GROWING the OLDEST Living Organism in the WORLD from SEED | Bristlecone Pine
if you speed up the video its really funny but cool
aww i can see a tiny egg sac😀
thanks for this! I’m new to triops and this was extremely helpful
This is awesome! Ever planning on making more videos?
bro your videos stand out so well ever since i watched one of your videos I've been wanting my own Triop Soooo bad! Love The Videos (edit) I HAZ OBTAINED TRIOPS!!11
I have been wondering if there is a way to collect them without draining the water.. i have little snails in my aquarium😢
How are they doing now, 4 years later?
What a great guide, thank you !!
So when they lay eggs in the main tank, do those eggs hatch? Or you must collect the eggs and do a hatchery all over again? Why can't the next generation just be hatched in the same main tank?
Can you do one with fairy shrimp?
I bet you can replicate the method, theyre cysts as well. Myadvise is to use cold water to avoid preentive hatching.
I love the design! Do you have a file I can download to print this nest?
Keep going! Love the content.
این گونه تریوپس ایا در معرض انقراض است ؟!
What was the cause of the initial population decline in the first few days? Was it cannibalism?
Probably.
Thank you for this great guide, I wish I would have seen this earlier! I had the wildest experience with one of my egg batches. They all hatched and were doing well but one of my triops decided to go terminator style. He was the largest one and started cannibalizing the others. As a few survivors remained he started killing those off too although they were pretty large at that point as well. Not sure if this guy was an oddball manifesting Darwin's will, but it was pretty terrifying...
Aren’t you worried rewetting them will do something to them? Isn’t that how they hatch? Also do the eggs have to dry before they will hatch? Why didn’t they hatch in the tank originally? And why did they all die in only a month?
Good info . thank you Please change your font color away from white.... On a light background I couldn't read the info typed in white on a light background . TYVM
how big r they now
Can you share the file?
7:24 very strong little guy
Very helpful, thank you!
I have one question, how many tries did it take you. Right now i am doing a project for school that i have to hatch triopses and document there life, its day 3 and i dont see any nauplii.😕
in the discription it says oak leaf should be used, does it work with any other leaf?
Very helpful. Thank you
Cool. This way you can reuse all the Sand and stuff after cleaning without getting too many minerals and nitrate.
Aquariums shrimp
Tank Tadpole shrimp
Cool video
Give us an update on them in 5,000 years!
How many litres/gallons is the new tank?
Can you use terrarium sand for triops?
30L or almost 8 gallons. Terrarium sand could possibly be used, depending on the composition. You don’t want it to react with the water and make it too mineralized possibly. They could also be very dusty, so rinsing it well beforehand is recommended!
@@naturenate39 I might just buy aquarium sand to not risk potential hardening of the water
You'd the eggs hatch even though not collected?
I believe you meant “would?” If so, triops eggs do have a small chance of hatching without a drying period, but the vast majority won’t. They must dry out before being rehydrated in order to hatch.
Looks like ghost shrimp
Do they like frozen krill as well?
yes, they enjoy a variety of foods
@@naturenate39 they’re so cool would love to raise some
Where do you get the small vials you put the eggs in? Perhaps a name for them or a place to order?
They are called microcentrifuge tubes, I believe mine are the 1.5 mL size. There should be a few options on Amazon
@naturenate39 thanks. They looked familiar, but I could not place it. I checked on Amazon and they have a few sizes for reasonable prices. Do you have any problems getting all the eggs out due to static electricity?
@@jca245 for the most part no, there aren't any issues. There may be a few left at the very bottom but with a few taps they should come free
love ur video but when we clean the tank and i have adluts triops where do i put the adults triops while the tank is being cleaned?
They could be moved into a temporary Tupperware container if need be. It’s recommended to do the egg collection process without any triops left to avoid the stress of moving them back and forth. There are also other egg collection methods that may work better if you want to do it earlier.
thanks i may have more tips from u new subscriber thx @@naturenate39
damn this is a good nest. Do you have an STL. I'd love to make one of my own.
Thank you! Message me on my insta (in description) and we can figure out file sharing
Can we get an update? I have seeds of this plant and want to know what to look forwards to and what i should do to help them get its first root
They grow sooooo slow they probably look the same as this now lol
I had trouble telling if mine actually started or if i just didn't give them enough time so if you could give me any tips I would really appreciate it I want to keep these plants alive and healthy!@@jamestropicals8262
@@jamestropicals8262not true. They grow pretty quickly if you provide them with a good soil, fertiliser and just enough water. They grow slow in nature and high altitudes
@@MrNixtt I doubt that, they grow slow ether way
@@jamestropicals8262 I grow my own so I know from experience. There are scientific papers about the tree. The usda.gov states the following: Factors slowing growth include high elevation, extreme temperatures, dry, nutrient-poor soils, strong winds, south and west aspects, and high amounts of solar radiation [15]. Great Basin bristlecone pine shows rapid growth on good sites [57.
This is very cool! Want updates please!
That one in the front is eating and pooping at the same time. Dude got his priorities straight.
Ssstay hydrated!
So beautiful. "Come dance on me with your tiny bee legs and bathe in the sunlight."
I just wanna asko if i can kept fully grown ones whit cherry shrimp btw sorry for my english im from a diftrent country
While I don’t have personal experience with cherry shrimp and triops together, they may be too small to safely house with triops. A large tank and lots of food would decrease chances of predation
Will they attack shrimp?
Your best bet would be housing with larger shrimp, such as Amano. As long as they are kept in ample space and are well fed, they shouldn’t attack shrimp
Just looking at them makes my whole body itch
... how have these little bastards survived 300,000,000 years in the wild⁉️ They need more pampering then a Shihuahua with IBS‼️
I always see that animals in rice pathies
They are amazing to watch! I have a mini blue lobster who is 😎 !
Now leave them for a couple million years and see what they evolve into.
I’ll make sure to keep you updated
can put the triops with fish and other animals?
As long as triops are well fed, they shouldn’t go after other live animals. That said, the fish should be at least the same size as the triops. A larger tank also helps prevent predation
They are so cute! Could they be kept in an apple snail tank? I have a small tank with three apple snails, filter air bubbler, plants, gravel substrate and three small clams. My other tank has a freshwater lobster..so I think she would definitely eat a triop!
They should be fine with snails. I don’t have experience with clams and triops together but I feel like as long your triops are well fed it shouldn’t be an issue
