Thx for video. I wish you had spent time showing us how to get rollers back on and where the spring lines up when putting new motor on regulator

The rivet gun (and riveting) is the only way to re-secure the new regulator? It seems it would be next to impossible to get bolts, washers and nuts into those four holes.

You made it way harder than it needs to be. Please watch other videos to see how easy it is.

If you are just replacing the motor it is easier. I think this is what confused you.

Did the window regulator come with the window motor when you ordered it? Or did you have to order the window motor separately?

I believe it was J & E Supply & Fastener in OKC or Fastenal.

This one used 1/4" rivets. Occasionally, I do get rivets with new regulators. You could get a $20, 1/4" hand rivet gun from a place like Harbor Freight, Summit Racing & O'Reilly's. Or HF has an air riveter for $70. A box of rivets for $7. So for $27 you'll save a lot versus paying someone to do it. Or you could buy the expensive ones like I'm using in this video, and the only way they're coming out is by drilling them. Hope this answered your question. Thanks.

this is way to much work, Id just change the motor its self, These vans goes for ever and when a power window motor goes bad its really late in the game, Most are not worth that expensive part your using or all that labor, Just saying ,

I usually find the regulator is worn out also. Besides, I do what I'm asked to do. I can suggest, but whoever is paying makes the final decision.
