New uses for newman motor coils

So I done trying to make the Newman motor work with the carbon brush. I will re-purpose the coils because there in good shape. I will make other devices and I just thought I will make a window motor with all that wire.

im not an expert or anything, so take this comment with a grain of salt, but my guess is the amps are high because the connections arent turning off long enough, the commutator on joseph newmans were bigger and the contact points were shorter. i wish you good luck and i hope you get it!

Your probably right. I've been trying to figure the commutator config for a while. I'm going to give it a rest and work on the maglev :) I do have a new commutator in the works so stay tuned

You might want more wire with optical timing and a mosfet
You can extract the hi pulses off the negative coil lead

Great advice and thanks for that. This is an older version of the Newman motor I was playing with. I've since made a much bigger model and its on my channel.

But I'm curious and wondering; how did you manage to get Newman's design and how did you know it was correct in every detail?

I just looked at MANY sites that have the Newman motor diagram. If you look at my channel, I have an updated version and a much bigger Newman motor

The nature of newman is high voltage almost no amps. He used dead batteries that still had voltage. High voltage to trigger the incoming power.

Het probleem begrijp ik niet zo goed, als u de motor vijf minute laat draaien en u voelt dat de coil warm begint te krijgen is het enige probleem volgens mij dat de coil te dunne draad heeft en zou u volgens mij dikkere winding moeten gebruiken, dan kan u ook meer volt gebruiken, ik ben geen pro oke
