No where in the world can you find all of this good food in one place except Hawaii. I grew up in Kaneohe, and am now living in California and know for sure that only in Hawaii can you get all this amazing food! Hawaii has such creative food artisans in Hawaii! I wish we had these delectable desserts, savory dishes, and creative cocktails here on the mainland, but we don't. This is why every time I come home to Hawaii, the first thing I do is eat! Now, after watching many of your episodes, I have a huge library of places to try, and can't wait! Locals: consider yourselves very blessed to be in a place that has the most onolicious foods!
You two are making it so hard to plan for our 4 days in Oahu... So much delicious food to try! I'll be grinding sun up to sun down!

Yama's sounds a must go for locals. On my list for their in house pie then decide about the entree. Good haupia is worth a drive.

Couldn’t believe Poke are so expensive now. Lau Lau is my fave, will definitely try Squid Luau. I have a sweet tooth, so no skipping the desserts segment here. Haupia and Shortbread, YES! Again, you both have the best Foodies Ohana. Thanks Amanda&Felix😘😘

hahahaha yes, everyone DOES have their own approach, habits, and patterns of enjoying hawaiian food. if the plate contains both kalua pig and laulau, i eat the laulau with the plate and save the kalua pig to be stir-fried with cabbage & onions for another meal lol. i also usually get chicken longrice instead of squid luau (though y'all made it look super yum so probs will try next time). nowadays a hawaiian plate will give me 3 meals to complete it so it's actually budget-friendly 😁

Yes, Yama's! Okay, shhh not loud. The parking lot is already full. The laulau plate is favorite. I get hijiki rice too if they have. Just how haupia is good too.

For local Korean plate lunch, have you tried Gina's BBQ at Kapiolani Blvd? Next to Foodland Market City. They've been there since the 90s or earlier.
Gina's is one of our go to when we can't decide on dinner! Definitely will feature them one day 🤙
A tear comes to my eye! I really miss Yama's when it was also in Waipahu. In fact, that was my preference over Tanioka's even though Tanioka's is right down the road. My favorite was the limu ahi poke because they used the large ogo, not the stringy on that most poke places use, so it was a crunchy mouthfeel.
Couldn't agree more with the ogo! It does have a nice mouth feel 🤤

You guys should try “ocean taste” they have bomb poke and they used to be at Ohana hale but are now relocated at kaimuki 🤙🏼 great video as always guys!!
We tried them when they first opened at ohana market place. It was one of our earlier videos (embarrassing one) lol. Might have to try them out again at the new location 👍

I'm sorry but I almost always skip over the dessert section, but that is because I do not eat sweets and so I don't care about that part of Hawaii
