Which salt should you take? | ഏറ്റവും നല്ല ഉപ്പ് ഏതാണ്?

Different types of salts for cooking are available in the market. The most common one is the table salt. This is pure white in colour, free flowing and cheapest. However it may contain several harmful chemicals such as silicates and additives which are usually added in the processing step to make it free flowing and to increase shelf-life. Sea salt is a good alternative and much cheaper. It is usually safe to use sea salt as it is least processed. Rock salt contains different minerals that cannot be found in common salt or sea salt. This video is about different types of salts available.

rock salt usually is in big crystals and is difficult to dissolve. But if you powder it or buy powdered rock salt, it will dissolve easily.
