I've just discovered Maven's channel and I'm binge-watching all his videos. He's a very charismatic storyteller, and I don't see any resemblance to The Rock as some people suggest. I love what you're doing, man, Keep up the great work! I live in Italy, and back then, the shows weren't on our TV channels as much as in the US, but I still had a great time watching it in the early 2000s.

@@jd9119Exactly. There is so much recentcy bias. The 80s had 33 million people watching. The 90s had 16 million people watching. Now we have 3 million at BEST.
Today is the lowest it's ever been. Match quality is down across the board. That's why old videos are the most popular on UA-cam.
If this era was so good the average age of the WWE fan wouldn't be 47 & the most watched content wouldn't be "The Attitude Era" & "The Golden Era."
The least watched is AEW who can barely get 20,000 views. That's WILD to think even their UA-cam channel has less views than a typical MSG HOUSE SHOW from WWE.

@@mikesannitti6042That’s a false narrative. Scott Steiner failed Scott Steiner. He had a pretty solid push but he was sluggish and couldn’t perform to the same standard. Today, Scott takes accountability for his second WWE run. Goldberg was given a massive push in WWE, even became world champion. Goldberg didn’t realize that WWE is WWE and they do not operate the same as WCW was like. Goldberg became a problem backstage. Of course his push would wind down due to his lack of flexibility. Goldberg came back years later and was given a great run for those that were still Goldberg fans. Steve Austin, Triple H, Mick Foley, Undertaker, etc. all came from WCW yet they were given massive pushes during the Attitude Era. Booker T had his best run ever in WWE as World champion as King Booker.

Him being booked to only do a couple moves fed into the negative narrative about him even though in WCW he was doing drop kicks, backflips, judo hip tosses, and a variety of mma inspired moves. And when I say wcw guys I mean the top tier guys who came over after the buyout.
