I had trouble telling if mine actually started or if i just didn't give them enough time so if you could give me any tips I would really appreciate it I want to keep these plants alive and healthy!@@jamestropicals8262
@@jamestropicals8262not true. They grow pretty quickly if you provide them with a good soil, fertiliser and just enough water. They grow slow in nature and high altitudes
@@jamestropicals8262 I grow my own so I know from experience. There are scientific papers about the tree. The usda.gov states the following: Factors slowing growth include high elevation, extreme temperatures, dry, nutrient-poor soils, strong winds, south and west aspects, and high amounts of solar radiation [15]. Great Basin bristlecone pine shows rapid growth on good sites [57.
I started this year growing trees from seed. Waiting for my Giant Sequoias to sprout, they have roots and are digging down. I do not have patience for this lol.
@Nature Nate kindly do an update video on it please. Also, from where did you get the seeds? I’m looking for some of this seeds but I can’t find anywhere.
Give us an update on them in 5,000 years!
Super cool!
Can we get an update? I have seeds of this plant and want to know what to look forwards to and what i should do to help them get its first root

It will be your child though. Not just some store bought plant
Did you have to remove the shell from the seedling as it sprouted or do they grow out of it? Mine just sprouted and are coming up eith the shell
How are they looking? Just had 4 sprout myself!
What’s the update on these how are they doing ?
They have grown a little more. Still green and healthy!

@@RenG35 I was able to find a seller on eBay. A quick search and he will pop up
Which seller did you get the seeds for “longaeva” from?
Any updates on the bristle one pines I just orders some seeds
Hey, so how tall are they now?
Well they grew just slightly taller, hardened up a little with more needles. It is winter here so they are now dormant outside
How did you germinate them?
I just planted the seeds in a standard seedling starter mix and kept them moist.
Update? I'm trying to grow one of these myself as a bonsai. I like to know what happened if they still alive or they died.
bro growing them as bonsai is not needed since they grow 15 centimeter (6 inch) /40 years
@@excelvalentino6972 lmao, that is crazy slow, but whatever I spend my life growing a sapling then...
that's only if you put them in a harsh living condition
so just put them in a harsh condition if you want small bristlecone pine tree
Sure hope I won’t have to wait for 4,789 years for the seeds to sprout 😆
they grow 6 inch (15 cm) / 40 years
so they would take less than that lol (btw i know this is a joke)
