Welcome to my debut jewelry sketchbook.
A couple of years ago, I started sketching jewelry from different brands and vintage pieces.
From the very beginning, I was curious to see how quickly I could capture the jewels, how markers and other materials would work on such a tiny A7 format, and how to illustrate different materials and metal finishes. My goal was to sketch every day, spending just 10 to 20 minutes per piece.
Throughout the process, I often researched the jewelry I was drawing and made small notes. In most cases, I used colored markers and a black pen. At first, my color selection was quite limited, but over time, I expanded my palette, and now I have a wide range of colors to work with.
Rather than copying light and shadows from the reference, I applied the principles that designers use in the design process. This practice gave me more confidence in my drawing skills.
I started this sketchbook in 2020 - five years ago - and now, I’m excited to share it with you.
