fairly
GT7 is a disappointment as a single player gran turismo fan, the economy is still flawed and unbalanced, (only 2 championships worth doing due to the payout) (no point doing custom races) there is still so many iconic gran turismo tracks missing, vision cars are pointless. since day one i have not played it much and a new update comes out ill check it out and then go play another racing game instead of gran turismo 7.
Maybe i'm the only one, but i really want them to fix split screen co op. If anything gives me nostalgia its having friends over and see whos fastest. Just cant do that now and it sucks
I was watching Super GT last time he raced Thomas the Tank Engine before falling asleep (as one does). The one with the creepy thumbnail of Thomas. On mobile, when your phone locks while watching a video and you unlock it after, the thumbnail appears. I woke up in the middle of the night and, in fullscreen, I was not prepared for that to be the first thing I saw after unlocking my phone. Truly horrifying.
I recently lost access to my PS account and had to set up a new one so have had to start from scratch on GT7. The first thing I have noticed doing the single player stuff to unlock shit is the amount of tracks in the game we have not seen in online races for ages. It seems to be the same old tracks for daily races over and over again. How many times can we race around Interlagos or Watkins Glen?

They clearly have a list of premade races that gets picked each week, either by a person or RNG. Surely creating some new ones is as easy as ticking the right boxes like we're all used to when setting up lobbies, and saving them to the list. If its not, I dont want to see that mess of a code.
12:29 As digital clerk of the course, I can say its clear this was racing incident 😊
I’d love to see more JGTC cars and perhaps a look at multiclass. Also a slightly longer race a week would be cool.
Would love to see you do more gr. 4 races. There has been some great combos that have come up in the past but they do always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to strategy.
14:10 i can sleep happily now
As someone who does not do multiplayer, I would love more single player races or the ability to choose different track layouts for existing races (Sardegna 800pp).
@@fearinwaves hi would you still say so after recent update? curious if I should buy if looking for similar to OG gran turismo experience like you mention. thank you :)
@@Fuzzsaphire it’s definitely improved since last update. The cafe menus are pretty linear so it’s not OG gran turismo, but there’s good licence tests, customisation is cool. If it’s a good deal then got it
idk why polyphony keeps repeating the same tracks everytime when theyre missing out on so many great tracks that never get used, like sardegna A, tokyo expressway, saint croixe, etc etc
Finding a SuperGT video just before i start eating is pure joy
Need more spec or BoP for other car categories. Races similar to the single player cups, like an FR series, etc. Get more uses from more variety of cars.
I think always good to have a GT-x class race available, something quirky like the kart or the bus, and then some street cars.
The daily race A from last week was cool the game needs more like that
So many wins 🏆 😊
4:14 we've never had fuji gr3?? 😅🤔
I might be thinking of GT Sport
Polyphony could easily do a poll weekly to get some ideas of what people want to race for the dailies, whether in the game or on their website :)
We need the overtake challenge back. And Sierra Mountain while they're at it. Overtake challenge is like the music rally, but good.
What I would like to see more often is GR3 Nordshleife / 24h
Nordschleife is severely underused in daily races for sure
Until a Frenchman / Italian smacks you off in the first part of the track and you’re driving your own for the next 20mins
That was a good race, it was around the time of the real N24 race which was nice
@@halmmlah I'm italian
@@halmmlahI find the Brits to be by far the dirtiest drivers. They take after their role model fraudmilton
Snow rally for sure too
h-how did you predict that there will be snow tracks.....@@scottd7222
They need to fix these 25 second pit stops, make 1 and 2 stop races viable
Would love to see more classic cars used. Especially the super cars from the 90s
That Thomas bus is literal nightmare fuel 😆
Edit: They should look into those brakes of yours... very suspicious 😂
As a player who played Gr.3 Interlagos quite a bit on Sport but not really played it on GT7, I’m kind of having fun with it for the moment 🤣
i haven’t played GT7 in over 2 months. used to play it multiple times a week. i just can’t bring myself to play it when they refuse to add any new content and just reuse daily races constantly. i mean we haven’t gotten a new track since february i believe?? at this point just give us some GT8 news…
Where is this HUGE update 1.40 from Nenkai 🤔🤔🤔🥺
I was so happy when you very accidently pushed the Frenchman in to the gravel at banky boy ;) Haha great stuff
This is so much more of a complete game then Forza
There is a rumor that the next update is supposed to be big, but it's just a rumor. I just want more tracks and cars 😁😁😁
Its nenkai so i think it will happen maybe next week
Has monza even made an apperience for the formula 1 cars? That would be a awesome race!
gt7 literally has more photo scapes modes than gr3 cars
they need to work on what the people want, not 4 different exact replicas of the r32 with literal hedlights as the difference
Group 3 at Interlagos should be a meme
P11 - P7 at Interlagos for me. Was a fight till the final corner of the final lap. Most fun I had in awhile.
i love that fact that you can pronunce Porsche right, and Stuttgart
Steve doing his bit for Anglo-French relations.
*angry baguette screeches*
Daily race track choices and car types suck. Needs more variety 🎉🎉🎉
The ideas are so rare they might as well rename it "GT Sport 2.0"
Seriously, the daily races are nearly identical to what we got so often in GT Sport it makes you wonder why they called it "Gran Turismo 7" if not for the plethora of useless Civics. 🤔
Hell, it still uses the same *custom offline-only* VR UI from GT Sport in spite of GT7 being fully online in VR (& at an extreme detriment as a result).
top tier ding dong battles all session great video as always Steve
Love it when Steve gets a bee in his bonnet and gets his well timed revenge 😂
Ya we need more sport race options, more unique longer races, 60min races 45 min races, night and rain races, more f1, vintage f1, LM, gr2 races, better single player campaign like older gt's, sophy a.i. Better manual and clutch support plus enabled in sport mode. Fov slider, cockpit view without the steering wheel.
Polyphony, i just want more:
1. Night races
2. Longer races (1h)
3. Races with diferent set of cars like an Aston Martin Vantage X Jaguar FType
4. More "daily" races, maybe:
a. one with GR4s - 15 min
b. one with GR3s - 20 min
c. another one with GR3s but with a track not frequently used like Saint Crox - 20 min
d. one with GR2s - 20 min
e. one with GR1s - 25 min
f. one with road cars - 15 min
g. one with a meme car - 12 min
h. one "endurance" with GR[4/3/2/1] with time progression, damage, weather, tire wear and gas - at least 50 min
h. anothe "endurance" with a diferent GR's with time progression, damage, weather, tire wear and gas - at least 50 min
Night races, dynamic weather, different classes, rallies……I do love the game (it’s my first racing sim) but the daily races are getting boring
love the long form GT7 content. keep it up man!
Hello Mr. Cheers!
Don’t get me started on the repeat of the Sambabus race! And the quick answer to your question in the title… YES! 😬🤷♂️
They need short track gr3 lol
Whil I love Gr3 at Interlagos, and it would have been epic with mediums and a seventh lap... it's a bit of an crime that they're so unimaginative with some 400+ cars and 100+ track layouts to choo choo choose from!
Classic french move ☕
Trouble is the weather and night races are only available on a handful of tracks and they just use a few tracks are used whereas other tracks have been barely used.
This wouldn't have happened if the FIA intros never stopped.
Tbh I only got the game maybe two months ago now and I can already tell the dailes feel slightly recycled, always loved watching your channel, always been an F1 player on wheel and finally got gt7, love it but wish I'd gotten involved earlier now 😂
That Thomas the Tank engine Sambabus in rear view mirrors is genuine nightmare fuel in PSVR2
Polyphony should create a survey of what would be the races of the week/month. That way theres no need for them to be so pressured to decide what races and tracks to use.
It's would be same tracks every week
polyphony dosent give a shit about peoples opinions
10:31 to be fair it looked like he did come down on you. So I’d say it’s about 50/50. I mean he took a very wide entry and didn’t go defensive at all, so it almost looked like he was inviting you to make that move.
More dynamic weather and night races would be fun. I don't mind the GR. cars but I wish they would do some more daily races with just street cars.
They can do one thing as nls was over what they can do is like make a proper mode for that like there will be some teams and they had to fight for the table to be the best driver in nurburgring, and like other championship also for more fun there will be real faces ,including Steve also , If they will do that so that will be the best thing
ideal race duell. like senna vs prost, no contact and always fair!
My dream is racing with classics. Like multi-class with GT40’s vs P4’s and Daytona’s vs GTO’s. I love racing those old cars hard
The fact that we never had any one make race that is ranked kills me... (for ex. Renault Megane Trophy cup)
I want the gr4 at lemans no chicane to return. That was absolutely awesome
That’s what I like about FM. Even if it’s a rotation of the same tracks, at least time and weather won’t be the same
