- Cokeville, Wyoming-based Cody Davis, owner of three-truck Davis Trucking LLC, hauls livestock across the U.S. with this 2022 Kenworth W900L and accompanying 2023 Merritt livestock trailer. Davis showed the combo at the 2023 Shell Rotella SuperRigs working truck show in Gillette, Wyoming, where it won in three categories - the Tractor-Trailer Division, Best Chrome, and Best Lights. Davis’ rig also won the People’s Choice Award after a public voting period.
Davis later in the year would go on to win in two categories of Overdrive's 2023 Pride & Polish competition: overdriveonline.com/15660784

I grew up as a "planes, trains, automobile (trucks)" type kid and built a ton of 1/25 scale plastic model kit trucks in the 1970s. I've recently started getting Overdrive daily emails and have looked at a lot of trucking UA-cam videos, but truly a "layman" when it comes to the real world trucking challenges and life of Truckers. Just curious and I'd find it interesting to know what kind of $$$ are put into these beautiful custom "working" rigs and other than the drivers pride and enjoyment (which that part I understand for sure!!), can you make a decent financial return on the investment? Honestly, some of these units (like this one) seem too pretty to drive, but I love learning about and listening to the Drivers' stories about their rigs!! Thanks for posting this video and run safe! Man thousands to half a million goes into these rigs, You have to love them to do it. Riding clean is the only way to go its like getting out the shower "SO FRESH & SO CLEAN" start with the inside, wipe it down every other day add dezels trust me itll come together. Then the outside 4-12K should get you a basic new paint job depending who you know maybe a bit extra. Stretch out the frame add hoses,wires,extend shafts, move tanks etc 4k lowball it shows but 8k is decent again depends on who you know. Now the motor doesnt matter what you have it PAY TO PLAY and CHEAP is NEVER GOOD!! from inside out and programing ecm. Miss my Classic XL 12.7 pushing 595 to the ground had them 6inch meter cuts talking 8 10inch subs 6 highs 6 mids for my long runs 127 lights on truck alone😢 miss running up the light bill

I'm jealous, jealous, jealous....bought a new 2018 389 in September 2017 leased on to Heniff Transportation went OTR pulling tank trailer, blew my shoulder out in February 2021, off of work 15 months. Heniff would not allow me to put a driver on it, had to sell, but if I hit a awesome lottery, I'm buying another LARGE CAR...!!!!!

Nice truck but the windshield viewing area is too restricted. Especially for taller guys like me.
I guess you wouldn't know unless you drove it. I'm 6 foot 1 with similar visor on my truck and no problems. Wouldn't change it.
