The Bronx is the northernmost borough of New York City. While the world famous New York Yankees might be the most recognizable element of The Bronx, this borough is home to so much more.
From The Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden, to sweeping vistas of the Palisades and Atlantic, to bustling shops and streets, The Bronx has something for everyone - even if it isn’t for everyone. The people who live, work, and revel in The Bronx are the epitome of the classic mantra: “If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere” - including the other four boroughs.
Take a journey through all of the neighborhoods of The Bronx, NYC.

Thank you for visiting and commenting!
What was the name of the project on the same block and side of the old Our Lady of Victory Church in 1973? It is torn down now.
The Bronx is named after a savvy Swedish immigrant & merchant/business guy, by the name of Jonas Bronck, born in Sweden in 1600.
In mid June 1639 he came over to New Amsterdam after crossing the Atlantic on a dutch ship, named "De Brandt van Troyen". Eventually,
Mr. Bronck bought land from the Native Americans, expanded & did very well for himself & his family, who was referred to as the Bronck's.
Hence = The Bronx! Ace Frehley of KISS grew up in the Fordham section. Serial killer David Berkowitz grew up in Soundview & Co-Op City.

Hello from Fordham Manor
Hello from Kew Gardens!
Do you have a Riverdale segment?
There will be one in the near future! I visited North Riverdale and Riverdale (including Wave Hill) back in July of 2023 - which means I will be posting the photos and video as soon as I can. You can check here to see all of the photoshoots I took in 2023: www.cityneighborhoods.nyc/2023-photo-shoots
What happened to St Mary’s park? Next time
I have not yet toured every corner of the outer boroughs. But getting to all of the parks is definitely on the to-do list!

Shout out to 971 Kelly Street!
No Allerton shoutout?!? Boooo
Thank you for your feedback! Based on my research, I chose to represent the area you refer to as "Allerton" as the more specific subsections of "Bronxwood," "Olinville," and "Laconia." If I were to revise my maps, how would you define Allerton's boundaries? Also, in your opinion, what would make its inclusion more precise than my current maps which separate it into those two neighborhoods I mentioned above? I appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thanks!

The Bronx used to be an awesome place, just ask Benny Blanco
It still is an amazing place to live
You know why they're building in the Bronx because Manhattan is astronomical living in Manhattan if you want to live in the city the Bronx is the cheapest way used to be all Italian-American built that City but that's what's happening right now is that Manhattan is too expensive they're finally thinking that the Bronx is cheapest real estate you can
There is nothing cheap about living in the Bronx it's all relative
*Be careful fellas" Bronx is absolutely one of the dangerous PL to live*
Disagree. There are many more major metropolitan areas in the US with significantly higher crime rates than The Bronx. Also, there are plenty of places in The Bronx that are very desirable to live in.
YES Riverdale is beautiful, solid with the 50th Precinct. however it's expensive yet competitive. You actually need to take Metro North or Express bus into Manhattan get a car if you want to get to Westchester County
@@TheAbxgirl Riverdale is a hidden gem of The Bronx. Very forested. Tree-lined streets ... even without sidewalks! A really bucolic corner of NYC that most people don't know about.
@@cityneighborhoodsnyci kinda like the fact that riverdale is still hidden from most New Yorkers.. I enjoy living in what I call a metro-suburban neighborhood.
I hope I never have to go to NY or California
