Today I investigate a water leak in a Peugeot 307 and end up replacing the thermostat as the plastic housing was crumbling away. #peugeot307 #thermostat
Most modern European cars have plastic thermostat housings, it`s cheaper to make and doesn`t last that long so you have to keep on replacing them, not like good old American cars where everything was solid
Thanks for this. My 307 cc is not over heating but when driving the gauge for coolant and oil stays at zero. But strangely when i park and sit in idle the gauges work normal and go to the middle and i have heat in the car. Does this sound like a thermostat problem, maybe stuck open or something thanks.
Good job! 👍🔧But I've never seen a thermostat in a plastic housing. Never.
