Some people say that Jamie was foolish to give up his immunity, however, imho, that was one of the most honorable actions I’ve ever seen on this show, it definitely shines a light on him and shines a light on the dishonor that season 11’s winner Nicholas had, when he refused to give up his immunity even though he sunk his team 😒😒😒🤦♂️
Right? Nick didn’t deserve to win that season. Nina or Shirley should’ve won that season. He was mediocre at best. He was usually at the bottom most of the season. I wish Top chef would take into account the whole journey instead of the dish just for that elimination challenge.
Didn’t help Jamie on All-Stars 2!!! Jamie was just an IDIOT, especially when he deserved to be on Top Chef a lot more than Useless Emily, who was just Deadweight & Cancer
Nope. Sorry. That’s what immunity is for. Unless you deliberately sabotaged someone and then regret it, I see no reason to give up your immunity. You earned it by winning a challenge and the entire point of it is if you F up in the elimination round, you don’t go home. That’s the game and the contest.
i think mia was just tired of the competition in general. there was constant bickering, tension, stress, etc. yes, she knew that going into the competition, but it can be different when you get there. you can think that you want it and can handle it, but sometimes you just get tired of it.
Imagine how the whole Marcel head shaving incident later in the season would have played out if Elia had gone home and wasn’t a part of that group of bullies
Seems like others were mad at Jamie for setting the precedent of giving up immunity. Now they'd be judged if they didn't give up theirs when they were the ones with the worst dish.
I don’t think Elia is bad per se. I think she just isn’t self aware. She wants to be with the in-crowd but she wants to be friends with the one being bullied. If she ever changes that dichotomy, and chooses the underdog consistently, she will be quite a woman.
1:50 As minorities we always feel the need to take the higher road!!! all for what??? I NEVER take the high road anymore, just based on principal!!! This is what Spike Lee's movie Bamboozled was all about.
I actually think it was a bit dramatic and maybe she was just over it... But that's all I think of it... By your rules we have to be just as tough on Jamie, for giving up his immunity... It's a similar act, cause he essentially sacrifices himself and knows he will go home if gives up immunity... So if we follow your rules we have to be just as tough on him as we are on Mia
You are just superficial and self absorbed. She had the right to take any decision she wanted and saw fit at that moment. If you think in life once one takes a decision, it is set in stone forever, you are not very smart or mature. She worked hard for what she achieved both in the competition and in life, but at that moment she didn't see the point in continuing the competition (and what sane person can blame her?). Her reasons are irrelevant for anyone else, but her.
@@kittybennett9004marcel seems like he was a bit socially unaware sometimes but ultimately the worst thing he ever did was be a bit annoying sometimes. Meanwhile the other chefs were terrible, especially Elia

@@watchreportExactly! He earned it & that’s how the game goes! They all agreed to the rules!! That makes me mad!!

There was a lot of heart in what she did. I dont agree but i was touched by her choice. Hope her restaurant is thriving.
Kelsey made Alabama proud! True southern girl !
Michael V is one of my favorites , along with Richard Blais...
same here!
Amen sister!

Yeah, I'm not an Elia fan. That's definitely one of the reasons.
That whole incident wouldn't have happened because ELIA was the one who initially wanted to shave her head.
Mia was a caterer and they never used any of her ideas.
I would've gone: Honorable, my a$$! This is a competition. THIS IS WAR!!! 😂😂😂😂
I would love to meet Michael n his brother ❤️ great chef both of them

So interesting 🧐 I enjoyed this show
Elia seems like kind of a bad person honestly.

May we all aspire to be as honorable as Jamie.

It doesn't have anything to do with color or race. It is unfortunate that you cannot see beyond what color someone's skin is.
Oh for godssakes, stop dragging race into this. Fu
I'm sorry but Mia sacrificed her spot for Elia is plain ridiculous. If u don't have heart to compete, then just never join the competition.
Yeah from what I have seen, Season 2 was the worst season. Lots and lots of unlikeable people on that season. And one of them being the winner.
Most people blame Marcel for the awful season, but I think about 87% of the contestants that season were horrible.
