Heck yes. Kihei Cafe on Maui has some of the best breakfast/brunch options in the state. It's a great mix of traditional breakfast offerings with options to add some Hawaiian flavoring. We're also big fans of the island's food trucks. As much as we love a nice sit-down restaurant, sometimes you just want a good sandwich with some fries and a coke. The food trucks on Maui offer terrific quality at a fraction of restaurant prices.
100% agree with this. Wife, son and I went to one fancy chain restaurant, bill came to like $200 canadian. Food wasnt bad but wasnt anything to write home about. Food trucks, kono’s, dukes, teds and so many more little restaurants and so many more have much better food for alot less.
My brother lived on Maui before we visited for the first time, here were his best tips: 1. Slow down, leave every stress you have from the Mainland behind, Hawaii can change you 2. Aloha and Mahalo go a long way when paired with a "shaka" 3. Find the small mom and pop spots to eat, shop etc...local business, supports local families 4. Take your time, the speed limit is low for a reason, so many amazing things you will miss if you are in a rush Thanks again for another great video!!
None of that is real nobody has to do any of that. What are you even talking about? You do not want to show up here and start saying Aloha mahalo and throwing shakas it’s weird. Mom and pop spots are pretty lame and will rip you off. There is nothing to see here but rats cockroaches and fat people on disability so there’s no reason to drive slow.
Going next March and plan on using the bus system and renting bikes. Neither me or my daughter drive. It'll be interesting but kinda cool! Ride the busses and get a tour of the island for 4 bucks! Great way to save money!😊
Here is a BIG tip. Watch all of The Hawaii Vacation Guide videos before you go! These videos are so informative. Take notes on your phone or download the guides because you may not have internet service when you want to look something up, depending on where you are on the islands. Thanks Erica and Jordan for all the helpful videos and info on your website!
Thanks so munch! Be connected is priority Number one. What options can we consider? I am Planning to travel from New York to Honolulu on December 31st . Thanks so much 😊
You guys made planning my Honeymoon (May 2021) to Maui so easy! The wife and I had a lovely time. My biggest tip is to leave some extra time in your schedule because you will find something you want to do that you didnt plan for. We thought that upcountry was only going to be a quick drive through, turns out the wife and I love the breeze/temps/aromas so much that we planned an entire afternoon up there just lounging around. One of my best decisions was to keep a light schedule and take our time soaking it all in.
Just to add to learning something about the culture, I think it is really rewarding to consider that the ground you walk on, the trail to a waterfall, the ridge line, the view… everything holds almost a sacred mystique. Please pause and consider the presence of those who were there before you. The land mass is relatively small, so all of those tourist areas of today hold cultural significance, even if there is no sign referencing it.
Hawaii is literally paradise on earth. My wife and I have been visiting Maui the last few years, and are planning on visiting my cousin who is currently living in Kauai this season. Going to Maui was the only time I really didn't want my vacation to end, and highly considered just staying there forever. I fell in love with the island, and found my Aloha on my last night on our first visit there. I can't wait to return again. Mahalo 🤙🏽
We went to Oahu back in August of 2021 and it was amazing! I made sure to only book one or two experiences per day so we’d have time to enjoy everything without being rushed. Also our first stop was the swap meet at the stadium on Saturday. That is one of the best places to go for all your souvenirs in my opinion. We even went back to the swap meet the following Wednesday to get more stuff. They also have fresh fruit and food trucks available
Is that at the "Aloha bowl" stadium?? If so, any helpful tips on website info, how to get to/from it, when to visit/avoid visiting the stadium?? We're 1st time visiting Oahu over the 2022 holiday week and my husband's specifically requested a visit to this stadium! But I'M at a loss on how to make it happen! This could be a good option, if I can figure it out! Any information is welcomed! TIA!
We travel to Hawaii a lot from California and we have a 4 year old. The thing I always recommend to people is: consider getting a condo instead of a luxury resort, especially if you are traveling with family. You can get a condo with multiple bedrooms (a must--our daughter needs her own room), a full kitchen, laundry in unit or on site, free parking, free wifi, and no resort fees. The kitchen is another must for us, so we don't always have to wonder where to go to eat. It's nice to just have a bagel, fruit, and coffee for breakfast on the patio facing the ocean, and most condo resorts have BBQ grills by the pools or beach. We always hit up Costco when we land on the islands to stock up on food and drinks for our stay. Having a kitchen to make at least half of our meals during our stays saves us money that we can spend on excursions and activities.
You guys are the best! We went to Maui this last spring because of you guys for a baby moon! Now this next April we are headed to the big island with the baby! Thank you guys for all the info you provide!
One of my favorite parts of visiting Oahu last summer was taking the bus everywhere. It’s super cool carrying conversations with locals and actually getting in touch with the Aloha atmosphere. Relationships between regular bus passengers and their driver is hilarious to watch and listen, too.
I've been watching off/on since 2017 when looking at honeymoon ideas, but I think I'm finally gonna go to Hawaii (Oahu) with my family and you're helping me plan so much!
We were in Maui for 9 days in the beginning of March. We used your guidance on staying in Maui only for our first trip with kids, and we loved it ♥️ We took our time with everything and enjoyed very much. Like you said it’s not the end of journey, it’s about the journey and we are looking forward to our next visit to Maui to explore even more. We were lucky to experience whales playing with our boat and spraying water on us. It was like a dream! Thank you for all your suggestions; they helped us tremendously:)
There are few guarantees in life, but one of them is this: if you want to see humpback whales, go to the leeward side of Maui between January and mid-March. Seemingly every humpback in the Pacific travels through that channel between Maui and Moloka'i/Lanai during this time. Tours during this season often guarantee sightings, or you can even just plant yourself on a west-facing beach and start counting the spouts and occasional breaches that you'll see from the land. (This part is less of a guarantee, but there's even a good chance of seeing mothers and calves during that time of year and in that location.)
Helpful idea when packing for Hawaii: bring more bags. You’re going to leave with your weight in souvenirs, twice if you’re Asian because your relatives and aunts who actually aren’t related to you gave you vacation allowance. Think of Russian nesting dolls: pack the essentials into a small bag, then pack that into a larger carry-on-and then a larger one if it’ll fit. Yes, you have to pay for extra bags at the airport on the way home, but it beats the shipping rate and the wait.
Happy Holidays! Love your videos. Very informative and brings me back to the places I have visited and miss! Hoping to get back in 2023, Have a great 2022.
@@akuikawaI will definitely be going home after, but I get what you’re saying. Just visiting to chill and get a break from the freezing weather in Northern Montana

Since 2015 I’ve been to the islands every 6 months September and March/April I usually stay in Waikiki and Island-Hop to one island every visit (not yet to Lanai or Molokai) Stayed in Maui once for a week but rest of my vacations were in Waikiki. Book your car/hotel early for the hop-island and avoid the weekends stay. Stay in Hilo for the fastest Volcanoes trip-I did it once in a single day 5am in 9pm out back to Waikiki… First few visits were staying at beach hotels: Hilton Hawaiian Village, Outrigger Reef then I realized that by staying a block in (on Kuhio) saves you a whole lot of $$$ you can spend on different activities and places…I would only rent a car for a day or two at the most while in Waikiki just to go to the North Shore (Turtle Bay, Sunset Beach, Haleiwa, Banzai etc) or windward side of the Island (Lanikai, Hanauma Bay) or Electric beach on west side (lots of fish, dolphins and turtles to see here). Book a round trip shuttle From-To airport for about $45/person Pack very very light-used to have a check in and a carry on, now I only bring a carry on and a back pack…as I hardly wore most of the clothes and never put on my jeans or pants per se- Ross store in Waikiki is your best friend for some swim trunks and shirts if you need extras! Leonard’s Malasadas is a must try-at least once-go in very very early like 5-5:30am on Kapahulu Ave or if you head on towards Hanauma Bay they have a mobile truck by the Walgreens on the 72 highway Visit the local’s hot spots for freshest Poké and seafood or the Foodland market has great on the go before beach time poke or ahi or tako or smoked ahi etc. can’t type anymore on my cell haha lots more to have though
I've been to maui before. Goin again this June. I stay at maui banyan or maui lea.. You can hang out at 5 star resorts like grand Wailea to use public beaches, their pool, their restaurants without paying 1500/night.. Then go back to your 3 star or airbnb.. You will save alot!!
With many people coming from mainland USA, I’d say if you’re up early, go out early, beat the traffic/ crowds. Sandy beach on Oahu is a great spot for sunrises, we were up at 5am well worth it
Great video, My wife and I are planning our first trip to Hawaii for Oct 2024. I will check out your website. The biggest reason why we are going is for Pearl Harbor, and for my 50th Bday.
Congrats on the 50th birthday! We have an article on Pearl Harbor tours but Erica is coming out with a DIY guide for Pearl Harbor. Enjoy the trip and I'm glad you are starting to plan now.
I visited Maui 10 years ago in March. It rained but was sunny and lots of rainbows! I talked to a local one night on a walk, and he said in 14 years, he had never seen the mountains so green that time of year. I said, well I'm from Portland and it rains a lot, so you're welcome! I'm planning a trip next March with my daughter! I can't wait! My happy place! I get to play tour guide!😊

We just got back from Maui, to the cold and snow in Toronto a week and a half ago. I'm not a happy camper. Experienced the Kona, wow that was something! Luckily we were in Kapalua, so not as much damage. This was our third trip and definitely not our last. Tips use, the local rental car companies. Not pretty, but they work, have AC and if you get in with your sand and wet bathing suit, it doesn't matter. Plus, your car doesn't look like a tourist car. Kimos is the one we always use. If you are coming from the east coast, you need two weeks minimum. Do not miss upcountry in Maui, beauty like I have never seen before, and cool towns. Local restaurants are the best! I agree, you need to book ahead. We booked our restaurant reservations and day trips a month ahead. Make sure you don't do back-to-back excursions. Leave a day in between just to chill. The ABC stores have cheaper, tasty food. Great for taking to the beach. We did Oahu as a day trip last time. I agree it's a good way to see Pearl Harbour and Honolulu. Whale watching is so worth it. I was in awe. We could see them breaching from DT Flemming beach, which is by Kapalua. If you want quieter and save some money, rent a condo. We prefer it. If you are Canadian, make sure you book your covid test before you arrive or soon after. I found it difficult to find a clinic to do it within the 72 hours before we left. It's an island, so not as many choices as the mainland.
you two are absolutely awesome. I watched so many of your videos planning a honeymoon for my wife and I can't stop now🤣 I still watch the vids! We're coming back this summer and bringing our daughter! Your content is awesome just want to say thanks! I'm in some Hawaii travel groups on FB and I Always point ppl to this page when they have questions. Lastly, I agree! Maui is the best island 🏝
Mahalo Ryan! Thanks for continuing to watch and for sharing with the FB group. Glad to hear your daughter is making the trip over this time. We have a lot more coming out this year. Maui No Ka Oi
When I was contemplating a vacation there back in the early 2010's I discovered a local travel agency right there in Honolulu and booked my trip through with them, for May of 2014 and had a Wonderful time!!
Been to Maui 4 times and big island once since 2016. We Always stay on NW Side of maui lots to do. When you first arrive get groceries and take to the condo. Helps on costs.
I just went to Maui and I watched your videos and they are soo helpful! Loved Maui so much. I don't know if y'all have a road to Hana videos but if not y'all should make one!
Check to see what festivals/events are happening during your stay. Highlight of my trip ( before covid) was floating a lantern at the Lantern Ceremony on Memorial day. Awesome event.
If your schedule is flexible enough, like a beach day or shopping day, and Haleakala is completely clear, switch up your day take advantage of it being clear and head up. Sometimes, on the day you planned to go up to the volcano, weather will move in and you can’t see anything. If you look up and can see the peak and no clouds head up. Haleakala is amazing especially when you can see it fully. 🤙🏼 Shaun M.

Hi There! I just go back from Maui.. I went from the 11th thru the 19th (DEC) PERFECT Weather Everyday, 80 and Sunny..better weather than in May and September when I have been before! I did Sea Maui, Based on your Recommendation and they were MARVELOUS.. Cassie, Lilly and Justin were my Crew! AMAZING Hospitality and I saw a Whale, Dolphins and Swam with a Sea turtle! DON'T Do Too much in 1 Day But Also, you Gotta Recommend Maui Wine and Hawaii Sea & Spirits Farm in Hula!!! Those were 2 of my Most FAVE Experiences!!! ALOHA, Friends!!
You should do a video on what/how you need to bring/do for all the coivd requirements. Looking super complicated and daunting after buying tickers thinking we only needed a negative test to go, now it looks actually super restricted on the island...
We have a playlist on covid travel info. Check out our recent video and the resources we discuss in it to help you complete the travel requirements: ua-cam.com/video/J5mL2Y3iBLg/v-deo.html
If you are going to O'ahu, don't just spend all of your time in Waikiki! Get out and explore the rest of the island. My favourite memories from my first trip to Hawaii are the days we spent outside of Waikiki.
Aloha! You pretty much nailed it….again. The best thing you can do is research each island and plan your trip accordingly. I used other UA-cam channels like On Hawaii Time for Kauai and 365 Hawaii for The Big Island. When on the island I like to use the Shaka Guide when driving around the islands. It’s like having a tour guide with you. Thanks for another great video and hope to see the new addition to the family soon, mahalo!
Mahalo for sharing the tips! Shaka Guide does a good job at staying up to date and doing respectful travel around the islands. A local tour guide is great too! The baby will be out and about soon! She enjoys the beach but needs a lot of shade.
Thank you so much for your information, I've watched several of your videos, this will be our first trip I heard you mention a good car rental place on Oahu but I can't find it now, help 😊
Thanks for asking, we have 5 Road to Hana videos. Start with this and see the description for links to the others: ua-cam.com/video/JWXwh0CZLDo/v-deo.html
In Maui it's easy to drive to places and how to rental car in there what your recommendation for rental car included in ticket trip or rent a car when present there? Thank you
Book a rental car before you arrive! Book it when you book your plane ticket. See our website for discount car rental. thehawaiivacationguide.com/rental-car/
We have an article on that! thehawaiivacationguide.com/how-many-days-should-you-spend-on-the-big-island/ If you are not going to Hawai'i, you can search our site "days on" to find how many days on the other islands.
Don't be shy asking locals where to go eat or what activities you can do. They are more than happy to talk story with you. If you see them playing ukulele stop and enjoy yourselves. You never know you can meet your lifelong ohana.
I made the mistake of trying to do too much in a 3 days 4 nights stay. It was only in oahu but me and my girlfriend booked something to do everyday we were there and it was exhausting!! Going again in 1 month to maui for 6 nights and and this time i intend to try to not do something everyday, i plan to have some days of relaxation and taking it easy in the resort and beaches (and shop around the area where the resort is)
For private tours, we always recommend Hawaii Tours. Use this link to explore their private tours for each island. We have some listed on our website too. www.hawaiitours.com/?ref=jfromh00 Using that link to book helps us out as we earn a small commission. Mahalo!
How is Hawaii for a solo trip!? Was originally suppose to go with someone but that fell through, still really wanting to go but wasn’t for sure how the trip would be going solo or if that’s something people do! Thank you for such great content!!!
This may be a dumb question but what do you do with your stuff (Wallet, phone, and car keys) while you’re at the beach and in the ocean snorkelling and swimming? I just don’t want my stuff to get stolen!
we get asked that a lot. You can get a lockbox for your car key, dry bag for valuables, or have your neighbor watch your stuff. Theft isn't as bad as the articles say it is but can happen at the popular beaches.
Oahu has the most options with Biki bikes, Hui cars for sharing, scooter rentals, uber, lyft, etc. we have a video out saturday on transport. the other islands have uber/lyft also.
make them as soon as possible. Most places have lenient cancellation policies. Book that car, hotel, restaurant, and tour when you decide you are going. Our itineraries include a calendar on when to book specific recommendations.
My biggest tip, eat local, mom and pop shops, try new food and try to stay away from chain restaurants. Remember food is a big part of your vacation!

Leonard’s Malasadas is a must try-at least once-go in very very early like 5-5:30am on Kapahulu Ave or if you head on towards Hanauma Bay they have a mobile truck by the Walgreens on the 72 highway
Visit the local’s hot spots for freshest Poké and seafood or the Foodland market has great on the go before beach time poke or ahi or tako or smoked ahi etc.
can’t type anymore on my cell haha lots more to have though
I've been to maui before. Goin again this June. I stay at maui banyan or maui lea.. You can hang out at 5 star resorts like grand Wailea to use public beaches, their pool, their restaurants without paying 1500/night.. Then go back to your 3 star or airbnb.. You will save alot!!
That is a great tip on hotels!
going to kauai to visit a friend in the summer i can’t wait 🥲
Have a great trip!
if u come to Oahu, you have to see Polynesia culture center. it will open your eyes for every islands culture and history
This is great! Bucket list items are so important!
Hi Ive been watching your vlogs in Hawaii. May I know where can I buy sim card to use for data if Im from a different country ? Thank you
I’m going to Big Island in February. But It’s going to be my second time there. I can’t wait!!!
Have a great trip! A lot to do on the Big Island so it deserves a second trip.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank you 😊
With many people coming from mainland USA, I’d say if you’re up early, go out early, beat the traffic/ crowds. Sandy beach on Oahu is a great spot for sunrises, we were up at 5am well worth it
Thanks for sharing! Using jet lag to your advantage is a great tip.
My wife and I are going to Oahu in May. This will be our first time to the islands. We are beyond excited!
Have a wonderful trip!!
My tip: Stay longer than you originally plan. We never want to leave and always say we will book more days next year!
Hello 👋 Great video!! What island has the most (and/or best) waterfalls???
Good question. It’s more about accessibility. Big Island has a lot of amazing ones near Hilo and Maui has a lot on the Road to Hana.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank you so much for response! Wife & I are really looking forward to our first trip to Hawaii next year! 🙂
Enjoy your first trip!
tip for the big island. must do activities: volcanoes national park, night manta snorkel, hike waipio valley!
Good one with waipio valley! Thanks for sharing!!
Super excited to have found your videos. Just planning our first trip now and super excited!
Enjoy, we have a lot of them on all the islands. Have a great trip!
Thank you for this video my wife and I are going to oahu for the first in less than a month and appreciate the tips and comments. Mahalo!
I'm glad you are checking out the great tips in the comments! Thanks for watching and have a great trip.
I love Hawaii, I may have island fever. Pushed myself to learn to swim just because I love Hawaii so much.
Good for you! Be safe out there and hope you can make it soon
You are the Absolute Best !! Thank You !! ♥️👍😃Need Your Help . We are going this year .. Iam learning a lot ….👍♥️
glad to help! enjoy your trip planning and check out our website for more info: thehawaiivacationguide.com/
Nice job today guy’s, great way of explaining the island’s to your followers 👍🇨🇦😎❤️
mahalo Chris! Happy holidays!
My first time. March 8 the I can't wait. Maui here I come.

Your Video was great.
i really appreciate this video. thank you.
my son came out of the blue today and said he would rather go to Hawaii, instead of Disney world. 🤔. got us searching and this was absolutely perfect. thanks again!
I hope the Hawaii trip planning is going well. See our Start Here playlist if you haven't found it already. Also, our website has our best stuff. Thanks for subscribing too!
Mahalo for sharing all those tips! Try to stay warm in Toronto or book that trip to come back!
I love how most people watching this are getting ready to go to Hawaii for vacation, and I’m just dreaming to go one day 😂
Omgoodness, go to all of the islands
you guys are so lucky to be able to travel all around Hawaii I am wishing to go one day :)
hope you can make it out soon!
you two are absolutely awesome. I watched so many of your videos planning a honeymoon for my wife and I can't stop now🤣 I still watch the vids! We're coming back this summer and bringing our daughter! Your content is awesome
just want to say thanks! I'm in some Hawaii
travel groups on FB and I Always point ppl to this page when they have questions. Lastly, I agree! Maui is the best island 🏝
Mahalo Ryan! Thanks for continuing to watch and for sharing with the FB group. Glad to hear your daughter is making the trip over this time. We have a lot more coming out this year. Maui No Ka Oi
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide 🤙🏻
When I was contemplating a vacation there back in the early 2010's I discovered a local travel agency right there in Honolulu and booked my trip through with them, for May of 2014 and had a Wonderful time!!
It's great to support local companies!
Recommendations of things to do with senior citizens? My MIL cant do adventurous things, so something relaxing or mellow.
December - February/March is the rainy season.
My tip is to look at the free coupon books.
Counting down three months to third trip to big island, love your vids 🤙🇨🇦
Have a great trip! It will be here so fast!
Been to Maui 4 times and big island once since 2016. We Always stay on NW Side of maui lots to do. When you first arrive get groceries and take to the condo. Helps on costs.
Thanks for sharing the tip! We love NW Maui.
I just went to Maui and I watched your videos and they are soo helpful! Loved Maui so much. I don't know if y'all have a road to Hana videos but if not y'all should make one!
Thanks for the comment! We love the feedback. We have four or five Road to Hana videos. They are fun to make and share.
Check to see what festivals/events are happening during your stay. Highlight of my trip ( before covid) was floating a lantern at the Lantern Ceremony on Memorial day. Awesome event.
That's a great tip. Sometimes one just gets lucky with an interesting festival.
🤙🏼 Shaun M.
thanks for sharing the tip! That is a good point on spotting good weather and taking advantage.
Thanks for the video!
Have a great trip to Hawaii! Thanks for watching!
planning a trip for this September for around 5 days, love the video but it be nice to get some tips for a first time goer. I’m leaning for maui

Thanks for watching from Northern Ontario Enjoy the trip research and picking where to go! it feels good to get out again after COVID.
Great video as usual! Mahalo.
May have to fix mic because sound was low for the lady.
thanks for watching! We will turn up the volume for Erica
Love your channel!
Love your channel! We will go to Big Island on January 1st, from Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks so much! Have a great trip to the Island of Hawaii! We're planning on going back soon.
Mahalo for sharing the tips! So glad you had a great time with our recommendations!
Howzit 🤙 Aloha from the Big Island
Going next month! Can’t wait
have a wonderful trip! enjoy our videos for things to do!
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I did! Thank you so much!!
Amazing 👍
Thanks 😄
If you are going to O'ahu, don't just spend all of your time in Waikiki! Get out and explore the rest of the island. My favourite memories from my first trip to Hawaii are the days we spent outside of Waikiki.
no let all the tourist stay in Waikiki
Thank you so much for your information, I've watched several of your videos, this will be our first trip I heard you mention a good car rental place on Oahu but I can't find it now, help 😊
we just added local car rental companies to our website: thehawaiivacationguide.com/rental-car/
Can You Make a Video on the dog beaches of OAHU when you go back please???? Thank You 🙏
My trip cannot get here fast enough. I've had all the major items booked for months now the waiting is killing me. Can't wait for some Maui sun.
It will be here in no time, best of luck on the wait!
Where is the best place to purpose in Hawaii something secluded but beautiful preferably a white sand beach? Any advice would mean a lot to me
Kapalua Bay at sunset on Maui. Hulopoe Beach on Lanai if you want to stay at the Four Seasons.
Traveling to Maui in 2 weeks! Any recommendations for the road to Hana? Ant tips would be greatly appreciated! :)
Thanks for asking, we have 5 Road to Hana videos. Start with this and see the description for links to the others: ua-cam.com/video/JWXwh0CZLDo/v-deo.html
Pack a lunch, snacks and water. Start early, stop along the way to explore waterfalls, stop at the 7 scared pools.
is it good time to come around august
In Maui it's easy to drive to places and how to rental car in there what your recommendation for rental car included in ticket trip or rent a car when present there? Thank you
Book a rental car before you arrive! Book it when you book your plane ticket. See our website for discount car rental. thehawaiivacationguide.com/rental-car/
Great video! We are a family of 4 traveling to Hawaii for the first time in June. How many days would you recommend we stay?
We have an article on that! thehawaiivacationguide.com/how-many-days-should-you-spend-on-the-big-island/
If you are not going to Hawai'i, you can search our site "days on" to find how many days on the other islands.
Don't be shy asking locals where to go eat or what activities you can do. They are more than happy to talk story with you. If you see them playing ukulele stop and enjoy yourselves. You never know you can meet your lifelong ohana.
Thanks for sharing the tip! That is a great one.
Ultimate didn’t have a code to enter for that special referral. Just FYI. Just booked a whale watching tour! Thank you!
It worked for me this morning! Enter HVG in the promo code box. Enjoy your tour!
book everything early...try to eliminate driving time as much as possible, before you know it half your day feels gone
I made the mistake of trying to do too much in a 3 days 4 nights stay. It was only in oahu but me and my girlfriend booked something to do everyday we were there and it was exhausting!! Going again in 1 month to maui for 6 nights and and this time i intend to try to not do something everyday, i plan to have some days of relaxation and taking it easy in the resort and beaches (and shop around the area where the resort is)
Good idea! Our excursion days in our itinerary are fun and full but we do recommend taking resort or chill days too. Have a great Maui vacation!!
I will go to Hawaii for the first time with a big family. any private tour could you recommend??
For private tours, we always recommend Hawaii Tours. Use this link to explore their private tours for each island. We have some listed on our website too.
www.hawaiitours.com/?ref=jfromh00
Using that link to book helps us out as we earn a small commission. Mahalo!
How is Hawaii for a solo trip!? Was originally suppose to go with someone but that fell through, still really wanting to go but wasn’t for sure how the trip would be going solo or if that’s something people do! Thank you for such great content!!!
It would be wonderful you would get to do all YOU want and relax meet locals. We love visiting We have been to both Maui and Oahu.
Lots of people enjoy a solo trip out here, check out our article on traveling solo: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-hawaiian-island-for-singles/
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide great article! Thank you!
If I want to be using mostly public transportation. Is there rent a bikes ,scooters, taxis?
Oahu has the most options with Biki bikes, Hui cars for sharing, scooter rentals, uber, lyft, etc. we have a video out saturday on transport. the other islands have uber/lyft also.
So worried about current numbers. that our mid-February trip won't be able to happen. This is my 3rd attempt to visit Hawaii.
We are keeping an eye on the numbers and the action by Hawai'i. The numbers are surging on the islands again...
Hawaii 2022
Hello, have you guys booked with the car rental you suggested. Do they have any hidden additional fees that may not be advertised online?
We’ve used Discount Hawaii Car Rental over a dozen times. In our experience, never had an issue and paid the quoted price.
also, treat the Hawaiian people with respect. you are a guest.
It’s America chill bud
When you say “book early” , how early should I book or make a reservation?
make them as soon as possible. Most places have lenient cancellation policies. Book that car, hotel, restaurant, and tour when you decide you are going. Our itineraries include a calendar on when to book specific recommendations.
things to do for a family of 4 with kids. any kid friendly activities
What island? For Oahu we have a few kid things to do videos including 21 thinks to do with kids on Oahu. See our Oahu playlist.
