- these cinnamon biscuits are an Arnotts old school classic. really easy and fun to make. makes 36. recipe written below.
3 cups plain flour sifted
1 tea spoon baking powder
set aside
240g butter chopped at room temp.
1 cup brown sugar
1 tea spoon vanilla extract
2 tea spoons cinnamon
1 tea spoon all spice or mixed spice
1/4 tea spoon nutmeg
pinch cloves optional
beat til light and fluffy
then add
1 large egg at room temp.
beat on low til mixed in
add to flour
mix together with back of spoon
then add
1/4 cup small black currents
flour on hand knead to a ball
cover glad wrap and fridge 1/2 hour
pre heat oven 160 degrees c
baking tray with paper
roll out dough between glad wrap
cut circles using a 6 and 1/2 cm round cutter it was perfect
use 2 smaller things to make indents
bake approx 18 mins til light golden brown
pull sheet off and leave to go cold
made 36
290g white chocolate into heat proof bowl over saucepan of boiling water from the kettle
melt
mix in a drop or 2 of pink or red food dye
drop small amounts onto middle of biscuits
allow to set
put in a tin or jar

Hello Sweetie. Just a heads up about the difference between 'Allspice' and Mixed Spice. 'Allspice is a spice all on it own, just like cinnamon, cardamon etc. Mixed spice is a mixture of all different spices, and usually consist of a mixture of cinnamon, cardamon, cloves. I loved these biscuits, and will be making a batch of them this week, they are nice and spicy, just right for this cold weather. Thank you for another great video

I recognise your brand of cinnamon. Those jars are good but the print rubs off the labels over time. I used to put sticky tape all over it when new to protect the print.

@@aussiegirlcancook Well, Lally has called about fifty witnesses so far, with more to come, and there’s not a fingerprint, no DNA and no blood on Karen, her car or her clothing. Not a shred of forensic evidence to this point. Plus, watching all these witnesses on the stand, they don’t like answering questions from the defence attorneys, so they try to skirt around them bringing in points that were not asked for. It’s like pulling teeth just to get a yes or no answer out of them. Jennifer McCabe, we can see, is used to being in control so having to answer questions is painful for her. The defence attorney kept asking her closed questions and she would editorialise instead of saying yes or no. My lawyer friend has been analysing her cross examination in daily videos. I think tomorrow will be his 9th episode just on Jennifer McCabe! In short, Karen is being framed!
