who else loves tom's voice
metal groupie
I 💜 Tom..and his voice..it'z too bad that there were always issues between all 4 of the original members, that Jeff passed, and that all good things come to an end! 37 years of being the REIGNing masters of thrash! Caught 'em on final tour last week! LONG LIVE SLAYER!
Perfect his scream intro to angel of death is incredible and has not changed over all the years if anything he has a better sound with his maturity
Gotta respect the fact Tom is always laughing and smiling. He seems like a genuinely nice person.
Lead singer for major thrash band..big teddy bear in real life..very sweet guy.
Damn, Tom is such a down to earth guy.
I love how laid back he is when he is not performing.
People trickling away to Slayer? What kind of world do we live in? It could be 6am and I would be on it if Slayer started playing live. Hell just jamming Slayer in the car on the way to work gets me pumped!
Yeah exactly! I saw Slayer on some festival in St Helens Oregon with Slipknot headlining. Slayer played right before Slipknot and the place was just insane, fucking chaos like ya used to read about back in the old days. My brother said he had to run to use the bathroom 3 or 4 songs in and said even the concession stands, beer garden, merch booths, everything was abandoned and even a lot of the security people were watching the show instead of doing their jobs! It was so fucking rad. I've seen Slayer 19 times, but that one in particular was just hands down insane. They were fucking ON FIRE and just owned everyone and the crowd was 110% into it. Anyway, short story long, as soon as Slayer was done crushing, over half of the crowd left and Slipknot played to a lot of green grass and long lines shuffling out.
Ryan Cox ,Fuckin A you know what time it is my man , fuck all the slayer haters just saw them in boston they ripped it up ...REPENTLESS
Like was said, most of the bands were “radio friendly.” That tells me the crowd has A.) Lousy taste in music, and
B.) No constitution whatsoever for the religious experience that is SLAYER!!!
They’re like over 50. It’s not the same band. Different members.
@@smkxodnwbwkdns8369 Slayer will always be Slayer as long as they keep it Slayer. Look at AC/DC... Lost their front man, when they were at the top. People thought they were through. Then Brian Johnson stepped up, channeled Bon Scott and summoned the rock gods, and made history with Back in Black and many more after. That's just one example. Keep it Slayer, and you can't go wrong.
I thought that Sleep Apnea and Ukrainian Statue were two bands
Werner Michel Lmao
Werner Michel xDD
they probably are.
they changed the title, i look so dumb now lol
Werner Michel haha you made them change the title
Tom sounds so comforting
Poor Tom gave his neck to metal :/
3rd World Gamer So did Corpsegrinder and Corey Taylor.
M'aiq the Liar corpsegrinder didnt give his neck to metal... a Neck gave his corpsegrinder to metal
M'aiq the Liar Corey taylors neck looks up to corpsegrinders neck for inspiration
Christian Bennett It's still a beefy ass neck.
Newsted also apprently
i have awful sleep apnea, before i got setup with my cpap i was constantly tired and needing long naps, which did nothing. energy was horrible. cpap is a life changer!
Kulvis Flabu same here. +1 for apnea awareness.
+1 from me too, CPAP helps so much
hi man, what is CPAP? I have no idea...I have problems with sleep apnea too...pls let me know...thank you!
Basically you are choking to death in your sleep. I have a CPAP. You would need a sleep study
You stop breathing during Sleep Apnea, the CPAP machine helps you keep a regular respiration so you can get your deep REM sleep.
I’m new to Slayer, but you can tell Tom is ready to come home and stay home.....he really seams like a one of a kind/from the heart guy.
Just caught Slayer 2 weeks ago in LA. They still put on a great show and are definitely worth seeing.
...
Tom is a righteous man. Bless him.
Tom is a metal Santa Claus
mmm COOKIE! Sleigher
I remember Jeff H. (RIP) talking about being tired and wanting to maybe retire - then he died. I wouldn't hold it against Tom A. if he retired. How much energy can any one person be expected to have? He has already expended more energy than millions of people combined ever will.
They don’t come more genuine than this man, I love Tom.
This is the reason I love this chanel thank you loudwire
my uncle died seven months ago because he had sleep apnea. I felt so sad when I discovered that my uncle, jeff hanneman and nick menza were born in the same year. and my father too. I hope it won't happen anything bad to him.
sorry for my bad english, that isn't my mother language.
As much as I love slayer... I think tom should take a few years off and not worry about slayer.. Got to take care of himself, his family.. life is short, can't always be on the road..
I'm imagining Tom's grandkid going up to him and saying "Grandpa, are you Santa?" Then Tom does his contagious belly laugh
The show at First Bank Center was amazing Tom thank you
That man always has a fucking smile on his face.....Love it🤘 Honored to have had the chance to witness this on stage on this last badass tour. Smiles all night🖤
I also use a cpap Machine, and it sucks. I couldn't imagine being on the tour bus with it.
he almost seemed embarrassed about talking about. It's a big deal and can make a difference in someones life. I just ordered a wedge pillow and I'm seeing how that is gonna go
Tom you are a very humble and awesome guy.
tom is now officaly the grandpa of heavy metal
Flew from south Texas to Las Vegas to see Slayer/Lamb of God/Behemoth. Killer fucking show!
Damn, Tom is so down to Earth. Would love to meet him!
I know how he feels. I haven't gotten more than 4 hours of sleep since I was 15. It sucks only getting 3 hours of sleep and having to work, coming home exhausted thinking you'll sleep but only sleep 3 hours. Wake up feeling like you've slept 8 hours non-stop but a few hours later you want to go back to sleep but you can't because you have to be an adult. It has to be absolute hell on the road. I feel awful for him. Knowing this makes me happy he's retiring. You know what they could still do though? Be a studio band.
saw slayer last night here in phoenix, and it was their last date on the tour, he was amazing, you could tell he was ready to be done though, still a great show
He truly gave up so much not just for himself but for the fans who love Slayer I hope he knows that we all love and respect him for what he has done for all of us.
Raddest guy. Thanks for doing what you're doing even after you don't get any sleep and put up with the travel life.
I love Tom's sense of humor he is great
Gotta love this dude🤘
Metal santa is fucking awesome!
He sounds really chill
What a down to earth man 🤘🏽
Tom is just so damn cool love the dude ! Mark UK
Hey, supricingly honest and revealing chat.
Tom Araya the" Legend" and FuckIN Slayer with Mr King is the baddest heavy metal band ever . Met Kerry at the Coachella festival I believe in the year 2000 or somewhere about there . He was the coolest cat and friendliest mofo I ever met . I love these guys 😈🤘🏻 your sacrifice does not go unrecognized and will forever be remembered in history ,thank you for all these gems you have given us to listen to they are truly priceless.
Yeah..Metal Santa is back
he is a great guy
One of the best metal musicians ever!
That is one badass grandpa!
When I first saw this I thought sleep apnea was a band
Good band name tho
We love you tom brother!!!!!!!!!!
Damn, I have sleep Apnea and couldn't imagine tryin to tour and play shows!!!! Message to Slayer you I've the fans nothing!! You've given us great music and countless memories, if this is the last tour . Enjoy it and good luck on your future endeavors... Slayer fan for life......
You owe the fans nothing!!!!
I'm glad my first concert was with Slayer, Behemoth and Lamb of God. Such an amazing show
he looks like an aged Aquaman . love him. met him twice. just amazing dude.
0:19 what a laugh
Tom is the funniest person I have ever seen like honestly 😂😂😂😂
I had sleep apena surgery in 09 it was like changing
God BLESS YOU Tom!!! Stick with the Cpap!!! I know it can be a pain in the ass but it helps... Just meditate on your breathing bro... You'll be snoring before you know it... I LOVE YOU BUDDY!!! Seen you guys 3× I wouldn't change those times for nothing!!!
just a cooool guy
Tpm on stage :yeah motherfuckers you ready to fucking rock
Tom in person : i hope you have a really great day
PAPA Graham!
Would really love to see Slayer here in Ukraine😊
For years the bearded and bushy Tom Araya has always reminded me of like a metal Jerry Garcia.
Very nice guy. Got my first laminate from him in 98
In all seriousness majority of the crowd are "FUCKING SLAYER" fans so I doubt it's a challenge for Slayer themselves to please them if anything the other guys have to try hard to please the Slayer fans
GrayWoIf seriously that was a dumb question
GreyWolf I Agree. Lamb and Behemoth are good bands but neither of them slightly amount to Slayer.
No other band can match the mighty SLAYER 🤘
Tom look like santa with glorious metal hair.
Tom is such a fuckin good dude.
Aguante Araya
Both Tom and Kerry have matured into really nice guys but I STILL cannot get over how crap they treated the nicest and most talented member of their band. Led Zeppelin knew that without John Bonham Zeppelin were not Zeppelin and to be honest without Jeff OR Dave Lombardo Slayer are NOT Slayer to me (nor is their music as good). I do WISH they would come clean about this and show Dave some love. Dave is the nicest guy and they punished him for loving his family like Tom does now!
Saw Slayer/Lamb of God and Behemoth 2 nights ago in Dawson Creek, Canada and it was so frigin AWESOME!!! My neck is still killing me but at least I can talk today.
Wow i have sleep apnea too
seems like a really cool mother....
I thought this was loudwire, those mics are so damn quiet
What song is playing at the end of the interview
TOM ARAYAAAAAAA!!!
he'd such a fuckin pleasant guy
Dude I saw that guy live
World's nicest guy
I would go to see if someone had made my perfect statue :)
Metal Santa clause!
Let's hear an interview about how You Screwed Dave Lombardo all those years
Vavoom for the win, he's such a cool guy. Didn't know he was a grandpa. SLAYEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
FUCKING SLAYEEEEEEER! !!!!!!!!
Sleep apnea is a bitch. It's such a scarry moment to be asleep and awakened at the same time and feel like you see someone who isn't there and fly around your room.😬
But what does Corey Taylor think about Tom Araya touring with Sleep Apnea
TheRubenator
The internet is fucking dead.
stick to blabbermouth, kid
Why mention slipknot garbage music and Slayer at the same time? It's like talking about Beethoven and Kanye West.
@@OnePlickyDood loud wire is hardly any better
Can't get more metal than sleep apnea. Slayer!
TOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
Slaaaayyyyeeerrrr!!!
Tom Arayas' laugh
I really hope that people will surpass war with the help of peace and harmony ☮️
War is hell 💀
slayer is sicc.
who is he talking about at the beginning?
Ukraine has really good metal bands go there
Tom is a grandfather? Shit we're old
its stressful, I can sympathize with Tom its not an "ordinary Job"
He still young
Tom Araya predicted this
Poor Tom
What the name of your dentist bro?
Poor Papa Smurf :/
But what was that about?
FUCKING SLAYEEEEEEER! !!!!
ultimate SLAYER fan
"Are you a grandad?"
Graham: Maybe.
As a Ukrainian I officially state - Ukraine is completely safe for tourists, except for the conflict area in the East of the country, which is dangerous for everyone, even for locals.
Doesn't sound very safe to me, brah.
If I can grant this man one thing I would grant him rest I know what it’s like I cannot sleep on the road I never have
I hate late shows. When I was younger I remember concerts would end at a decent time. Now most I go to end at 12-1 in the morning.
