Words escape me - I do not know what to say about the years that he lost. Any that I would offer would be insignificant to what I would hope to add to his life - the wishes for his career and to his well being.
Throwing out a false accusation should be considered a crime of severity equal to the severity of the actual crime. Falsely accuse someone of a crime that carries a 10 year prison sentence, you get a 10 year prison sentence, etc.
What is so disgusting about this is that, this woman has scorned all people involved about the idea of rape. Every officer and court member will now look at any accusation of sexual assault with skewed perception. Many will not ever take real crimes seriously and let the real perps escape justice. This woman should be locked up and given the needle as an example to all false claimers.

Luckily he is only 26 years old and with some hard work he can play a few years in the UFL and/or CFL to hone his skills (he was already an extremely talented player in high school that committed to USC) and possibly make it to the NFL by 28 or 29 and still have a good 4-year NFL career.
The prosecution has him in the court room because they believe they have a case, this is true no matter the color of the person. Once in court it no longer matters what they think, they are trying to win the case. The judge or jury are the opinion that matters, and whether a judge feels this way or not he sure as hell isnt going on record as saying so. Essentially what youre suggesting is that the judge said "I am a racist, you dont stand a chance"...or "I no longer value my job, please fire me"

After 4 years in prison the girl felt guilty and told the truth, he got out. However, this girl in the story I read didn't get any money. She was just scared of her father.
