I’ve been in the field for 20 years, and I’ve seen a lotta highs & lows, but if there’s anything I’ve learned after watching Top Chef, it’s that Karma is real, and if you were to keep up with all of this, you’d learn that most of these “chefs” have either been successful(Marcel, Cliff, Michael), failures(Ilan, Elia, Betty, Mia, Marissa), or neutral(Sam, Frank). Just because of what happened with this episode, many of us still continue being Fans of Top Chef, and didn’t become so Pessimistic or “disgusted” with what happened, because the reality is that it could’ve also happened in a Work Related Environment. That’s why I say it’s Lame to stop watching Top Chef, because of 1 incident, when there have been many, both within & outside this or any cooking show or competition. Drama is everywhere, because it’s an Emotional Trait, and one that’s not easy to contain. Roll the clip, expose and eliminate the cheaters, and move on with the competition. Instead they gave out some free passes this time. Sad. This show is a joke.
Totally agree
100%. using her picture in the thumbnail was NOT an accident- & it’s foul they did that. reminding me that the way her cast gaslit mia during the show was wild also to the point the mental stress became so much for her she self-eliminated to have peace. especially cliff. i was disappointed in him.
How’s y’all backs from all the reaching
I hated this whole season.
I'll. Go. There!
I have no respect for cheaters & whiners
I remember this and I was livid! My husband is an Executive Chef and he stopped watching after this season years ago...
@@Swnsasy Sounds like a Lame Excuse to me. Top Chef: LA was considered to be the Worst Season Ever, but after this season, it got Better & Better. I’m an Executive Chef/Consultant, and I’m still a Top Chef Superfan, not because of the “drama”, but because I can learn a lot from these Fresh Minds of all these chefs, including Marcel.
@@l-wolverine2211 It's not lame, he doesn't like what happened in that season and he figured it was all about the drama.. My husband has been in this field for 27yrs, teaches, opens restaurants so I'm pretty sure he doesn't need any teaching. The one thing he does talk about is going back to school for 2yrs to learn food science better..
@@Swnsasy Sounds lame to me.
Some chefs learn to move past all that “drama”, and besides, emotions are one of the best qualities a Chef can have, if they can control them.
I’m not suggesting that you should continue or watch the show again, I’m just speaking my peace, and that something like this that would cause anyone to stop watching Top Chef, that’s Lame, especially when Top Chef has introduced some Rising Star Chefs to Culinary Icons, including an Iron Chef.
If one tablespoon of sugar has 50 to 60 calories. She put around 100 to 120 calories... so...
But that's also ~120 calories added to the mixture not per cookie, broken down per cookie it won't be nearly that much.
True but she's understating how much she added, regardless deviating from the recipe was not allowed sooooo.
@@LemonNation 100% agree that the deviation itself was cheating and she should have been kicked off right then and there, I was just commenting that I think the dish still would have been in an acceptable calorie range.
I mean that's the thing though they have no way of knowing.
there was no way that was 2 tablespoons of sugar.
500 calories is ample to make a nutritious meal.
I need these scientists in my kitchen to help me lose weight
Rasins in coleslaw, heck no
I love how they used the photo of the Brown Woman for this ... Narcissistic bias trickery is Sick !
I am never watching the show ever again because of that black woman would have made that mistake she would have been out
This was season two. Your a little late lol.
Nobody cares, stereotypical Virtue Signaling White woman
I've clearly been watching too many shows like Steve Wilkos. Was not the sort of cheating I was hoping for😅
I miss this show!
I can’t imagine sitting in front of these pompous judges being rude and hostile over some food. Zero issues with the competition aspect. But seriously, why does it have to seem like criminal court???
That pizza meal had to be way over 500 calories. Lol!
It's crazy how they chose her for the thumbnail and she isn't even the one who cheated.
Break the rules and then cry... typical Karen behavior. And the other guy running his mouth was definitely guilty. Typical Kevin!
I LOVED you Mia
Dam Betty cheated
Just remember you were so honest❤
I never laughed so hard 🤣.
Headband boy is a snitch.🤣
The title really should be "Season 2 being Azzholes...AGAIN."
The only season of Top Chef I actually enjoyed was Season 18 Portland. Hate the "drama" mostly created by producers for ratings. The chefs in Season 18 while out to win, also showed they could work together harmoniously, helping each other out, no backstabbing, name calling,
But there was still drama. The winner landed in so much heat that there was a lot of support to choose a different winner. This was much more controversial than when Nicholas E. was crowned the winner after being the clear boot at the final 6 but had immunity to save himself. Gabe was actually fired, but Top Chef wants to have their first Mexican-American winner
Watch British bake off if you want wholesome bakers who help and care for one another. Our American reality shows are cutthroat
My issue with season 18 was Dawn. I have no idea why they kept giving her passes when she kept forgetting components on her dishes and even ran out of time serving people.
I remember this season, does it still come on ?
White wmn tears
Wait, were they at an actual kids fat camp?
I love Marcel. I know I’m probably on my own lonely self here,… but I like the guy.
Lol yeah u are😁
I think all three of the others had helped shaved Marcel should been disqualified and the police called for assault. But they didn’t do that. Abs I love Marcel.
These guys...what a disappointment.
Is anyone keeping records of who liars and cheaters are ? That would be an interesting database. 🤔
There are so many terrible things said in this episode to the kids. Everyone hates vegetables? No they don’t. And, mentioning calorie counting to kids? Yikes.
So they were feeding a fat camp?
"I'm not that guy."
Ummmmmmm🙄
Why do they have to play all that clacking and banging in the background? I don't need loud cues to tell me the chefs are cooking. I've got eyes. Can't watch this any longer.
Still till this day….Marcel 😤
Bettys a f’ing cheater. And she knows it.
Season 2 was such a drama filled shitshow.
THAT'S WHY I STOPPED WATCHING THAT SHOW..
Let them sit overnight in an oven??🤦🤦
Look, nobody likes a rat. But if you're gonna call someone out, grow a pair and be specific about who you're calling out!!! Sam failed on that part and that was somewhat cowardly.
Haha Betty
Yes those people cheated and they knew they cheated when they cheated.
There's a lot of things I noticed.
How many calories was in Betty dish with the two tablespoons of sugar?
Snitches get stitches.
Are they at fat camp?
a show of nothing but sociopaths
Wow restaurant depot Products
I did not. know Chef Cliff was on Top Chef
Ye....and you need to see how he was KICKED OUT of this season....not eliminated, but booted.
Chef Ramsay would’ve done a quick challenge for the cheaters and sent home the loser.
White girl tears 😢 😭
I wish my parents sent me to a fat camp as a kid 😥
Betty is a fail cheater.
That why l don't like baking to scientific and man made with high cholesterol. Plan cooking food what l like but l know my measurements and know how to bake.
I would absolutely snitch
Cheating in L.A.?? No way.
Fat camp is cruel
Top Chef went to a fat camp?!? 😮😢
Click bait🤨
The instructions need to be clearer.
This was the best and worst season imo. The worst food and the best drama. lol Peak reality tv!
That was about the stupidest thing I ever wasted 10 minutes of life on....
(reads title) Top Chef…Los…Angeles
(reads comments about vile people doing vile things…in Los Angeles, for money and fame)
Yep, sounds about right.
Dammmm
The chef with the blue bandana is SO ANNOYING
lil snitch
