Personally, I also liked Origins, Homecoming and Downpour, but I agree with you. This is by far the best post-Team Silent game.

I sure wish more games were like this. Totally a great example of decision making influencing the game. Characters changing. Locations. Dialog. Seriously, it makes this my favorite silent hill game. Sure wish there was a PC version. If memory serves me right, the first time I played, I got the last version of Michelle seen in the video.

Seiya D Luffy its not a perfect example no matter how much i adore that game. life is strange’s choices dont impact the ending you get (either saving or destroying the town,) whereas in this game they affect the ending quite a bit
The only thing that sucks in this game is the Wii features. They should have erased it for the other console versions.
@@brorianszk they fit quite well in the wii though, i mean, pointing the flashlight and hearing the calls trough the wii remote felt just like it should

I like the first one and I honestly did not realize that was supposed to be provacative, seemed tasteful to me. I do like the plain jane as well.
Even after years, I still love this game! Silent Hill Shattered Memories was my first Silent Hill and I really liked that. The story, the characters, the soundtrack... everything makes me feel sad, but in the same time, completely into it.
(The third version is the best of all for me)
Thanks for making this, I like how in this version of Silent hill, there are choices that affect gameplay, and Michelle is my favorite one. Surprisingly, the characters's voices and facial expressions are spot on, I will definitely get this game. Thanks once again for making this video!
I dunno why people keep hating this game, just because its set in another timeline and its not like the previous games do not mean is a bad game i like this title because is actually a lot psychological just like sh2 and this makes everything better
It was just not trendy al the time, bad graphics, etc. Also, people seems more interested in lore and silly religions than the psychological aspect or characters...sigh
@@SoftBoiledArt ikr the problem here is that seriously too many fans are attached to the old titles (and be honest probably all those "hardcore" fans only played sh2 maybe sh3 yet i know there are a lot of fans who doesnt act like that and played the other titles) and because of that newer games (but konami fucked up everything we wont get any new game) will seen be as shit because "They're not like the older games"
I played this jewel in my psp about 4 years ago from that moment I found a feeling of affection with this game that no other has been able to give me, the essence of this same is what attracts me the subject of psychology and not something of the Devil or satanic for my personal taste makes it interesting, I speak mainly Spanish since I live in Mexico but the simple fact of having played it and having understood more or less about the story (since at that time I was not very advanced in English) It made me delight one of the best and few jewels currently that there is in terms of psychological terror, taking the main story out of mind, the only thing that I did not like was the base game theme, since mostly 70% of the game goes from point A to point B but taking away all that and its riddles is a real work of play :)

This was my first silent hill I've played and it's by far one of the best silent hill alongside SH2.

I played a lot and got all the endings, but no matter how hard I tried, I never got to see the Plain Jane Michelle.
the first one is the coolest character wise, the last one was the best musically.
Even tho she isnt in the original game i wish we could see her in a Silent Hill 1 remake if that ever happens since for some reason they wanted SH2 to get a remake but not the og

I was 11 years old when I first played this game and I remember everything the computer puzzle, the bridge, running with no idea to were.

First run I got Prom Queen with the Gentle personality. Played this at an unfortunate time that really resonated with the twist lol! I do wonder how much my SM would have changed over the years…

I swear to god i finished this game a month or 2 ago and i didnt knew what complex game it was. Like the very first things you do change most of the game.
I dont know what choices decide what the character look like but after watching the other ending on youtube i am pretty sure i got the happy ending.
But i will say it was a pretty good game.

How can i get Princess Michelle with "outgoing" attitude? In my first play, she act outgoing, and i get the "Love Lost" ending...but in the second play, even getting the "Sleaze and Sirens" ending, she had the "demure" attitude...

Wiki page only suggests reason/effect relations and does not dive into mechanism that leads to that effect.For example, I would like to know how matching couples work and what is the philosophy behind it and wiki page does not truly explain it.
I also thing that the "Guilt" part plays big role in the ending where Cheryl could find you guilty or vice versa.Actually this is very impressive because while playing these parts you actually don't realize how you affect the plot but at the end everything gets illuminated.
I always wanted to play this game because of its relation to the original Silent Hill.I am a huge of fan of the series and I still keep my copy of the Silent Hill game.It was one of my first Ps1 games.Back then I purchased Ps2 version but it had a glitch that made the game unplayable for me.
Recently I bought Psp and grabbed copies of Silent Hill : SM and Silent Hill : Origins.
I never thought of the symbolism that you wrote down,an intriguing idea indeed.That is very interesting and it does make sense.Thank you very much.This led me to silent hill forum where people actually discussed these aspects of the game back then.

Why graphics from ,,Silent Hill Shatered Memories" look like just like cutscene graphics from the first Silent Hill?
Gmail User they dont, but consider that this game came out on the ps2, psp, and the wii. please dont be so quick to judge a game by its graphics! its a wonderful game, i finished it a couple days ago and it had me bawling.
The cutscenes from the original Silent Hill were CGI made by Sato-san, all by himself.
These cutscenes from SM are made with game engine itself, nk CGI. This is completely different.
