Even though the sequels were never up to snuff with the original, Your reviews on them are certainly entertaining. I'm glad to have them all together like this. I hope you're having a good break. Merry Late Christmas, you filthy animals.
Fun Fact From Home Alone 3: A rare positive review came from Chicago film critic Roger Ebert, who called it the best of all the Home Alone films, and that it was far better than the first one. It was also the only Home Alone movie he liked, since he gave the first two negative reviews. Gene Siskel nearly fell off his chair in disbelief at this remark. Ebert's review appears on the front cover of the VHS and DVD releases of this movie.
Out of all the Home Alone films, The ones with Kevin will always be the most iconic! Macaulay Culkin's performance as the character is absolutely legendary!!! Also, I know what I said is obvious, But at least it's the truth.
I'm enjoying these combo videos. I'm also enjoying it because it gives you a well-deserved break. Look forward to seeing you at your best once again in the future.
Back in the old days there would be commentary videos in these spots, but he hasn’t done episode commentaries in a very long time now, really since they proved to be quite the issue on UA-cam. And then within a year they stopped making new DVDs
I know what I’ll be watching this holiday season! Also I love how you can see the evolution of the Nostalgia Critic in these videos. It’s a delight to see.
I had thought Home Alone 3 was the last one until I saw videos about Home Alone 6. I complete;y missed 4 and 5. Thank you for making me aware these exist. I hope you feel good about yourselves. Also, I forgot he didn't cover these in order. I saw 20 minutes left after 6 and started freaking out that there was a 7th I wasn't aware of. Thank God he just waited until the end to cover the first.
To be fair, Alex tells his mom every thing is fine in the third movie because he knows these criminals are dangerous and doesn't want his mom to get hurt.
What? Why does it feel like the end of an era? Doug is taking a break from an extremely long & tedious career of uploading WEEKLY for, what is it now, 16+ years? Let the man & his crew rest easy without being worried about their fans disappearing because they took a damn break.
I always liked the idea of doing a catchup movie with Macaulay Culkin reprising his role as Kevin. Maybe that Kevin eventually became a wealthy home security specialist in later life and now lives in a fortified house that a team of criminals (possibly led by a vengeful Marv) tries to rob only to run up against Kevin’s extremely effective and over-the-top defences.
I love your videos! They cheer me up, calm me down and they are perfect for four in the morning viewing when I should really get some sleep but I can’t help but watch one more!
Home Alone 3 honestly deserves some reevaluation, Critic. Sure, it’s full of stupid stuff and improbabilities but it’s still surprisingly entertaining, & has some of the best traps in the franchise.
What makes Home Alone 4 more confusing is the fact that Kevin is 9 years old in that film. Kevin was 8 in the first one and 10 in the second one. Meaning that the parents divorcing, the dad falling in love with Natalie, and Marv's split with Harry all happened in between the first two films.
The first Home Alone is one of my favorite films of all time, I do like the second one while agreeing with the criticisms against it and the other ones just exist to me.
My Home Alone Ranked Home Alone 1: Amazing Original Movie Home Alone 2 Home Alone 3 Home Sweet Home Alone Home Alone 4: Talking Back The House Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist
For me, Here's my thoughts on the Home Alone films. The first two were a work of art, 10/10. The third is an underrated gem. 7/10. The fourth was bad, but funny. 3/10. The fifth and sixth ones I didn't bother. Share if you agree with me, if you don't, that's alright. I respect other people's opinions on this franchise.🙂😘😊🙂
Gotta be honest. Home Alone 1-2 are the only ones I actually watched. I might've seen HA3 as a kid, but I think I slept through that one and always thought I imagined it. The others I never even heard of, and "Home Sweet Home Alone" I deliberately skipped as the kid character on that one was just an unlikable brat who I didn't care about. I hope Macaulay Culkin (and his beautiful wife, Brenda Song) are looking at these movies with their kids at Christmas and having themselves a good laugh.

Another Fun Fact from Home Alone 2: After one scene, Macaulay Culkin asked Joe Pesci why he never smiled. Pesci told him to shut up. At the time, Pesci said, "He's pampered a lot by a lot of people, but not me, and I think he likes that."
Naturally, he had one bad sequel after bad sequel to get through before reviewing to the only good one, the original. Hollywood certainly gives him a lot to work with.

felt that Christmas crunch rant XD
The first 2 are the Best! Love these compilations! Please leave hearth❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really miss the classic NC. You can tell the quality difference with these videos as the years went on. (not meaning the quality of the video, but the content.)
The first 2 are THE BEST! That's about it.
Cant believe we waited all week just for another complication video
I'll take it, honestly
Compilation.
Complaination
Let's be glad they didn't do an animated Home Alone XD

Pretty please, it is the day 122 waiting for the ,,G-force " movie review by the ,,Nostalgia Critic" himself! Please see this Doug!
We get it, Doug, you are on vacation
By the way, I hope it goes great, have fun bro
I still say that this, Pennywise (IT) and the Prince of Darkness (Criminal Minds) are Tim Curry's best roles in live-action.
Another Fun Fact from Home Alone 2: After one scene, Macaulay Culkin asked Joe Pesci why he never smiled. Pesci told him to shut up. At the time, Pesci said, "He's pampered a lot by a lot of people, but not me, and I think he likes that."
It's nice to see Doug have a longer break than usual and hopefully he's doing something amazing with his time
It's nice to see Doug get this break
Kudos congratulations and complimentations for your carefully crafted compilation. Another great one from channel awesome 😎
I have seen all home alone movies when I was a kid in 2000s
Naturally, he had one bad sequel after bad sequel to get through before reviewing to the only good one, the original. Hollywood certainly gives him a lot to work with.
I'm kind of surprised Home Alone 3 has gotten a cult following the way it has
I wouldn't say Home Alone 2 was bad. The first one was still better but the 2nd one wasn't bad. All the ones after though were horrible.
👍👍Great video
This is an excellent series of reviews.
Yep
I swear, the holidays come earlier every year.
Hardcore NC fans already watched all these every December.
Awesome video nostalgia critic 😊
1:56:37 Keep the change, you filthy Animal!
I'll think about using this clip for future Pizza delivery
