• Closing thoughts:
o On wrist - Blown away with the quality and surprisingly perfect proportions, do NOT let the 41mm advertised size deter you, even counting the crown guards and opposing side flanks, it’s still closer to 40mm and the dial to bezel ratio are more akin to mid-sized diver
o Model Variants - Multiple variations available from the brand BUT this one is available at a nice discount in great condition from Belmont Watches
o Comparable models - The GP Laureato and recent IWC Ingenieur come to mind at similar price points but seem lean more towards traditional sporting aspects vs. the all-out luxury flare that the Alpine Eagle has managed to capture
o Bottom-line - The Genta-esque integrated steel sports watch has had quite the return to mainstream popularity, with many standouts found in the entry-level to mid-tier space, so it is really cool to see something that fully commits high-end luxury associated with this particular design aesthetic coming in under $15K mark, that based on level of execution actually feels like something that could cost and upwards of $20K
Still haven’t tried it on yet. Hope it lives up to my expectations as it’s on my shortlist. It’s between this and the titanium Octo Finissimo.
I think i will go try this one...seem stunning in video, can't even imagine how it look in reality...

A very nice watch, but the XPS version is even at a higher level.
The movement in the XPS is awesome and I would seriously appreciate a microrotor in this one. However, I don't like the small seconds, because the iris dial is so stunning.
Where do you take it for servicing? Will this last as long as an omega?
Take it to your local Chopard AD. It will last generations as will all watches that are routinely maintained. Every 7-10 years unless you see a noticeable change in performance.

Polo square TV looks awkward. Proportions look off, especially comparing to the Nautilus since it’s inspired by it. Alpine Eagle is almost its own thing and has good portions

well the beauty of this watch is all about the dial and the strap. frankly its movement is just average. The biggest issue about this watch is that front screws are perfectly aligned while in the back they are just like scattered i have no idea why. feels like chopard just wanna rush these watches out of factory
NO on the go adjustable clasp at this price range 🤦♂️ a deal breaker for many. Such a shame.

Why the rubber strap is only available for the chrono version? Is it even possible to change the bracelet?
Not a true sport watch in my opinion, I'd rather save up for a RO.
Do you have a relationship with AP? If not don’t bother saving up unless you’re prepared to pay the rip off premiums for a less well made watch. I had a 15500 RO that was very poorly made by comparison to the same AE as here that I have now.
That date window is a travesty...my god
Actually not. It’s been carefully considered and while I generally prefer no date this one has been very well executed compared to many even more expensive watches.
