Everyone's a metal fan, they just don't know it yet.
Niiccee.
Facts
Facts
Oh shit lol
Truer words never spoken
*10 seconds into a single*
Kurtis: "Man this shit is crazy!"
Me: Boy, you don't know Slipknot.
This is not their heaviest album also 😆
Disasterpiece
@@Nyxoy81 My fav album.
@@Nyxoy81 for sure it's not, but there are some songs on the album that are very heavy, for example, gematria, this cold black ..
Metal rule no.1 don’t say screamo you could accidentally piss off a lot of metal heads
Screamo sucks but slipknot is awesome
Mr Webster *suprised pikachu face*
Metal rule no.2 DONT CALL IT ROCK 🤣
@@jonnygutierrez2588 yes and no. Metal officially is a subgenre of rock
@@ArpeggioPegasusMusic yep
If u go on a slipknot run I'm on-board.
Stay tuned!
@@KurtisB Solway Firth by them, watch the video and have the lyrics up please
There is actually a lot of hip-hop fans who are also metal fans and vice versa. It's just a natural crossover for whatever reason and I love it. If there is one thing we need in this world today it's for people to be open-minded and I personally think music can bring people together in ways other things cant.
Try Slipknot - Unsainted. Heavy but still accessable for the beginning of your journey.
I think the reason is percussion/rhythm. That’s the common factor, and the lyrics. Cory sings a lot in a type of flow. The drummers for Slipknot have been amazing as well.
Eyeless is a good one.
13_cmi i strongly agree, probably my favorite song tbh
13_cmi how many times do i have to explain this? YOU CANT SEE CALIFORNIA WITHOUT MARLON BRANDO’S EYES
I hate the new “music” tho
They are very influenced by hiphop and rap too. You would be surprised. Try Slipknot - Sulfur, it`s from the same album.
yeah shit like spit it out is hella influenced by hip hop
their entire first album is
Sulfur is becoming one of my favorites
Nah laid to rest by lamb is harder
wait and bleeeed!
Great reaction Thankyou.
Maggot since 2004🖤🇬🇧
Long live the knot 🤘
RIP Paul ❤️
Maggots for life ❤ 👊
Been a maggot myself for the same length of time! 🤘🤘🤘 Rest easy, Joey and Paul...the maggots love and miss you. Two legends gone far too soon. 😢
If you wanna get a true slipknot experience I'd suggest reacting to "Spit it out" (the live at download 2009 version). Not the actual video. You'll see them firing on all cylinders. You being a hip hop head would enjoy the bars thrown on that song as well.
but the official song is more undestandable
The studio version of Spit It Out (Overcaffeinated Hyper Version) is where it's at.
Don't keep suggesting the download 09 consert it's the worst performance for Corey's vocals. The disasterpiece version is better
Agree, live for SiO
SPIT IT OUT!!
Corey Taylor is an absolutely phenomenal singer. If you want to hear Corey's amazing clean vocals, check out Slipknot's song Snuff. He's also the lead singer of a hard rock band called Stone Sour, where he does a lot more clean vocals. Here are some suggestions:
Slipknot:
Wait and Bleed
Spit it Out (2009 Download Festival Performance)
Duality
Before I Forget
Heretic Anthem (Conan O'Brian)
Stone Sour:
Bother
Through Glass
Song #3
Inhale
Influence of a Drowsy God
People=shit ?
Through Glass is Beautiful.
Can't believe you never recommended Gehenna to show his versatility/range. Good list though.
Yeah, Corey is a phenomenal singer.
Him: "The dude can sing!"
Me: "Dude...you have no clue."
ua-cam.com/video/n75NvVHQV4M/v-deo.html
Korn - Freak On A Leash
Alice In Chains - Them Bones
Mushroomhead - Solitaire Unraveling
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People
Wow those are all really good songs
Yee
Good choices!
Oh ye, fantastic choices. Although I would maybe swap solitaire unraveling for the cover a seals crazy, just to show how metal can really change a song
@@kharnethebetrayer4125 Agreed on Crazy. I personally prefer Mushroomhead's cover of it.
Cory Taylor from Slipknot is a very good singer, no doubt. He has a second band "Stone Sour" where he sings softer sometimes. And he also has some rapping skills, good example would be Slipknot - Nero Forte. Slipknot is a Nu Metal band. And Nu Metal also has Hip Hop influences. I think you can hear it in their groove, their flow and rhythm. It's part of their DNA. And it differs them from classic rock or traditional metal bands. They have 9 bandmembers, even a DJ on the Turntables.
So better example of some rap would be Spit it Out I think
@@Aknight292 Maybe, I wanted to recommend a track that might be more accessable for a slipknot beginner.
Slipknot are not a nu metal band just because they have like 10 songs that sound like they have hip hop influences in them. They mismash of different genres influences and every song and album overall feels different. Slipknot are a heavy metal band. That's the best way to describe them overall.
Slipknot isn't a Nu Metal band, they have nu metal inspired and similar songs but they are offivialy a heavy metal band
@@madmadic4308 Slipknot are very far from Heavy Metal in my opinion. They are not a traditional metal band. Everything screams Nu Metal in their sound.
I can recommend
Slipknot - Unsainted
Slipknot - AOV
Slipknot - Critical Darling
Slipknot - Nero Forte
Slipknot - Devil in I
Slipknot - Duality
Korn - Can you hear me
Korn - Cold
Korn - Rotting in Vain
Korn - The Hating
Enjoy :)
Oprhan from slipknot is really good too
Korn - Blind
Korn - Right Now
Slipknot- Nomadic
You're forgetting about people equalshit
Bulletproof!
I hope you guys enjoy my reaction! And I appreciate all of your suggestions. 💯 I'm definitely gonna be doing some more rock reaction videos!
Duality. You have to see duality. If you liked this song, slipknot goes off on duality and i really think you would enjoy, i know we would too ✌🏻
Love to do a fan version of Duality, just take a mother fuckin house and do mother fuckin SLIPKNOTthings to it hehe :) and just got insane and psycho on it hehe :)
I love that he says “looks like somethin outta a scary movie” HALF WAY INTO THE VIDEO
Corey Taylor has a huge vocal range. His screaming will break your skull, his singing will shake your soul!
Just dropped my reaction to Spit It Out (Live At Download 2009)! Go check that video out, guys! Thank you. 🙏🏻💯
Fun fact: Someone did a mashup of this Psychosocial song with Justin Bieber's Baby.
If you want subs do Pantera
@Wes Weldon yea if you want to LOSE subs
Kurtis: *headbangs
Corey: awww that’s cute
You guys are AWESOME! I'm getting a lot of great suggestions from all of you. I appreciate it so much. 💯 Thank you!
react slipknot - people = shit (live london 2002)
Stone sour the singers other band, clean singing you'll love it,looking through the glass great song and video😎🤘
You should check out Babymetal. You could describe them as Japanese Slipknot. It would be as accurate as anything else you could say about them :)
BABYMETAL - メギツネ - MEGITSUNE (OFFICIAL)

The best song for a first introduction to Metal is Metallica One.
Metallica - One (Full Lyrics)

If you haven't heard/seen it before it's a must.
If you want to check out more Slipknot, you should check out them playing Spit It Out live at Download 2009. Not only would you see the pure insanity of their live performance, but the song is pretty hiphop inspired so you might dig it for that as well.
A great suggestion.
I don't know why everyone suggests that version, for me it takes away from the intensity with all the fluff and jumpthefuckup part that got old really quickly.
Their first 2 records have a lot of hip hop influence. "Slipknot" and Iowa. You should really check out the self titled record. It's a bit harsh, but it might be up your alley
I've been a metal head since I was 13 and I am almost 50 now this song kicks ass
Always gotta give credit to someone giving something out of their comfort zone a chance
React to
Slipknot - Me inside
Slipknot - Only one
Slipknot - Spit it out
I like to see people enjoying what i have been enjoying for years.
Welcome to the world of Slipknot.. you will not regret it... but until you see them live you haven't lived.. they're also very humble guys.. like you, I listen to a lot of music but Slipknot is my "go to" for every mood.. Great review!
Tech n9ne wither featuring Corey Taylor from Slipknot
I recently discovered slipknot. Just like most I didn’t think I would like them but I kept listening and eventually fell in love with them 🤘
"The Devil in I" and" DUALITY" next! Also check out the singer's other band Stone Sour.
Mad respect to you for having such an open appreciation for all music even if it’s out of your “comfort zone” as you stated. True professional right here!
Slipknot shows are addicting man I highly recommend seeing them play when they’re in your area! I go with my father all the time it’s the shit lol.
Welcome.... maggot! Looking forward to watching you become a real fan of everything they do and have done, from lyrics, to vocals ranges, musicality, video clips, crowd control, and the fact they’ve been doing it consistently since the 90s
Good shit bro! I love seeing people who take the chance to give heavy stuff a shot and get surprised
If you want to be blown away by Corey Taylor's "singing" (lead singer of slipnot & Stone sour react to "Snuff" accustic live by Corey taylor.
Great performance. The whole set is on UA-cam.
I am SO HAPPY that you had the reaction you did. I grew up listening to nwa, 2live crew, then snoop and Dre and then I got introduced to nin and the rest, as they say, is history. ♥️
If you’re interested in exploring new music, check out the Ukrainian band Jinjer. Their live session video of their song Pisces has a wonderful blend of different genres
This was the frist video I've seen of you.
But you described this song perfectly 👌🏻
rap + screaming + transition to smooth voice, dang corey chill!
I don't know how I didn't see this reaction until now, but... A Slipknot fan was born as this dude watched the video. Good shit. 🤘
Thanks for your reaction brother!
I have fallen down the KurtisB rabbit hole. I think this is my 3rd or 4th of your reactions. I am here because I am, yes, a maggot! Lol. I see that being a maggot is definitely in your future!
This is one of my fav slipknot songs. On one of your other videos, you mentioned this was the first you had watched so I hunted it down to see what you thought. Great reaction! You showed my boys some love so I will subscribe! 😀😅
"This sounds clean"
Distortion guitars- exuse me?
that was my reaction XD
Love the reaction bro. No lie, every time I hear this song I think he’s saying ‘circumcision’ lol
This song is on my Gym playlist. I’m a couple of weeks late but welcome to our crazy world of metal and thank you for appreciating this genre.
You deserve my sub, great reaction bro
This is a great video, thanks :D
One of my favorite songs by slipknot is funnily enough, a very heartfelt one that isn’t super metal-esque, which is “Snuff”. As well as “Through Glass” by the lead singer’s other band “Stone Sour
The Blister Exists from them, you HAVE TO DO IT, it's one of their best and yet one of their most under-rated songs.
Good reaction. Typical reaction in the sense that people who haven’t listened to slipknot before always think of them as another metal screamo band. I recommend listening to a few of their other songs. Surfer, Duality, Spit it out(live download ‘09), Snuff and Unsainted. That should get you started. Not very heavy songs but you can venture to the heavier stuff if you desire.
You opened up a rabbit hole with this one...keep the Rock reactions coming my friend
Did..... Did you just call this rock
I think it was awesome how you react to the video I love slipknot and all kinds of music from metal to rap there's great artists in every genre
Im just here to remember good old times and headbang on this one more time. And yeah bro your reaction was awesome. You even headbanged a little!
Respect for trying something new.
Saw slipknot live in 96 (i think) and it was One of the greatest experiences I've ever had. :)
Very good catch o the psychosocial part. There are two backround singers screaming there. One is in fact saying psychosocial and the other, and I can't believe first time hearing this you caught it, is saying sacrificial. Well done sir
I was a hip hop Dj for over 15 years. This is one of my favorite bands ever. PERIOD. They can do it all. “Snuff” is a very good and soft song.... AOV is amazing - they’re just all dope
Please react to Slipknot - Unsainted 🤟
Cory Taylor has both very good harsh vocals and clean vocals which is what always makes for the best metal vocalists.
Slipknot is the best live band I’ve ever seen and tbh with you understanding the lyrics it comes naturally after listening to it for a while. You get really used to the harsher vocals and you tend to appreciate how well they match the music. If you ever get the chance to look at their live videos you should. There’s no band like slipknot. But imma subscribe cuz tbh I don’t care how many people do reactions to metal, I love when new people get introduced to it and learn to appreciate it and even become fans. It grows the community and tbh as scary as metal fans may seem, we’re really nice people haha.
Unsainted by Slipknot 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really love reactions from open-minded people such as yourself. If you go back on channels like FBE with their Slipknot elders react, you really see how a lot of people don’t want to accept metal as more than noise when bands like Slipknot have so much talent or lyrics with meaning (like with System of a Down, for another good example for lyrics) but you’re making that effort to listen to the lyrics and take something from it and really form a genuine opinion. Awesome react dude!
This is by far one of my favorite Slipknot songs ever. Such a banger
Yep been a metal head 20 years now and SLIPKNOT was my first taste and I was hooked
Number 1 rule of metal music. Don't pause the song when a guitar solo is going. You have to let it play through. Since you love Hip-hop and Rap. You should check Spit it Out by Slipknot. He raps on that one.
Gotta say, this is my favourite Slipknot song. You get to hear a little of Corey’s wonderful singing voice.
Great video man!
More slipknot. Theres alot of good songs. And also tryout a band called Korn. They are very groovy and kinda heavy as well.
dude that was great keep it with the metal!!
When Rappers Hear Heavy Metal, They Love it because its Actually Really Good.
the last lyric of the chorus says " can you see the presentation of the martyr in me?" plus they actually have a song in guitar hero 3, it's called 'Before I Forget'
I'm very pleased nodding, smiling like a proud parent when I see a young one slap metal or rock instead of rap. 🤘🤘 But not gonna lie.. I've heard quite a bit of catchy, enjoyable here and there rap or hip hop. Sometimes both worlds could work..Sometimes not. Just respect other people's different taste in music and all should be fine. 🤘
What's funny is it took me a few years to really get into Hip-Hop and Rap, but I started playing DOOM last year, and I immediately fell in love with Djent, therefore bringing me to Slipknot, and Korn, and from then on, introduced me to Metal Bands like Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, System of a Down, and Avenged Sevenfold. Basically, a Video Game brought me into Instrumental Metal Scores, and eventually to Metal Bands.
Awesome reaction and respect to you for trying out Metal🤘🤘 If this is the start of a Metal journey for you then I'm hitting that button and coming with you lol🤘🤘
Respect I can respect someone who listens to a certain kind of music their whole life but it's absolutely willing to have an open mind and go out of their comfort zone and try something new doesn't hurt slipknot's my favorite band of all time but I listen to everything is well respect keep doing what you do after this video I'll go listen to some of your music
Great review!
Their true talent is in the live concerts, their one of the best live performers in my opinion
fun fact both the guitarist takes part in the solo you can hear one of there guitars ring out before going to the backing track and the other guitarists takes over, pretty cool to watch live
There many amazing slipknot songs that u have to react, i'm sure you will love it
Good video, good reaction !! Saludos desde España 🇪🇸
love this reaction~slipknot fan here
I’ve seen a lot of reactions to this song and all of them shakes their head crazy
I subcribed. Watching you react to music like this reminds me of showing a lot of my friends who are hip hop heads like you this type of music. It's almost nostalgic in a way. If I could recommend a handful of bands to you I'd call for alice in chains, soundgarden, Metallica, and for some laughs Dethklok and tenacious D. Keep it coming brother
i love that you not just react to the song, but analyze this song, its interesting features and details, such as turning off the left guitar for a while, shouting "psychosocial" in the third verse, etc.
Im a huge all around music lover.. Not huge hip hop fan but i subscribed bc he can appreciate all kinds of artist..
I love watching people's first reaction to Slipknot!
The right left thing is just stereo mixing, they have two guitarists so one guitar is on your left side and the other is on your right side. It's also why compared to hip hop when you hear a hi hat it's either mixed more to the left or right depending on how the band want it. Whether they want to emulate the perspective from a drummer or the perspective from the audience.
Honest reaction i like it. Man keep it up.
You're taking your first steps into a brand new world you never knew you needed. Welcome to the metal family.

They had this song on Rock band 3 and it was awesome to play on expert mode. Was so much fun and is a great song..
Love this reactions so much!! You should definitely react to sulfur ❤️❤️❤️
I first heard this song in 2012 when I was in Jr. High, and got into metal/deathcore music just because of Slipknot. Definitely love slipknot since, awesome reaction man. react to other bands like Disturbed and Korn, they're pretty (Sic)!
Nice reax brother. Metal just hits diff for me. Knot def some 🐐 of the game.
As soon as I heard him say that the beginning was crazy I was like man you don't even know what's abt to come down on you
Great job man
Ah, an amazing tune for first time slipknot listeners
It was amazing love ❤️slipknot also I was going to knot fest this year
This song holds a special place in my heart because it was the first Slipknot song I heard. I remember being terrified of this video as a child. I love to see people who haven't given metal much of a chance listen to it and like it. I would love to see you react to Spooks by Dance Gavin Dance. Great video.
A great intro to Slipknot's old songs would be Wait And Bleed. Sick reaction man, nice to see someone open minded to another music genre.
Ladies and gentlemen, we got him!
Welcome to the family.
