  • 2012 Vauxhall Corsa VXR Review.
    Welcome back to Pitt Motoring TV, Your weekly Pitt Stop for all things cars.
    In this video I have been having some fun with a 2012 Vauxhall Corsa VXR, a fun hot hatch which is definitely worth considering.
    The question is Should you buy a Corsa VXR? With so many fantastic hot hatches available should you also consider the Corsa VXR along with the likes of the Fiesta ST, the Clio RS and Fabia VRS?
    Hope you enjoy the video, if you enjoy don't forget to like the video and subscribe to the channel.
    This 2012 Corsa VXR is currently for sale with the guys at The Forge Car Sales, here is the link to their website for more details on the car.
    www.theforgecarsales.co.uk/ca...
    Thanks for watching and I will catch you all next Saturday for another video.
    If you are a new or used car dealer and have a car to review on the Channel or would like your car featured then get in touch - eddie@yorkienotjustfordads.com.

    had mine for just over 2 years, cant go wrong with it, better looking than the other 2 I think as well, and cheaper. So much car for your money, just need to keep an eye out for a gearbox whine and piston 4 going but as long as you warm the car up before booting it a little and yearly servicing, should be fine.

    • @pittmotoring
      @pittmotoring  3 роки тому +2

      I have to agree with you it does look better than them, I really like the styling. I think that's best to do with any car really isn't it, to let it warm up properly first. I found cruising the fuel economy was pretty good. Thanks for your comment and hope you enjoyed the video.

      Is there a way to avoid piston 4 but also remapping it?

    • @SouthRevolution
      @SouthRevolution 3 роки тому

      @@nivzxlo8241 you can forge the engine which would pretty much make the engine bullet proof up to about 450bhp if you want, thats the only way to really make sure. Other than that, just ensure you let the car warm up before giving it the beans and have a yearly full service, that's what I do! As forging the engine is about £2500-£3000!

    Had my vxr for 2half years, 1owner car when I got it with 40k on. Never had a problem with engine but my exhaust manifold as just got a hole in it but getting one 99pound off eBay. Just get a good one like me and there good car for the paper. Full services history and now on 69k

    • @pittmotoring
      @pittmotoring  3 роки тому

      Sounds good mate, service history is key with these sorts of cars, if they're looked after they should be more reliable. Had a few experiences with ebay parts some fine some are miles off fitment wise unless is a 2nd hand piece you've got.

  • @boostedchris6120

    Owner of a corsa d vxr-r never had issues with reliability, low mileage and in good condition I’m the second owner. I’ll recommend a vxr just longs it’s got service history, with the correct condition. Best to do a compression test, they’re good cars just not keeping up with my other cars on a B road or on track. Good content mate

    • @pittmotoring
      @pittmotoring  3 роки тому +1

      Absolutely, like with any car a good service history is essential. They are fun to drive i will give them that and I prefer the styling over the fiesta and the clio. What other cars have you got that it doesn't keep up? Thanks matey hopefully have more content like this to come as the channel is still relatively new.

      @@pittmotoring Yes that’s 100% true. Yes they are fun to drive, me personally I think clio 197/200 are nicer than the corsa vxrs, I own a clio rs200 cup in alien green it’ll leave my corsa vxr-r on a B road due to handling and weight. I own seat Leon cupra r mk1, fiesta st150 which is supercharged which was running 300bhp stock internals, civic ep3 type r turbo’d 500bhp, ek4 with k20a2 swap which is supercharged running 500bhp, civic type r ek9 still n/a it’ll spank my vxr-r easily as it’s always about power to weight ratio in my opinion. Ohh really nice, I have heard good and bad things about tdi north but I do my own builds with my own custom software for cars. That’s a good power output in my opinion it’s enough for a daily. I wouldn't worry about the gremlins because they are known about fauts which means most garages will be able to get parts and fix it very easily. Yes it costs money but compared to other higher end hot hatch's they fairly cheap.
