yess glad you guys liked it! also just so you know billie actually directed and edited this music video herself! she’s directed a lot of her videos before but this is the first time she edited one by herself
Love your reactions. How does an internationally famous multimillionaire remain relatable? Brutal, unflattering honesty. To me that's Billie's best quality.
Depression. Sitting and sulking around the house. Sleeping..eating..not going outside. Ps: Billie and Finneas were just on Howard stern a couple days ago. It was a REALLY GOOD interview. Just when I think I can’t love or respect her more, I heard that interview. I’d try to find it somewhere. Plus she did a couple killer performances on the show.
@@DAMmusicshow did you hear the most recent interview? She said some really revealing things. Got a little into what was behind the “your power” track and of course Howard talked about that line about pornography in the male fantasy track. That turned into a pretty revealing topic for Billie. She also talked about how she actually had Covid back in august. Just a really interesting interview. So if you could find it online, it is well worth a listen to.
I thought it was crazy when the “detour” line was said because billie is CRAZY with music genres, she does everything XD Y’all should listen to Ilomilo or NDA
I think the way this song was executed is pretty genius. From a lyrics perspective it can be seen as a man who has the typical male fantasy of a woman and how that relationship should be like. However when things don't work out and his expectations were unrealistic, he can have misguided resentment. The cool thing about the song is that now a female sings it. So typically instead of a male singing it which would usually be generic and sometimes cast as 'that man is just weak and complaining. Suck it up', (which is wrong), you can feel the empathy from Billie. It's healing to know that females can understand how males feel. It is even cooler how she sang it in way that sounds pretty authentic and convincing that she's sympathetic to the unrealistic 'male fantasy'
This song is so relatable for me. Loved a guy, broke my heart, ideally would hate him but really don't, but not enough to go back. Man, she really hits home. Also, super hard to sing soft/whispery (made up word) with a high pitch. C'mon Bils I really wanna sing witcha but can't without cracking with the high notes.😩 Appreciate ur reaction vids.
@@DAMmusicshow It’s a film on AppleTV. Basically behind the scenes to Billie (ages 16 to 18) and FINNEAS while they create songs for the first album while touring.
Sorry I'm late! UA-cam decide to UNSUBSCRIBE me from a lot of creators recently. Ugh! 🤬 You were SPOT on about this one, but the way. Very folk, and raw! The "male fantasy" is referring to the Lyric about how she hates the way she looks at her, meaning the woman in the video. Basically, that porn doesn't represent reality, but a male fantasy. She goes in depth on the Howard Stern Show recently.
I too have a crush on their art. He keeps saying it’s okay to have a crush on Billie, but that’s not what we are saying. We have a crush on the art specifically. Yes, sure, it’s made by them, but that’s not the same as having a crush on the person. I’m totally with you. I have a crush on their art, their professionalism, their creativity, their authenticity, and the way their writing and production and voice makes me feel. Billie as a person is cool and she has a beautiful face for real, but in a way that only adds to my crush insofar that her music videos and her visuals and her performances are just so thoroughly aligned and integrated with the art they create. It makes me feel things. It’s not the same as having a crush on a person…

Thanks for the heads up. We did miss it. We definitely like the video too. Appreciate the note about her editing it. That's extra impressive.
she actually edited the video for 'bad guy' herself as well! :)
Billie fully edited this video too, so it's so true to her vision. Truly beautiful.

Love your name 😄

We LOVE the interviews with Howard Stern. All of his interviews, but especially with Billie. She's a reflective and honest person.

Not her house in this video. She bought a 'modest' $2 mil home (for someone of her wealth) in Glendale CA in 2019 with a stable and zoned for horses.

Thank you so much for your comments. Keep practicing those high notes.
I would pay to watch you both watch “Billie Eilish. The World’s a Little Blurry”.
Wow. That's cool. You don't need to pay us, but thanks for the heads up on the song. That's a strong recommendation. 😃

Welcome back. We heard the Howard Stern interview (after this) but sheds more light on this song. Thanks for the comment.

He has a crush on her art and person. Both are okay.
