Sorry pal, but that figure is absolute nonsense. You can see the car climb the front roller. It wasn’t tied down correctly, the car shouldn’t move at all. That figure would easily drop 20-30 hp if it’s tied down better. Not hating on your car, or the tune, but whoever ran that, can’t and shouldn’t dyno cars.

They've clearly let that climb out of the rollers to purposely inflate the figures 🙄
DMS tend to throw high figures (run straps light) and stick a random price on each remap. Wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

Is it just me or do the tailpipes seem to be sticking way too far out at the back? Looks a bit odd. Mint car though just an observation

Chris Brown yeah they definitely look too far out at the back, not sure if it’s the diffuser or the exhaust because I don’t think they’ve looked that stuck out in previous videos it’s almost like the diffuser has pushed inwards somehow
Probably some sort of mod he has got that has caused it to happen. Or he might have done it on purpose

Amazing, you dyno'd stock with us back at Christmas, and we explained roller climbing to you then.. (go look at your old video and that was only a climb on 1 tyre not both).
Bring it back for some free runs I doubt you'll hit even more than 450HP

486bhp without an updated HPFP yeah like that’s believable! also they let the car rise up on the rollers so not the best way to get an accurate figure, would be very interesting to see what it makes elsewhere, It’s a dyno lottery!

It does seem a bit high for stage 2. I've had stage 2 on my m140i and it made 440bhp and 490lbft on a warm day

Those are some healthy numbers! It looked to be climbing the rollers, maybe you could dyno it again down the line and see what it makes on others? The new power might stop you banging on about the Golf R finally 😅

Why those figures about what youd expect from a B58. They run close to 400 stock

Close to 400 stock? 😂 These figures are stupidly inflated. This is the sort of power you see after fitting a hpfp and so on.

How does staging affect the engine and the car overall? Is it bad for it?
Hi mate ! Love the videos :) I’ve been stage 1 for a couple of months now and have just ordered a cat less DP, once your cold start dies down does it sound pretty normal? I’m just nervous I’ll end up with drone lol!! But want the performance etc ! Can’t have it both ways I know that but just wanted your thoughts :)

...and everybody else! - ludicrous over the top 'bang tunes' everywhere - kids on and off the throttle endlessly in residential areas...it needs to be toned down and for people to have some respect for others...the world has turned into a nasty selfish place thesis last decade or so - this car wont even be insured when he slides into you as he fishtails out of a corner with TC turned off some day - keep it real - MOT friendly sports CAT, induction kit and Stage 1 is more than enough for this type of car on public roads? Stage 2 if u happen to live in Germany near the Ring :) IMHO

Some ho hum dyno practice - slack tie down straps let wheels climb right up on top of the front roller. Lowers drag of the rear roller and gives 🤔🤔 dyno figures.
What's your opinion on bm3 Vs a custom tune do you think a custom tune is the way to go ?

Did DMS map your gearbox as part of the remap? Just wondering as I forgot to ask when I had mine done there. Cheers
M3 Upper and lower control arms. Rear under body brace. Strut brace, Rear sub frame bushings (full ones not inserts) then coil overs and thats all you should do for handling to match the engine now before you do more power mods. Looks great! Mods are where these things come alive....so much better than the golf when modded. Also, do xHP transmission mod so you actually get full power in the lower gears.
Diff too if he hasn’t already done it. But your talking 10 grand for everything listed above. Not sure it’s worth dumping that kind of money into a m140i

I know this is an old video, but I wanted to share something.
There are dozens of comments about DMS tuning, and how they inflate figures, which is very easy to do.
So, I had a 200 cell Wagner cat fitted, ITG air filter, and another remap, at a reliable tuner's with a conservative dyno, on a warm day.
Mine made 455bhp/634nm which to be honest was a little more than I had hoped for.
The figure that DMS gave you in this video is fantasy, and I hope everyone realises that.

I know a few people who have been to DMS and complained that their cars mainly put the power down top end but bottom end the tune is not the best, what do you think of it?

Would be good to know what exact downpipe you're running. I see lots of people saying they've gone with catless ones which I find confusing.. I really don't understand how they pass emissions tests during those random roadside tests and MOT's. I intend to go with a sports cat and a stage 2 unless I can figure out what's going on with the emissions stuff.
They don’t pass MOT - that’s why you’ll either need a friendly tester or put it back in when required. Roadside test would bring a lot of problems though... not to mention insurance isn’t valid with a decat as the car isn’t classed as road legal anymore
@@Scuderia2000HD Thanks for clarifying. There must be a lot of those 'friendly' testers about. I reckon going with a cat is better either way due to the stench of unburnt petrol that I've experienced with catless track cars.

I've just had my m240 i done by ecotune Scotland a very well known tuner it reached 430bhp stage 2 and 468ft lbs from a standard 342bhp and 370ft lbs. The car drives absolutely stunningly with more than enough power for the road. Alot of people get caught up in big figure quotes there are so many variables such as temperature, dyno, fuel, how the car is strapped etc ... you might see as much as 50 bhp difference from 1 dyno to another. I had a blast with a stage 2 rs3 done by MRC with around 500 bhp and was up his arse the hole way and there was nothing in it. But anyway your car is mega just enjoy it mate 👍
Did you get the gearbox done at the same time? I've had a stage 1 on my 340i making around 410bhp and 580nm and I can tell the engine wants to make more torque but the gearbox won't allow it lol
No gearbox software it seems to be perfect as is I've heard people having issues with gearbox software being to grabby and harsh when driving "normal "
@@kevinlambo4310 that's interesting then as my gearbox definitely won't allow that level of torque. I know the ratios are different in the 340i they are generally longer gears. Another thing I noticed was yesterday outside was reading 34c and the car didn't like it at all after some spirited driving on the sports gauges torque went to around 500nm and power hovered around 360bhp and you could tell as it felt a lot slower. Doesn't like hot temp it seems
@@johnjackson12 I never knew about it being a slightly different ratio however they do suffer from the heat I went for a run and after 10 minutes of quickish driving you can definitely tell the power isn't all there especially at the top of the rpm range, might invest in new charge cooler from wagner this will help with intake temps and keeping things nice and cool
@@kevinlambo4310 I've never known a car suffer so much from heat soak tho, I mean it was abnormal yesterday. Today tho completely different story, 1st pull using 5th gear torque hit 580nm like it always does but power was only one segment off maxing power gauge which is an indicated 450bhp! It felt savage and hit 145mph in no time all in 5th gear

Good thing with these 3 litre engines is you don't have to rag its arse when your pressing on. Cars with DSG like the Golf R and cupra when your pressing on in sport mode auto it will only change gear when its near the red line.

Not with the gpf delete but with the downpipe yes.
Why do DMS always do this I don’t get it. As others have said mate, those numbers are impossible on a B58 with a decat and map. You would need a HPFP. You can also see in your video the car is climbing on the rollers which is going to inflate the figures, get it down to Charlie @ Surrey Rolling Road and see it’s true power, Charlie know’s his stuff as well.
Of course it’s possible you dummy, I’m running 470hp with a catless downpipe MHD stage 2 and XHP. Stage 3 .. you only need HPFP if you want to go stage 2 + over 500hp , so don’t make stupid comments if you don’t know facts.

Stage 1-2-3-4 means nothing it’s a term used by tuning companies. The facts are which I know is hard to hear the HPFP is not capable of flowing enough for 470hp without crashing. So please don’t make stupid comments without knowing the facts🤣🤣🤣

Power is never a problem for the M140’s, it’s the chassis that’s their weak point. Very soft in the corners and in major need of an LSD when powers increased.

@ S Khan read the comments above before going to this tuner. They have quite clearly inflated the figures by allowing the car to move from the roller. There's a YT video showing this practice to get money from people by over inflating the figures.
