Just realized you changed your youtube name, love it. Been watching your channel for a while, and I'm hoping to visit the Big Island to convince my boyfriend to move their, but until then I just play your videos really loud so that he can't run from the information. Thanks for all your videos!
Curious if you ever bought land there? I'd love to live off the grid too, but unfortunately it's extremely expensive to get good land, even on the mainland.
I can't tell you how many videos are watched of yours food but I think it's official that you're my go-to when it comes to information on Hawaiian Life.
kauai was way more crowded this last trip than it was my previous trips in 2014 and 2015. I was surprised actually at his much it had changed in 2 years.
I really like Kauai, but except for the few really high end restaurants, it is hard to find decent food on Kauai. Other than you being more polite about the Kauai food scene than you needed to be, this is a good and accurate video.
Can't wait to go to Kauai end of March beginning of April!!! My husband and my first time to Hawaii!!! Fits our style perfectly and our price range. We were looking at Maui and Kauai I found that Maui was like double the price then Maui for hotels. We are staying a 5 min drive to Poipu beach!! Can't wait to go!
Justine Hietkamp you will love kauai. I was just there last week for our 3rd time. poipu beach is beautiful. have fun. I love it there so much. we are always on a budget and we always do fine there.
What’s up Jeff. Your videos are very informative. I have probably watched every video you’ve made about life in Hawaii. I really want to move to Maui but I’m a little apprehensive about moving due to the hurricanes and tsunami’s that Hawaii is effected by. What do you guys do to survive through tsunami’s and hurricanes?
Bass-Clef Bongo live up the mountain a bit. Being at sea level during tsunami is no good. The last Tsunami was from Japan in 2011. Search UA-cam for kona during tsunami
I would like to say I enjoy your videos you share a lot of information...I am wanting to move to Hawaii one day, I am Vegan, Naturalist all about the culture. I have two kids and my wife. would you suggest Big Island to live on..? Thank You
Divine Feminine InnerG that’s next Kauai is called Niihau and it’s owned by the Robinson family. The island was originally purchased for $10,000 from the king.
I realize others probably differ, but I feel that for people like me, Hawaii reviews should begin with and major on BEACHES. While I did enjoy several aspects of the islands, nothing compared with the sublime beaches to be found there. I will never forget the bliss that I experienced visiting the best of those beaches -- on another level from any others I have been to elsewhere in the world.
I recently went to Kauai (last month) and I have been to maui (18 yrs ago). Kauai’i is better hands down. So much to do and see. Not as touristy as I had experienced in maui. We used the Shaka Guide app and saved money doing the app tour guides instead of wasting time on a tour bus. We did so much hiking and sight seeing. Soooo gorgeous.
@@sarasayshi great comment. I'm browsing the comments of these videos to help me make a choice between Maui and Kauai. I'm leaning towards Kauai. Maybe both?
Gabo Prado Depends on where you want to stay and what you want to do. If you have a family and get a suite at a beachfront hotel, expect to pay over $8,000 to $10,000. If you are traveling by yourself and don’t want to stay in a fancy hotel, you would pay close to $3,500.
Everyone should start on Oahu. It will give you a dose of "Hawaii" , but also provide you with some familiarity (restaurants, the way freeways work, hotels, etc) . Go once, never go again. I've been to three islands, so my opinion is evolving. My particular favorite is Big Island. It is the most undeveloped, has Volcano national park, Akaka falls, Kona, Pahoa, old Hilo. The best snorkelin gand swimming I've been to is big Island also. Stay at Air BnB's.

Wow. Lots of useful info. You should write it down, add maps and publish book. I am using Google Earth while listening :)
Thanks JJ. What island would be best for buying land and building an off grid homestead to get away and prepare for the up- coming economic collapse?
Have you bought land there yet?!?

Thanks Aimee :) I am so excited! Which rental car company have you found to be the best and cheapest? Thats the next thing we have to look into.
I’m here right now! I just got in, so I don’t know much yet.
I live on Oahu and it's awesome.
We're planning a trip, but we haven't decided which island yet.
What's the best thing about Oahu?
Awesome mindblowing!!

Lanikai Beach in Oahu has some of the best swimming in Oahu, and maybe even all of Hawaii.
Thank you for info we will be coming to Hilo in January 2018
How are you doing there? Do you like it?
GREAT ANALYSIS! Was genuinely impressed by your effort to be objective in your assessments and I agree completely W/Re: the big Island. NICE JOB!
i guess I am quite off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online?
@Titus Ariel Flixportal :P
@Esteban Carmelo thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !!
@Titus Ariel No problem =)
Would you say the big island offers more work for a jack of all trades construction worker/painter?

Yeah, you would like Hilo or Puna area for that kind of vibe.
@@IslandHopperTV Thanks! I'm vegan too and we're just visiting, so we're collecting information.
you must have a really good memory to remember all those names
I would like to know which island would be best to visit for a family with a young child (2 yrs old).
sonia perez I would say Maui.
As good as or better than the general overviews provided in the major commercial guidebooks. Take notes!
Can you talk about that privately owned island we’re not allowed to visit?
Divine Feminine InnerG that’s next Kauai is called Niihau and it’s owned by the Robinson family. The island was originally purchased for $10,000 from the king.
Hi are you still in Hawaii

my son is a very picky eater do you know if i am aloud to bring like packaged food on plane? cuz i think that is the only way he will eat?
Force the brat to eat like a real person, don't let him grow up to be a picky person trust
Just hit up Walmart and buy groceries. Save your money for special dinners out or when it’s not practical to pack a lunch.
Kauai or Maui ?????where should I Go!!????Sgt.Peppers or Revolver..Help me Please!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂Like your blog..keep up the good work!!!
futbolero10 go to O’ahu for city and nature mixed together. If you want full nature go to the north side of O’ahu.

How much do i need to stay one week????

We stayed at an Air B’b in Kauai. It wasn’t exactly on the beach but it was good enough for us. $1400 a week.
I'm confused. What is the best place for a newbie?
Jacqueline Maldonado Maui or Oahu would be my recommendation.

marc atkinson Yes I agree, but I really like Lanikai beach Oahu the best for swimming.
I want to move back to big island 🌴
