Kazuoh The alphabets are no similar, but Greek melody is very close, and most consonants. The vowels Greek has are like the Finnish ones, just we Finns have 3 more, and they can be short of long, which can change the meaning. Well, the y sound was in the Classical Greek, the ä is like the English words hAt or dAd ('hät, dääd'). the ö you could say as the English wOrk, stIR, hEArd ('wöörk, stöör, höörd'). It's not exactly the same, but we hear that as th Finnish ö. Which is said in the same place as e in bEt, just with rounded lips. Like German Göthe ('Gööt(t)e'), or French bleu ('blöö').

Поклон пред свидните жертви дала Финландия за нашата свобода! Финландец изгражда българската армия! Вечна признателност!
Many Finns havent been taught this part of about our History, the fight for freedom of people of Bulgaria in late 1800s. But even this song is repeating "Music was playing, when our boys marched at the walls of Gornji Dubnjak, and that place is in Bulgaria.
Indeed. I was hardly aware of this until I checked out this comment section.
Jep ja onhan noita. Porilaisten marssissa ”Leipzigin ja Narvan mailla vertaan vuoti” ja ratsuväen marssissa ”Ja ratsuamme Nevan vuossa juotettihin
Se ui kuni häihin yli Veikselinkin;
Se kalpamme kostavan Reinille toi
ja Tonavasta keisarin maljan se joi”. Tästä toki kaikkein vähiten.

Count on me when it comes to economy. I'll support you the best way I can finns. I've actually tried to mobilize the masses to become more Finland-friendly and to buy more finnish wares. Especially since I saw the speech on YLE made by the finnish prime minister in 2015. What's good for you is good for us as well, simple logics. But also I have veterans in my family thats fought and died for Finland for many times, and by honoring their names and their deeds I will also support you for that reason.
Dear regards from ystävä Ruotsia
Amen to this! I tend to buy swedish products when it comes to tools, outdoor gear etc. because I know they are top notch when it comes to quality and durability. Unfortunately the trend these days seems to favourite the cheap and disposable crap that comes from the far east and I DESPISE that trend.
Hälsningar från Finland!
Well, you guys make hell of tar licorice on the other hand. Too bad that it can't be found anywhere around here in Sweden. I've been to candy stores asking for it and they just give me a weird look, like if I'd be asking for drugs or something hahaha :D
Got to go back to Finland soon again, love that country!
We also make quite badass tractors and wood industry machinery. Valtra, Ponsse...etc.
I used to drive one of those Wille tractors at a former job. They were comfortable and effective. so thumbs up!

Whats up cousins?
I actually somehow managed to do a sing along perfectly
i think our language is very similar to Greek (you know alphaphets)
can read Japanese goodaswell?
yeah, but only if it's written in latin.
Me to. I just listen to it 10 times then see if any letters are pronounced differently then i sing along.
Kazuoh The alphabets are no similar, but Greek melody is very close, and most consonants. The vowels Greek has are like the Finnish ones, just we Finns have 3 more, and they can be short of long, which can change the meaning.
Well, the y sound was in the Classical Greek,
the ä is like the English words hAt or dAd ('hät, dääd').
the ö you could say as the English wOrk, stIR, hEArd ('wöörk, stöör, höörd'). It's not exactly the same, but we hear that as th Finnish ö. Which is said in the same place as e in bEt, just with rounded lips. Like German Göthe ('Gööt(t)e'), or French bleu ('blöö').

Respect to Finland from Ukraine! You have a great country! Such an awesome nature and interesting language (I'm a philologist, so I'm kinda into that stuff xD). BTW I've just finished reading Mannerheim's memoires... even got my grandma to read it (she is a former Soviet history teacher). Most of the things about the Winter war etc were not taught in USSR, and now she actually started respect Finland even more. Like she said: "Finns sacrificed a lot of their lives, for their freedom". Mannerheim! Suomi! Verta pakkiin!

Suomi forever
My grand grand father fought trough both of the wars in Finland at WW2. And it’s a thing that when you go to war you don’t come back as the same person.he didn’t ever talk about the war. And when he did he said only maybe two words like once when he was asked he said:Tapoin ja kuiskasin ruumiita=I killed and buried the corpses.
And he almost never had a good night sleep.😢
Surullista. Mutta kiitos hänelle, sillä hän taisteli Suomelle!
I'm from Finland! Suomi on paras maa! Finland is the best!🇫🇮🥰
