A shallow approach typically means your speed at touchdown is higher, resulting in longer roll out - but not for your reason. Ideally, you have a 2,5-3° glidepath, flare (decreasing the forward vector at the same time) and land. The shallower the approach, the less speed you’ll bleed at the flare.
Runway 09 at Phuket has a strong upslope. Any plane can definitely vacate the high speed taxiway or at least the last perpendicular taxiway without having to go the end and make a 180 (even a B777-300ER with maximum landing weight can still vacate without doing a 180. Unlike this Aeroflot with very little remaining fuel after a long flight) Perhaps he just wanted to do a shallow approach to assured that his landing will appear on UA-cam.
@@MeppyMan Fortunately, the planes are still well maintained, although spare parts are supplied not directly from the manufacturer, but through intermediaries... Honestly, it’s better this way than nothing :)
Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. Please read the whole text. So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God's standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can't let sin go just like that. So is there any hope? Yes, there is. Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned. The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, unlike Jesus's, it only temporarily covered them). Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. Jesus was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our Salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. See: Romans 3:1 , Romans 3:23 , Romans 5:12 , Romans 6:23 , Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-10 , Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV, John 3:16 KJV, Leviticus 17:11 , Ephesians 1:7 , Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 .
The first two clips were filmed at the beach adjacent to Phuket IAP (HKT), Thailand. Been there a while back, hope to make it back someday.
I’m there, new places to spot aircraft are increasing
I’m from Phuket. Love the sea view when taking off. The Aeroflot did in fact approach too low.
So close to disaster
Wow that 777 in the first clip did a low approach
If the landing gear don't hit the fence, it's not too low.
He did, as the video showed the average approach next.
Is it in Phuket Thailand?
@@north69420 Correct
The first clip was an Boeing 777 of Aeroflot. Filming in Phuket with the well known spotting place. Maikhao Beach

747 to the crosswind: “Not today, Satan, not today!” 😂😂
"We need to cool the brakes -- yeah, that's the ticket."
The brakes must have been hot from all that stopping they were doing during take-off.. 🙃

No, that was too long ago. Too early. Too unknown. Too hard to find. Too much to handle. Are my comments too low? Maybe it’s all a bit too soon.

0:06 pilot- The PAPI lights are all supposed to be red, right?
4 red
White = too high
Red = too low
Green = dead because you're flying through the grass.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The backdrop of the first one is gorgeous!
I must go there!
I wonder if Aeroflot touches down early to have a longer rollout to save the brakes

Doesn't help with the tires though
There is no need to try and maintain healthy brakes all the time, Aeroflot can maintain their planes via China and India
@@oogie493 LOL. We have certified technical centers, which has been for many years before sanctions.
OOOO, Aeroflot! Our company)
No way, the first 777 was almost about to kiss the fence!
my favorite youtube channel . Always entertaining and upto the mark. Keep it up. 👍👍👍
This 777 was approached low to do butter landing
1:31 ATC: Takeoff and maintain runway heading. 747 Pilot: Nah I don’t think so.😅

btw the airport name is Phuket International or its ICAO is VTSP
Never stop. Ever!
Love your videos!
1:25 the pilots fixed this by tapping on the gear up lights :D
1:16 I seen this happen with a LATAM 767-300 while plane spotting at JFK.
The second plane was trying to avoid wind shear. Saw it on another channel.
In Soviet Russia, plane not approach too low, ground arrives too fast.
For information, Soviet Russia ceased to exist in 1991.
@denislokator we know, thanks for stopping by.
I’m from Phuket Thailand and noticed the airport and the view😊
What would cause the nose gear to retract after the main gear? Is that a malfunction or pilot decision?
0:00 Reminds me The Landing At Princess Juliana International Airport since That Airport is Next to a Beach.
Why would the brakes need cooling on takeoff?
They don't, I don't understand how this myth has gotten so entrenched
@@ninjalectualx it's possible, but more likely is the brake locks out and so it waits for the wheel to spin down before retracting.
"too low" is a social construct, bro

Please list the airports.
So low it's wheels touched the runway.

First clip must be VTSP (Phuket)?
0:36 All the cabin lights are on & window shades open. What’s that all about??
Well the window blinds are meant to all be open, but I agree it's odd with the lighting
Whether or not the shades are open or closed is nonsense. Don’t believe every “rule” idiots put in place.
Maybe, just maybe it's because there was lightning. I don't know it's all I can think of.
@@fowchiiiliedpuppiesdiedthe window blinds being open for takeoff and landing is for a perfectly valid reason…
Aeroflot 777 pilot flying like they stole it... Wait
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Didn't Aeroflot buy these planes for its own use? Yes, of course, some time after the imposition of sanctions, but still.
Some people just like to type dumb bs, dont mind them
0:10 If Russians pay for the runway they use ALL runway! 😀
Erm, different glide paths, the first was good for the passengers easy and low the other was high and down, both landed in the same threshold

Brakes accumulating dust so needed cooling? I’ll look up that SOP (spoiler, I won’t find it!)
Where is the airport in the first two videos ?
What airport is that in the first clip?
1.26 why did the nose gear take long before retracting?
maintenance issue.. it needs to be serviced.. might already be due for maintenance and inspection… scary…
@@g_pazzini not scary at all. can just be a brake lock out and the wheel needs time to spin down.
What airport is the first clip at??

Airbus or Boeing ?
Airbus of course. If it's Boeing, I ain't going.

Boeing is good for the military, but not for civilians. So Airbus.
Airbus! ✈️
Airbus for narrow bodies but Boeing is the still king of long hail

Not sure I would call it sexy, it is well done. Wonder if that plane is still flying, might have been repo'd or run out of parts by now.
