Have fun with that AGA, especially since it’s a coal unit, I personally would recommend cutting the fireside barrel! With regards to the leaking water jacket, when you say to the customer the boiler is junk! If they are a farmer you will see it being welded up! I had one farmer weld a boiler 3 times! Great video guys!
Hate to burst your bubble lads: But those aga barrel cranes have been around since at least 1984 , when I recall seeing one at DON engineering in Wellington !
@@BartonOilBurnerServices Fair enough, Its not meant to put him down and I could have phrased it much better.....🙄 I know of a few who went to DON saw the lifter, thought what a good idea but baulked at the cost ( about a weeks wages at the time IIRC) I came away and made my own many years later. I know a few other guys who did as well, bit of box section and a cheap boat winch in my case. Back in the day a "Aga man" had no option to make his own tools and adapt other tools to the purpose required, as nothing purpose designed was offered until OFFECK came along as far as I am aware. Its a shame oil cookers are dying out, slowly but surely, I have always liked working on them. Cheers.
