Cold therapy/heat therapy, resistant training/interval training, sleep hygiene, higher protein intake, caffeinated coffee/ green tea, drinking water in the morning. I’m willing to try all except the cold therapy.
Drinking water and drinking coffee in the morning is a no brainer! I have also switched from 3 cups of coffee to one cup, then black or green tea. I am almost carnivore, so I get lots of protein. I am into yardwork and gardening, so I get some Hiit or Rhit everyday, and I prioritize my sleep time. I also study and indulge in vitamin therapy. Right now, at 73, I am doing great!
Thank you Dr Becky! I've been following your channel for over a year now. During the last 18 months, your advice has helped me lose over 50 pounds. All I did was eat smaller portions with a higher ratio of protein, (little or NO sugar) and mild exercise like walking or swimming. Seeing this transformation has inspired my wife to lose weight too! So, Sincerely, we both THANK YOU!
Great video. In regards to resistance training, I’ve found it helpful to get a set of high quality resistance bands, and perform a vertical push and pull and a horizontal push and pull and some squats. All movements one set to failure. If you truly go to failure, doing this once or twice a week should be adequate. 20 to 40 minutes per week.
I’m happy to support you as you were the gateway to my healthy self! I purchased the book and will have it hanging around in my house when our very sugar addicted friend who is worried about his health comes to visit. Maybe he will take a look! I couldn’t have made all the other changes in my life without your 0-1-2-3 approach. Getting off sugar was a necessary first step!! Thank you both.
So wonderful to see you guys together I always love these programs thank you for all that you have done for a lot of people in their lives concerning weight control. Gained a little bit over the holidays added back a little bit of sugar but getting back on track did not wait till the first of the year started right after Christmas dinner!! Highly recommend your book I have given it away to friends and they are doing wonderful in victory is just around the corner!!!!
Thank you for your comment, Beverly! It's great to hear that you got a head start on the new year. I wish you the best and appreciate you sharing my book!
Keep doing videos for all of us in the new year!!!! You both look great so you must be doing something right! Happy New Year!🎉. I'll be doing all of these things except for the cold therapy.
Got my copy of the book delivered yesterday! My husband and I look forward to a sugar detox after a season of sugar binging. Your guidance is inspiring, and provides a manageable framework that I (mostly) follow year-round. 😀 Wishing you both a happy, healthy 2025!
So glad the holidays are over. I prefer my low carb eating. I did not enjoy cooking treats to cover the holidays. I love Christmas. But I no longer find traditional foods a reward! And to think low carb is like a salmon fighting against the stream! GOD HAVE MERCY.
Very helpful. I am willing to do all except heat. I do many of these sporadically, however I will be incorporating these into daily/weekly routines. Thanks!💗
Happy New Years Dr. Becky and Dr. Keith. Thanks for all the great direction over the past several years. (Thinking about HIIT, I'd like to get a stationary bike support/trainer so I can use my gorgeous TDF road bike in the winter in my little apt.)
My hot tub is my friend. Also love sauna. Enjoy a cold plunge. Hate cold showers, but can tolerate on my legs which is beneficial for circulation. All in for increased protein and avoiding carbs. Can’t do caffeine, it kills my sleep.
SO VERY GOOD to see you both! 😍. I MISS 2FitDocs days, where I lost those ugly 65 lbs of fat.. you both are like “FAMILY” to me 🫶🏽 (My cold therapy is shovelling snow outside off my patio with no jacket on, up here in Canada 😂🥶) I drink caffeinated coffee and 2 cups water first thing in the day too. Happy New Year INCOMING 🎊🫶🏽 Dr Becky and Dr Keith. And to EVERYONE watching this too 🎊🫶🏽. It’s going to be…the BEST YEAR EVER 💕🙋🏻♀️from 🇨🇦🥰
This was a very interesting video, extra protein, drinking coffee, and water in the morning, sounds perfect because I already do this! 😂 Happy New Year to you both and thankyou for all of the very helpful advice that you've given throughout the year! Wishing you good health and happiness, bless you! ❤️⚘️❤️
I’m on board with the coffee, drinking water upon waking increase protein and taking hot baths. 🎉 Happy New Year to you both so glad to have your videos for encouragement!! God bless you!
I am so glad you brought up drinking water first thing in the morning. I started doing this consistently after your first video. I really feel that it has worked. Other benefit, I feel more hydrated. I know that my body is absorbing 500 ml of water plus a couple cups of coffee, because I don’t urinate sooner than 2 hours after drinking. Can actually set the clock. I found that VERY interesting. Also, I have found both of you to have the kindest delivery of the low/carb/keto channels. I always check in, even after 3 yrs. I have found you to be spot on with your message. Happy New Year!
Hi Becky, I have just signed up for the 21 day low carb challenge. Just need to get my grocery list at the weekend and will get started. Hopefully I can start budging the stubborn post menopausal weight. ❤️🇦🇺
❤ Love the channel, I have see you for years, love that your husband is back in a few videos. Is good to her him have his say and opinion 😊 Thanks for your channel
All but the cold shower or bath 😬, Great advice to end 2024, and a great start for 2025. Thank you for the info, you guys are great, happy new year and happy healthy new year 🎉❤
Thank you for this, Happy New Year! I'm willing to do them all but I'll probably do hot therapy only on weekends when I have time to use the gym sauna.
Good to see you Keith, you look well. I think you should convince her to do the cold therapy for all the fasting you did, LOL. Love the channel. God bless you both and Happy New Year. And I do all of them but the re-hit.
Yes, I will continue to drink 2 glasses of water in the morning, drink coffee and matcha/green tea, eat more protein, sleep therapy, walk and weight training, too. Thank You Both for the successful tips for the year 2025 and Beyond! Have a healthy, wealthy, happy Prosperous and Prayerful New Year, 2025 and Beyond! YAH/God BLESS YOU ALL!!😊❤❤🎉🎉
Happy New Year’s Eve! I’m willing to try drinking 2 cups of water first thing in the morning, increasing my protein intake, and resistance training. When it comes to resistance training, I’ll stick with beginner-friendly exercises for now. I haven’t done or been consistent in doing resistance training for a while.
I hope black tea counts! I’ll do the extra water, I do HIIT exercise 2-3 times a week. Have to remember to stop caffeine by 2 pm, or I can’t get to sleep! Thanks for the practical and doable list.
A less drastic cold therapy method is to turn the shower to completely cold (will be less than 70 degrees in the winter in many locations) for 1 minute at the end of your shower.
Thank you drs Becky and Keith! You provide information that is easy but effective! Just one question: the two cups of water in the morning.. Does the temperature play a role... Hot or cold..?
Dr. Berry says, "Use your dark colored truck in the summer for a sauna." It feels good to me. Cold therapy not so much though I have tried it at different times.
Can u do a video about all these mushroom supplements and if they affect keto diet? I am taking. Every dose in my coffee and I like it. Also which collagen is good.? Are these too off topic or niche?
I appreciate your videos and hope you can answer my question. I have been practicing intermittent fasting and following a mostly low-carb diet. Generally, I eat my first meal after 2 PM, which often consists of eggs and sometimes avocado. For dinner, I usually have meat soup and a small portion of white rice. I never eat breakfast. I think one of the biggest problems when people eats is not knowing how must 'actual food' to eat when it comes to macros. You mentioned protein as an example - the weight of, say chicken, is not the weight of protein from that chicken. Same for beef, turkey, lamb etc.
I do aqua in the local gym pool and it’s always 🥶! They just can’t get the temperature right- so that’s my contribution. But only one cup of coffee- ok?
Drinking 500ml of water, can it be herbal tea? Since post menopause I am having so much trouble getting the weight off. I did 4 years of keto and lost 10kg within the first year and after that I couldn’t budge anymore weight off. The last 16 months I started full time work in a job that requires a lot of walking and I have gained 5kg and an apron belly, I have just started low carb eating after following your channel and am incorporating exercise. I also do intermittent fasting for 16 hours. Thank you for all your guidance ❤️🇦🇺
You can drink herbal tea throughout the day. However, the specific metabolic boost from water requires you to drink 500ml (2 cups) quickly in the morning.
Cold therapy, resistance training, coffee, drinking water. Happy New Year!
Cold therapy/heat therapy, resistant training/interval training, sleep hygiene, higher protein intake, caffeinated coffee/ green tea, drinking water in the morning. I’m willing to try all except the cold therapy.
Thank you!❤
Ha! I live on the US Gulf Coast, where the weather emulates a sauna for about 4 months of the year. I'm gonna live forever!
😂😂❤
People in cold climates live longer on average which is sad for those of us who live in a sauna like location. What's the opposite of brrrrr? 🥶
Drinking water and drinking coffee in the morning is a no brainer! I have also switched from 3 cups of coffee to one cup, then black or green tea. I am almost carnivore, so I get lots of protein. Good to see you Keith, you look well. I think you should convince her to do the cold therapy for all the fasting you did, LOL. Love the channel. God bless you both and Happy New Year. And I do all of them but the re-hit.

Happy New year to you!
Happy New Year!
Yes, Bill Phillips I still have the VHS video. I even remember Jack Lalanne. No wet cold or sardines for me.
YAH/God BLESS YOU ALL!!😊❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you! God Bless and Happy New Year!
Great! Happy New Year's Eve!
I hope black tea counts! I’ll do the extra water, I do HIIT exercise 2-3 times a week. Have to remember to stop caffeine by 2 pm, or I can’t get to sleep! Thanks for the practical and doable list.
Caffeinated black tea works for this purpose!
A less drastic cold therapy method is to turn the shower to completely cold (will be less than 70 degrees in the winter in many locations) for 1 minute at the end of your shower.
Happy New Year
Happy new year!
Coffee/green tea, water first thing in the morning, sleep hygiene ... have been working on all of these. Thank you, and have a blessed 2025!
Thank you! Happy 2025!
Happy New Year 🎉
Happy New Year to you as well!
Thank you, great information! I'm 68, is whey protein good for us seniors to increase protein intake?
Yes. Read the label to avoid added sugar.
heat therapy, sleep hygiene and protein boosting
TY!
I got a sauna blanket for pretty cheap. Highly recommended.
Thank you drs Becky and Keith! You provide information that is easy but effective!
Just one question: the two cups of water in the morning.. Does the temperature play a role... Hot or cold..?
The temperature of the water did not play a role in the study.
Dr. Berry says, "Use your dark colored truck in the summer for a sauna." It feels good to me. Cold therapy not so much though I have tried it at different times.
🤗TWO FIT DOCTORS…….. thank you both. Happy and healthy 2025 wished for you
Happy and Healthy New Year to you as well!
Can u do a video about all these mushroom supplements and if they affect keto diet? I am taking. Every dose in my coffee and I like it. Also which collagen is good.? Are these too off topic or niche?
I will keep them in mind. Maybe I can work them into a video. Thanks!
Weights, coffee, water, protein intake. These are my choices.
Heat therapy, resistance training HIT, drinking water first tling in the morning and coffee much black coffee….
Becky, do you recommend adding heavy cream to the coffee, thanks
The studies specifically excluded cream as well as sugar.
Recently, I started wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to gain better insights into my blood sugar levels. I work out every morning, and I’ve noticed that my fasting blood sugar in the morning is sometimes around 90 and other times closer to 100. After working out, my blood sugar rises slightly and then drops, which I believe you’ve addressed in your videos.
However, my biggest concern is nighttime glucose crashes. These drops wake me up in the middle of the night, and they’re impacting my sleep.
How can I better manage nighttime glucose crashes? Would it be more beneficial to eat a larger first meal and have a smaller portion for dinner? I’d appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Drinking coffee as I listen to this video.
I think one of the biggest problems when people eats is not knowing how must 'actual food' to eat when it comes to macros. You mentioned protein as an example - the weight of, say chicken, is not the weight of protein from that chicken. Same for beef, turkey, lamb etc.
The heat and cold therapy is a waste of time take the same amount of minutes and run around the block and you’ll get far better benefits
Definitely the coffee one! lol
I love coffee but it triggers horrible acid reflux so I have been drinking decaf but thinking I may get back onto the caffeine. I will be 65 in May and always looked after my health and fitness so this is very frustrating for me. I am not a big eater, (I eat until I am satisfied so I am not starving myself) my partner is always shocked when I tell him I have gained. I love your channel and have been binging on your videos, hoping I can get things moving again, also I am going to start taking Berberine, have you heard of it and do you think its a good idea? I also do intermittent fasting for 16 hours. Thank you for all your guidance ❤️🇦🇺
You can drink herbal tea throughout the day. However, the specific metabolic boost from water requires you to drink 500ml (2 cups) quickly in the morning.
Heat water and coffee...lets goooooo!!!!😂
All but cold therapy
