Wow. Simply wow. I love a good hat. And I enjoy watching the care and craftsmanship that goes into creating a finely crafted hat. Not a machine made knock-off & not cheap costume replica but an actual man's hat. I enjoy my hats and firmly believe more men should take to wearing hats once again. You'll like how you feel. A hat is the defining touch to a man's look.
How sweet! Just buy it, girl! Haha I I'm not only going to buy one of these for my future husband but I'm also going to wear many of these in a feminine style! ❤
Brilliant to watch. Nothing better than watching a craftsman at work. I love hats but couldn’t afford one of yours. I really hope that there are enough people who can in order to make a living for you and keep your craft alive
Save 20$ a month. In two yrs you will have enough. Just start tucking away, anything is possible, you will enjoy the things that you are passionate about.
@@Ursaminor31 thank you for this. Times are hard, I’m on a fixed pension and there are no spare pounds (UK) at the moment - cold winter here and heating costs have doubled for me. No matter; stay positive and, if nothing else, enjoy watching a craftsman.
@@deanbeach8748 it’s Little Spitzbrook Farm, Haviker Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 9RG, UK. Dean, my comments weren’t a fishing expedition - I didn’t and don’t expect anything. I genuinely feel lucky to be able to watch, for free, craftsman at work on YT. Even 20 years ago, that would have been impossible. Money is great to have but not as great as health and family. So, I’m blessed in a world where so many are not.
I own a black handmade bowler hat from the Melegari hat shop in Milan, I'm not shy to say it started an obsession with artisanry and handmade stuff in general. Sure, everyone with some money can buy a hat press and start pumping out cheap hats, but it takes a master to make a work of art you can wear on your head
Best video on youtube. Very relaxing, i love the craftmanship of a handmade quality product. The beautiful music added the right touch to the video. Awesome job.
My dad owns a hat company and my brother and I found a much of wooden head molds and a few steemers in the back and were thinking about trying to make some of these just for fun and this video shows up in my recommends lol maybe it's a sign
dès que j'ai fini de regarder cette video; je n'ai pas hésité à m'abonner à votre chaîne.Vous faites un très beau métier...J'adore les chapeaux .Thank you and good luck to your channel.
I'm a master cabinet maker. I have zero issues paying top dollar for a good quality fedora. I have 3 all are Stetson's...one black (Saturday go to Schule hat) a good brown workaday hat and a summer straw. I paid top dollar for all three. I have a Straw Boater that I also paid top dollar for...and don't regret paying th price for any of the 4.
I have two Borsalinos, one brown, one gray. My dad bought them but hats went out of fashion while they were still brand new. I'm not sure if he ever wore at all, or maybe one or twice. They're still in the original boxes 60 years later.
I thought Jack Kennedy did in the market for men's hats, but I'm glad it survives. I haven't seen a real hat in so long that I'd forgotten how much stitchery goes into them.
A arte é uma coisa sublime! Deve ser valorizada, respeitada e querida pois ela eleva o ser humano como ser na natureza, em ciência, sabedoria, qualidade de vida, beleza e magnificência. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
this is awesome!! thank you for making this.. its relaxing.. I would love one of those hats.. I would like to interview you if that would be ok? and if you are interested?
Nice hat, but I’m missing something? Where did the hat come from? Other than stitching in the hat band and shaping. Who made the hat, what materials is it made of?
Hi, this video is amazing, I have a nice hat, but unfortunately I lost its bow, can you please make a tutorial how to make that bow?🙏 It will help me to use my hat again.
Very nice work! I have wanted to try and make a felt hat for some time, to be able to say I have done it, I am a leatherworker , where would I come by the felt for such a hat?
You will need to buy a hat body. There are only a few companies producing them, then you'll have to decide which fur you prefer i.e. beaver, rabbit, a blend etc. There are also different weights of felt, so again, you'll have to decide which would be best for your project. When you start from scratch you will need certain hatter's tools to do a good job & a minimum of knowledge regarding working with felt. It would be better to buy a cheap hat off eBay to practice on first, before investing in hat bodies & tools.
There is art, and there is craftsmanship. This is both.
Thank you.
You can have craft without art but you cannot have art without craft.
Felt my blood pressure going down just watching and listening. So nice, so professional. Thanks
No glue anywhere! You make my heart happy. Beautiful hat!!!
They use glue in cheap hats.
What a pleasure to see quality craftmanship, hopefully hats will come into fashion more often! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Nothing is to compare to the quality of a hand made hat. This hat will last for decades to come it it is taken care of.
Nothing? I suspect that’s a stretch my friend…
@@yamahajapan5351 He meant the quality of hand-made hats vs. mass-produced cheap hats 🙄
That brought back memories of when I worked for Dunn & Co....what were then the largest hatters in the UK .

A beautiful piece of crafted art. So lovely to watch such a fine result coaxed out of a piece of felt and some silk banding. Elegant and functional.
Very nice workmanship and pride in your product. So good to see it.
Fascinating. I’ve tried steaming a few blanks by hand for fun, but I love seeing it done professionally. Bravo!
I do not think that I have ever seen someone make something with such skill, craftsmanship, and passion for what they are creating.
The hands of a Craftsman will produce wearable works of art which will pass down through generations.
Heart rate fell to zero. Thank you for carrying on a great tradition!

Perfection, My father never went out without his Trilby, X years on I never go out without my Borsalino Fedora, it's part of who I am.
Beautiful job on the hat! Still were a fedora, I’m 68.
A family heirloom. I still have one of my father’s custom-made fedoras from the 1950’s.

When they say something is "hands on" this it what they were referring too, what a great watch.
Beautiful work!
Fantastic video, well made. True craftsman
Absolutely fabulous. I ordered the hat measure guide, and the hat brush.
Dang good looking hat. My grandfather always wore a fedora.
Stunning work. Such an amazing process

Very nice work.
You have a very interesting job. Make more videos and you will find your audience.
Great video. What hat is the maker wearing?
Okay. That was completely cool.
Where is all the sanding? Are your hat bodies that smooth at the time of creation? Very nice work...very.
What sanding? He was steaming the felt to smooth and shape the crown.
Que hermosura y una obra de arte
Very nice. Guy looks the part. We take 100X Stetsons and throw them in a water trough. Then the Texas heat sets the shape. We are so backwards.
This hat is a real work of art. It should be worn with respect.
What kind of sowing machine is that it’s amazing!!!??? @6:28

Well done, high quality.
After seeing this vid Now i need a Hat 😃🏆
Does the felt body need to be treated first to stiffen it?
