    Unprotected chair shots started out as a thing in Japan, but that was because the seat of the chairs were removable. The fan reaction was louder because the seat popped out on impact, but it was relatively safe for the person taking it. American wrestlers saw that and started duplicating it in the States, only they were doing it with steel chairs that had little to no give. Fans at the time didn't care because we wanted wrestling to be more real, and if people were getting hurt that just meant wrestling wasn't really fake. It was stupid then, stupid now, and both fans and pros were stupid for doing it, taking it, and enjoying it. (Myself included)

    • @JeremiahEcks777
      @JeremiahEcks777 10 днів тому

      Yeah but it doesn't fit the narrative to remember that. The snowflakes want to say "BuT THe SHoTS TaKeR HiT KaNYoN WiTH aRe WoRSe CoS He'S GaY aND ViNCe aSKeD HiM To". Bull. Nobody has ever corroborated that story except one person playing the victim card who was also playing the victim card for a whole load of other things but that's not a trustworthy source.
      No other wrestler or creative has corroborated it and the fact that Pat Patterson was venerated so highly and openly gay immediately starts to present bullsh*t on this. If Taker was potatoing Kanyon because he's gay, don't you think Pat would have had issue with it too? He still had influence with Vince.
      But nobody says it except a bunch of wrestling marks on the Internet.
      Taker was always stiff with his chair shots. Always. He also had stiff punches. He was old school. You don't have to like it and I'm sure Taker wouldn't do it now himself but the truth is there's no story here except one person crying victim and people trying to tear down people to meet a narrative. Which doesn't exist.
      If it DID happen please another wrestler, a person who was actually there and KNOWS, please correct me.

      I mean football was the same way, over the years rules were developed on how you can tackle, like no helmet to helmet contact, and the helmets are still being updated to this day to better protect the athletes heads. The science literally wasnt there to show the long term damage these hits could do. Wreslters basically thought, "well, this chair shot will sting for a bit, but after my bells ring for a minute, i feel fine." Cause thats how it was, there wasnt any studies yet showing how bad it fucked up your head in the long run.

    Aight, it's great we're talking about CTE.
    Can we now talk about Benoit and his public apology, and a posthumous induction into the HOF. He is a legacy, tragic as it is, to what these athletes put their bodies through.
    It's not about celebrating the tragedy, it's about acknowledging sacrifice and taking responsibility.

    • @CarnageRulez469
      @CarnageRulez469 2 місяці тому +9

      No one’s going to talk about it, cause there’s nothing left to talk about. The fact is that CTE doesn’t matter in regard to the moral implications of his actions, nor is it a good excuse to allow him in the HOF.
      Benoit still murdered his wife and son. Such a man should not be celebrated or acknowledged in any capacity. He ruined his legacy with his actions, simple as that.

    Most symptoms resolve within a cpuple weeks up to 6.
    But for the average person they will be fine but athletes wrestlers militwry etc' as soon as they stsrt getting their heartrate up fatigued the symproms come back. It can take up to 12 weeks but no one is sitting out that long, they didn't really connect the dots like that. Because they didnt realize the long term old age effexts.
