@@MicBergsma. I ask cuz I put all new rubber in and it leaked....replaced a bunch still leAked/weaped. Destroying all my hardwoods. Please update down stream. And explain your door and window rubbers. Before during and after......if you can. FYI I am very thankful either way.
@@MicBergsma I was thinking of doing the same roof swap on my bus.. and as fair as I know this is the only videos showing that process. You way want to add links to each video, that points to all videos for this whole process. Would also be a good idea to edit a single video that is only this process. I will have to try and find the video on how to remove the roof panel. Still not sure if I want to try and tackle this job, in my garage, basically by myself...Does make it nice that you are finding all the issues, and documenting them... so everyone else doesn't have the same issues. Great video series.

Wow, and this is why a shop built bus restoration (plus 21 roof, engine access hatch, etc.) easily eclipse $100,000. Many, many, many hours of labor and fabrication.
I just spent the last 4-5 days binging on all the videos in this VW bus series....I have experienced a certain amount of anxiety as I could see I was running out of episodes! Now im finding myself double-checking for a new video. There's gotta be a support group for this kind of addiction LOL

Wow, alot of stuff going on the rear access panel, front door lower seal rails, samba glass frames, rear hatch, and the roof. Don't feel bad about taking the roof off because of fit issues. Thats normal when fitting new metal. I probably had my new cargo floor in and out of mine 10 times before it was ready. Can't wait for the next episode! Peace

Kona is looking great, but I'm wondering, how much of the original bus will be left? Don't get me wrong, the rust has to go. You'll have a factory new bus when done, with no issues for years
Tried to fit my cab corner on my 68 double cab today and sadly the holes cut out for my gates are 3 cm off and the gates do not align. I will be welding up the holes tomorrow and drilling new ones. 3rd party body panels are amazing but man can they be so very wrong.
