Nicely done as always Bradley and welcome to the 4 tap Kegerator club. This is a rebrand of the Kegland series X for morebeer. Great Kegerator that I have been enjoying since last year.
My 20+ year old 4 tap keezer is limping along and I've squeezed about all I can out of it. Morebeer sent out an email yesterday about the komos being back in stock and your video I believe may just push me over the edge enough to pull the trigger. Love the evabarrier and Duo tight and I think I'm sold on the new Nuka faucets as well. Great video!
Excellent review and vid. This is by far and away become one of my favorite channels. The efficiency stats at the end were useful as was they way you put it together. Some really good "thinking-mans" tips and workarounds. Respect and thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial! I took some of your advice on the CO2 setup and bought some of the parts you listed. So far so good and the disconnect for the tank is clutch!!!
Thanks so much for posting this video. It was very helpful in setting up my Komos kegerator and saved me a lot of time and cussing if I hadn’t watched it.
Thanks for the vid, Bradley. My garage is insulated, and never gets above the upper 80s. I'm not worried about the low end. Any thoughts on such an ambient temperature (please chime in everybody if you can). I'd rather have the 4-tap regular stainless, instead of the 3-tap-maximum "outdoor". Thanks, all, for any input.
Great tutorial! I ordered all of the recommended parts, only problem is the reducer size is wrong. Having to resend out for 6.5 mm x 8 mm reducer, NOT the 9.5 mm. The shortcut under the video to more beer has the wrong size part for the reducer.
I have had mine for about 4 months and I love it. The quick disconnect in the back is genius. Only strange thing I have seen is sometimes the displayed temp will jump up and down 2 degrees every couple seconds. I have seen it do this 4 or 5 times now. Not sure what's up but I think I'll put a thermometer inside and just make sure all things ate good.
I noticed the same thing with the temps jumping around. Then one day my kids were messing around and hit the button to flip from F to C, and the temp display is way more stable since 2C could really range almost two degrees F. so I've left it on C, just to keep me sane
Just picked up my Komos 4 Tap from local brew store. Looking forward to all the features and more options on tap! Unfortunately I couldn't get my 2 corny kegs to fit with 2 6 gallon torpedo kegs. The rubber on the bottom of mine seem to have a lip on top that makes it bigger then the 8.5 making it just a tad too large to shut door! Guess I will be buying more more slimline torpedo kegs! Thanks for all the info love the idea of CO2 connections!
I wish we were neighbors! :) I'm so happy you found the hole too! What do you think about the taps that come with the system? Do you plan on keeping them or replacing them with higher quality ones?
I had a 3 tap tower and faucets, so I just bought the Komos fridge and built it out. It's really nice, and if my keezer ever dies, I'd get another 4 tap Komos. But there are 2 things I don't like about it. The locking casters are mounted pretty far back from the front of the fridge, so it's pretty difficult to lock them. Second, the tower, at least in my case, is mounted into the plastic top of the fridge.. so turning on a faucet causes the entire tower to move.. it doesn't seem sturdy, but in reality it's fine.
I did notice that the wheels are easiest to lock if you have them facing the side. I didn’t notice the draft tower to be too wobbly personally. You better believe I’m gonna go and play with it shortly lol 🍻
Great video! I am in negotiations with the wife on where this should live in the house. It might very well have to be in the garage. I really wanted it in the dining room! There is a check valve in the comments but I can't see where you put it. Sounds like a good idea to protect the regulator. To make it usable for all situations, I would guess for it to be in line from the regulator to the ball lock. What are your thoughts?
It's identical to the kegland kegerator, apart from the logo & the CO2 regulator - they must have used the same manufacturer. I've got the 3 tap tower, that was super fiddly to connect up! Works great now though, would definitely recommend.
@@PortlyGentleman about 8 months, it's doing a pretty good job so far! Only issue I had with it is one of the tap connectors coming off inside the tower, (messy...). That'll be entirely my fault though I think, poor assembly! The first unit shipped to me was damaged too unfortunately, looked like the courier dropped something on it.
I was going back and forth on getting a Komos or another brand but your review sold me. I got one! An employee at my local homebrew store said the lines that came with the Komos will cause foaming and such. He recommend to use 1/4 in, 10 ft in length for the beer line; the lines that come with the Komos are too short. Do you recommend sticking with the lines included with the Komos, or getting 1/4 in, 10 ft length PVC beer line to prevent foaming?
I haven’t had any issues with the lines on mine nor have I had issues with forming at all I wouldn’t buy new ones until you’ve tried the old ones there’s no harm in that 🍻
I believe this must be the exact same kegerator as the series x by kegland right. I have a series x and it looks identical. Is this a rebranded version?
@@PortlyGentleman I absolutely love it! very very happy i went with the four tap as opposed to a 2 tap. Wasnt too much more money, and having a system that can grow with me as I brew is so important to me. The Duo tight fittings make everything so simple and easy as well! -Cheers!
Just started mine and the sides of it are wicked hot. Like I can’t touch it for more than a couple of seconds. Seems to improve when the compressor is not running but damn, that can’t be safe. Plenty of space there, BTW. Any thoughts on this?
@@tedbaccich2566 easy as can be. They should just screw on and screw off. There's an adjustment nut to lock them in place so they're tight at the proper angle.
I dont know man, I think that shirt makes you look kinda buff. Great review, I've been eyeballing these. I'm not familiar with these taps, are they compatible with the tapcooler? And I never understood why kegerators have the rail on top... its kind of annoying to be honest.
Can you use this with only 1, 2 or 3 kegs connected or would you leak co2? Considering getting the quad tap to grow into but currently only have 2 kegs. Thanks!
I'm in the processes of ordering and can't seem to find the right duotight fitting from ball lock cap to 8mm hosing. Did your kegerator come with 9.5mm hose as they make a fitting for that? Am I buying all the wrong size fittings?
Just got my first Komos, and this helped greatly. Thanks for the tutorial.
My pleasure thank you 🍻
Don’t forget the tower gasket! Because he did.
Those duo fittings are pretty darn slick and MAN your brewery is looking awesome!
Yes they are and thank you very much Dan yours looks pretty nice to my friend 🍻

Any advice regarding setting up 4 secondary regulators...I like to have several beers (ales/lagers) at slightly different carbonation levels.
Keg Land makes tiny secondary regulators that are easy to set up inside of this unit. Easy to install in mine and thanks Bradley!
I wish we were neighbors! :) I'm so happy you found the hole too!
What do you think about the taps that come with the system? Do you plan on keeping them or replacing them with higher quality ones?
I think the tops work just fine I do believe they now have an option for Nukataps I would prefer them I think.
@@PortlyGentleman isn't this a nukatap? I thought nukas had all the moving parts internally instead of the old style which has the exposed valves.
If you’ve not pulled a beer off the tap for a week or two how’s the first few ounces? Is it warm/oxidized?

Does the fan cut off/on with the compressor or is it always off/on via the fan button on the front display?

Question…. For the duotight carb cap fitting it says the diameter is 9.5 mm. How does that work with the 8 mm gas line?
I don't think it does, I'm in the same boat, ordered from the link in description and it doesn't fit.
