In 1966 I was 10 years old and 45's were a quarter at Wallach's Music City. My friend Danny got "The Beat goes on" and I got "Thats Life" and thats where it all began. Many many albums (and many trips to Las Vegas to see him live) kind of gave me confidence. I worked at Gil Turner's liquor store and one day he pulled up, parked in the red (FAS) and bought a pack of Parliaments. WOW. I LOVE your Dad.
No male singer comes close to the phrasing that Sinatra expressed. Talent was innate. As Tina said, the lyrics of songs he chose were superb. I miss his being here terribly. When I hear his song on radio, I wait in parking lot til it ends.
Thank you so much for sharing Tina. When I hear him sing, it reminds me of my parents in their youth. They loved to dance and they loved vegas. The sound of his voice brings me close to them again. Happy New Year!
I was 12 years old when Frank Sinatra’s precious mother in her 80s, what was on one of his Jets and it crashed in the mountains and I cried like a baby. My dad and his brothers adored Frank Sinatra. In the early 70’s most drove Caddie’s to his concerts and bought tickets in the very front row. My uncle, who was the brother of my dad was a musical agent knowing Frank Sinatra. It was quite a childhood growing up with Frank Sinatra music and he’s on SiriusXM the Sinatra channel channel 70. Thank you Tina Sinatra for your interview and story.
Tina; I had the privilege of meeting and speaking to your Dad on four occasions in NYC. He was such a fine gentleman and I'm sure that he is very proud of you.
My Sicilian dad was the same way. Right on time (really early) and wearing a watch. He was an expert in his field (chemical engineering) always focused, precise, proactive, and dependable.
I’m 50 odd, I grew up in the 70’s , as a child my earliest fondest memories is falling asleep listening to strangers in the night and summer wind ( my favourite) while my parents party went on. The love of Frank Sinatra has never left me, I have books, dvds, cd’s an autographed photo ( not to me sadly) and a SF Giants bobblehead, collector plates, and Sinatra decals on my car and all sorts of other treasures. And then there is my Rat Pack Collection and then there is my Dean Martin Collection! Franks coolness is timeless.
So glad I had the privilege of meeting Miss Tina and her family. Know that what she says is absolutely true! Such a giving family no matter the circumstance! Stay well!
Wow the bracelet story , I wished you had got it back years before , how sad the woman held onto it until she died forgive me for saying this but that was mean of her , I know 100% I would of had to give it back knowing whoose it was was and the meaning of what what written on it , I guess some people are just that way , don’t get me wrong your dad was Gorgeous Extremely handsome but I still would have gave it back , anyway I’m happy you have it again x
Greetings From Florida 🌴 In all due respect; WHY did he Denounce his Child ??? Claiming that it was a Family decision Not to pursue any relationship/communication is Shameful Hurtful and I lost All respect for Him/ Family...
D The So called child is real !! Never wanted money..just wanted a Dad...even a part time Dad !! Mr. Sinatra did finally admit to being the Father, but never a relationship! It’s now public record!
Dorothy Bunocelli, showgirl had a daughter with Frank Sinatra Sr. ..born 2/10/43 her name was Julie Ann Maria...name was legally changed to Sinatra in 2000...there was also a quiet cash settlement. What broke my heart was listening to Julie, all she wanted was a relationship with him. She came across very sincere and remained hopeful. She said that she had all his records. The settlement must have included a gag order. I, can’t locate the interview . I have been a child advocate all my life and this truth personally hurt. I was a big fan, saw him in person. Also , an actress name Eva Bartok, claims that She had a daughter with Frank Sr. Let’s not forget Ronan Farrow, mother is Mia...he looks a lot like Frank Sr. Many people/ fans don’t care because they just love him and his music. That’s their privilege, but too many make him out to be a Saint, which he was Not! Have a Nice Day 🌈
I always thought his phrasing was his finest asset, vocally over rated in my opinion. However he was given great songs, great bands and great productions that contributed to his legendary status.
So great to see Tina ! I am celebrating your Dad's birthday this Saturday. As a lifelong fan and someone fortunate enough to see him live in the 1980s I celebrate him every year. My mom's birthday is also the 12th so I get a two-fer that day .... best wishes, Tina
But he didn’t mind walking off movie sets or letting others wait for him. Don’t get me wrong, I REALLY like Frank’s talent, but he wasn’t always respectful to his co stars and directors in films. Except for Gene Kelly. What a life, what a man, what a legend. RIP
Wonderful to see Tina looking so young and healthy. I cherish many fond memories of our shared youth growing up in the 1960s in West Los Angeles. Thankfully, many of our mutual friends are still enjoying a full life.
This was great. I was raised hearing Mr. S and really enjoyed this. I also love watches and the “Young at Heart” watch will be mine very soon! My 16 year old Granddaughter sings Fly Me To The Moon for me, she knows how much I love Sinatra!
Questions are too fast remove!! Thanks for this video. Bulova is the best watch co. I have several, will not wear anything else, Frank is eternal, music will not die-FR .CA USA GREETINGS
Frank's three children are noteworthy in how important diction and the use of language. Frank reportedly worked on breath control, annunciation, phrasing were important. His kids inherited these traits.
I've always been a fan of your dad and not so much because of his ring-a-ding celebrity lifestyle, but because of his integrity never to compromise the dignity of his talent as a vocalist and a song stylist. I listen to his recordings and marvel at his technique, his phrasing and his musicality. And the way he expressed every song as if it was in the moment and being sung for the first time from the heart. No song ever sounded like a singer giving a performance, every cut sounded like a regular guy with a great natural voice breaking into song to express how he was feeling. I think that is why he appealed to the everyman, he made the song their fantasy of expression. I read the book, 'Sessions With Sinatra', which had nothing about his celebrity lifestyle, only about his artistry, technique and knowledge as a recording artist, and it became apparent that the reason all his cuts are so good and will forever be the gold standard of successful recording sessions, when all the pegs were in the right holes and it all happens in the moment and the grove cooks, is because he had such an acute ear for originality. Also, all his early years as a band singer, when he had to conform to orchestrations and at the same time make whatever stylized variations he could insert into his delivery of the song, gave him an opportunity to develop his musicianship, and it was a skill he brought into every recording session he ever did. His image as a devil-may-care celebrity masked the intensity of what a true artist he was.
Ms. Tina Sinatra looks fantastic...The bracelet story is fascinating..So happy she recovered her priceless gift her father gave her .. .thank you for sharing. Peace
Tina, I know you will never read this (you have so many other things to do) but your bracelet story touched me so much. I grew up in an Italian family and remember your Father singing and my family so happy to hear him. It was like he was family and was at our home for Sunday Spaghetti dinner. I would ask if this was the Sunday he was coming... then I grew up. Thank you for your generous time and insight of your family.
My family too, my beautiful Italian grandmother was in love with Frank and would constantly have his wonderful music playing. I'm grateful that she introduced me to him at such a young age.
Tina looks great. I guess this was an ad for Bulova, but she do look good !!! Her dad was, simply put.... THE MASTER !!!! My mom was a bobby sockser. Even though I am not from his generation, I told my wife to play Sinatra when I croak. I was blessed as a young man to see him 4 times. Twice at Carnegie Hall, once in The Meadowlands in NJ and the last time, I believe in 1992 at Radio City Music Hall. Long Live Sinatra ! Scooby Dooby Doo!
Did he believe in God? Do you? What did he teach you about God? You can have a million watches, but none of them can tell you how much time you have left here on earth. Spend your time on what really matters....
I enjoyed your memoir so mjch. I'm glad you were able to get the truth about his fourth wife Barbara. Your mother seemed lime such a wonderful, sweet person. Your love for your Dad really shines thru. Your parents raised their children very well. Thank you💮🏵
When she said her father would take a song and make it his own, I can't think of a more appropriate example than It Was A Very Good Year. There's a video of a CBS special from 1965 in the studio filming it being recorded. Frank said he heard it on the radio by the Kingston Trio, and decided he wanted to record it. Hard to believe it was 1st recorded as a folk song.

@@DrChem-wx1uc That's funny because I worked at Gil Turner's as a delivery guy in 1975-76. Small world.
Worked at Capitol Records in recording with Frank Sinatra...another lifetime ago

Loved this video!
Class act.

Tina is Great.
Wish she knew how to say “jewelry”
Tina is so normal, so articulate, so likeable, so down to earth -- the exact opposite of the Thug.
She's brave and down to earth

Frank reportedly smoked Camel cigarettes where they unfiltered or filtered? Also, did he ever smoke any other brand? Just wondering.
I always thought that Boulevard was a dime store type watch growing up
Agree JJ Cameron
We can
I think she would be much prettier if she painted her lips along the line...why not?
Mother midwife? 🤔🤔

i like Tina Sinatra , she seems so smart and nice but also has a very youthful look and vibe to her .
I agree! Nancy went for plastic surgery with puffed up lips. Hardly recognized her the last time I saw her on TV
You might want to leave the questions up longer than one second so people can read them.

This isn't Nancy! It's her younger sister, Tina Sinatra.
Tina is a very smart woman..I can see why he chose her to deal with the parts he gave her handle.
