    Barbara was, in her youth, beautiful, charming and able to hold her own in social circles. By most accounts, she was a gold digger who hit the jackpot. The Sinatra jackpot. That said, to her credit, she spent much of Frank's money wisely, most notably on the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center for the abused. For that, if only that, she deserves some credit.

      I agree she deserves some credit for establishing the center for the abused. with that said, she certainly seemed to be a Gold Digger..I understand it's been documented that she cheated on him when he was sick and ailing. Not a super nice thing to do..if true. But on the other hand, I've heard Frank cheated with Nancy Reagan, while his Pal Ronald Reagan was suffering from Alzheimer's.

      The Sinatra’s were huge philanthropists along with Barbara opening the Children’s centre in Palm Springs. I know they enjoyed spending “their” money and were extremely generous to others in need, much of this kept very quiet. I expect when she died much of her money went to the centre, and that is a good thing.

    when you think of it look at jerry lewis never left anything to his five boys dean the same and Sammy had no money left. They all did nasty things Elvis had other children and Priscilla divorce him and ended up marrying someone else but why is she still using the Presley name ( money). Money does nasty things to bad people the ones that think they are so kind in life are the most evil behind doors

    About the ONLY good thing we can say about that woman, was that she provided companionship for Frank in his golden years. Outside of that, she wasn't a very nice person! She snubbed his children and kept valuable things that were his only, that should have gone to his children.

      Except for establishing the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center and being connected and lending her time to it for many, many years. Even Don Rickles said that Barbara was good for Frank. I'm not saying she was without faults. But it was Mr. Sinatra's fault, not her fault, that he divorced Nancy Barbato. Whatever he did after that was on him.

      @@zoeenicholee my thoughts exactly- she was good for him and had good ways about her. Frank had loved her. If Ava hadn't entered his life, he probably would've stayed married to Nancy- even tho he wouldn't be faithful to her--so that was not Barbara's fault.

    His children couldn't stand her. She was a controlling goldd digger. On the Sinatra family website she isn't listed with his first wife, his children, and Mia Farrow. Neither is Ava Gardner. That shows their feelings towards her.

      I think the "family website" mostly for the purposes of promoting and keeping Frank Sinatra's music before us, which is a noble purpose. It's really about his music, not the family history. As his children's mother, Nancy Sr. was family and remained so to the end of Frank's life. Nancy Sr. was a frequent confidant, friend and they remained close right up until Frank passed away in 1998. he also was very generous with her, which certainly indicated he cared deeply about her. The fact that his children were snubbed and not even told their father was dying in the hospital, was terrible on Barbara's part. She wanted the SOLE ATTENTION when he died!

    • @mjlejer3241
      @mjlejer3241 4 роки тому +2

      Sure! One has to do something for tax deductions! She did charity work with Frank's money but named the charities and foundations after HERSELF! It figures. She was greedy as all get-out, but she did provide companionship for Frank so he didn't have to be alone in his last days, that had SOME value and Frank knew but ignored her avaricious behavior! But sadly, she gave some of Frank's personal memorabilia that he had BEFORE he ever met her to her son instead of his children, and sold the rest at a public auction that should have also gone to his children. Greed is never pretty although Barbara WAS photogenic, a formal B-model, she photographed fairly well but she wasn't able to make a career so married Marx!

      Sinatra's son got some of his music rights, and I suppose that wealth is passed on to FS Jr.s children. Frank Sinatra left trusts for his children, and unlike a will, trusts are NOT subject to public scrutiny. FS was very generous, he literally gave away millions to friends, charities, even people he didn't even know but only heard needed help, he was just that way. No doubt he made plenty and as his legal wife, Barbara got plenty, but he provided for his children as well as their mother, Nancy Sr.

    • @brendapayne6603
