Great drill and I loved how you showed the off arm as an anchor and how it affects your throw. I never thought about how it helps lock your hit point in on 10 O’clock
Thanks for your work. The one leg drill instantly added 30' to my drives without feeling like I was tearing my shoulder and elbow out. I'm 63 and throw farther than guys younger than me and now I'm more accurate.
the rebel bag is sick i love mine! Have to be slightly careful compared to other bags to not have the discs spill out since the open design, but couldn't wish for a better looking and functioning bag!
Yes! I limited new members right now as I am going on vacation in a few days. I will be adding slots again in about two weeks! Thanks for your interest!
Wow.... Super good explanation. Like really really good explanation. This is where I'm at in my form journey. Struggling hard on getting the brace, but i'll try working with that rotation of the hips with the hula hoop. I don't know why my body doesn't want to get this shit. 3 years of playing all the time and doing it completely wrong doesn't help.
I've coached alot of weird movement stuff... and the disc golf backhand is the most complicated movement I've come across, no question. It can be very hard to learn...
I have been working on this and for some reason I can not get to anchor to work with the off arm, my weight still spins me around a bit and I loose my balance.
Most likely you are not staying centered as you reach back. If you over rotate backwards you will always need to over rotate forwards on the follow through. Are you on the disc golf form check facebook page? Post a clip and tag me.
I know what to do ...Well i think i do this video was a little bit of an eye opener , but I try not to get too excited because its all a matter of getting my body to do it. Reversing muscle memory is a complete and utter nightmare. 3 years of me and my buddies playing and them always wanting to play super competitive rounds with each other for fun just screwed me up royally. Tried telling them all the time I wanna practice , I wanna do field work I wanna get form correct and they'd act like I was the idiot. Meanwhile none of us can throw over 400. Then I would tell them well I'll play with yall but I dont' want on the card I wanna work on shit and they'd still secretly put me on the card. lol whatever.
I've been in the same boat with regard to reversing muscle memory. I think in part the body is doing what it can to protect itself - similar to not blowing out your knees in a game of basketball. So the trick is finding cues that put your body in different positions that allow you to build new muscle memory. It's easier than it sounds, as I am still in that boat! 🤣
You keep your hips on a hyzer tilt, but put your arm slot higher so the release is still flat. But tactically you should commit to something like 5-10 degrees of hyzer or anhyzer... if you your angle throwing flat you get a totally different shot shape. Not good... There is a video on here called something like throwing flat from a hyzer tilt that goes into more detail.

Nice work!
Loved this one. There's a reason there is a version of this in my tutorial!

Yea the design is a bit weird with how low the front of the main compartment is... I get why they did it, ease of access, but maybe its a bit too low?
I was going to sign up for your coaching on Patreon but I see it is sold out. Are you going to open up any more slots?

How do you get containment when throwing a flat shot?
