UA-cam always adds adds during the last 20 seconds or so of videos, and she hated that she was covered up by them. She discovered that the automated system only goes by timing , so adding the extra blank space at the end insurers her art is not covered by "graffiti".

I think this song is about fame. There are 3 people behind her in the beginning; I think they represent her family. They have her back even when she can’t see them. And then the cars come at them all , fast. Then the figures multiply ; I think they represent all the people that comes along with fame ( stalkers, publicist, stylists, fans, loss of privacy…. And then the cars are chasing her down. When she says “ you hit me so hard…now I know what you are..” YOU = FAME Both Billie and Finneas have synesthesia and it’s evident in her music and videos.

Love your thoughtful reactions. The black at the end is primarily a way for Billie to avoid having her work hidden behind Google ads at the end. She puts a lot of thought and work into her MVs and doesn't want it besmirched, so to speak. And you are quite right she and Finneas are becoming masters at seeing that all elements of her art reinforce one another, lyrics, music, and visuals (she directs her MVs). Disturbing is right. I think the info on the cars came from Instagram. BTW I'm 71 but for some reason I've really fallen for Billie's artistry. The need to have security and fences, having to be really cautions about you invite home, never to be able to be private out in public places.
