- Hi guys, we know, we know! Another Racechip video but bear with us. Newer cars have ECU's generally locked and because of this until these have been cracked and ready to tune there are not many options out there to get a little more out of the stock car. So we fitted this RaceChip to a brand new T ROC R and ran some 0-60 tests and the difference is in the numbers have a watch for yourself.

Any plans to do a video (or Performance M) with one of these on the BMW B57 diesel? Toying with the idea of fitting one of these to my X5 (40d mild hybrid) as ECU tuning isn’t possible just now. Would love to see some before and after dyno figures!

I'm just curious how you guys have this wired up? I just got a GTS Black for A11 T-ROC 2021 plate, and the wiring loom had a 4 pin plug but the boost sensor appears to be 3 pin. Contacted racechip support and they said they don't have the hardware or the software for the latest model T-ROC and its likely 4-6 weeks away yet...have you guys got some test kit not GA?
Yes this was a development vehicle and we were testing this with RaceChip in Germany. The one for the 2021 T roc R may be a few weeks ago for commercial release.

Not to be negative at all but you claim the T roc had 317bhp and made 355bhp after race chip .. but most standard mk8 golf R are making 340bhp + intact I'm sure forge put out a dyno figure of 358bhp stock on Litchfield dyno ..so is the T roc a detuned version of the golf R or am I missing something here ?
The Golf 8 R is possibly tuned a little more even though the engine is the same it comes out at 340 on our dyno. Whereas the T roc R is 300bhp as manufacturers state but it ran a 317 on ours.
All though the factory hardware is the same the factory tuning will differ. This Troc for example is already detuned 20bhp from factory compared to the MK8 Golf R according to volkswagen. So it was very unlike it was going to dyno the same as the Golf R. However it did dyno hight than the factory quoted figure of 300bhp. In terms of ECU calibrations the factory detuned versions generally always make the same end results as the non detuned version which is always great. We're as the Racechip you are working with the constraints of the current output of the ECU tune and reliant on ECU adaptions.

Have you chipped your Tiguan? I just bought one and wondering what my best option is without modding the ECU so I don't void the warranty.
