CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Danny (George Clooney) and Rusty (Brad Pitt) recruit Reuben (Elliott Gould) for their casino robbery when they tell him who the target is.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A rag-tag group of con artists and ex-cons team up for the heist to end all heists in this high-profile remake of the 1960 Rat Pack favorite. As with its predecessor, Ocean's Eleven opens with its titular hero Danny Ocean (George Clooney stepping into the Frank Sinatra role) eager for a new challenge. The similarities to the original end there, as Ocean conspires with his old pal Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt) to rob 150 million dollars from an underground vault that serves three of Las Vegas' biggest casinos. Between the two of them, they recruit nine other men, each with his own criminal specialty, to assist in the mission: moneyman Reuben Tishkoff (Elliot Gould), card dealer Frank (Bernie Mac), pickpocket Linus (Matt Damon), aging con artist Saul (Carl Reiner), British explosives pro Basher (Don Cheadle), techie Dell (Eddie Jemison), rude-boy brothers Virgil (Casey Affleck) and Turk (Scott Caan), and professional acrobat Yen (Shaobo Qin). What Ocean doesn't tell the group is that there's another reason he's coordinating the heist: the three casinos they're robbing are all owned by ruthless gambling mogul Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), who just happens to be married to Ocean's former love Tess (Julia Roberts). Ocean's Eleven was updated by scribe Ted Griffin and marked the third feature shot by director Steven Soderbergh under the alias Peter Andrews.

"we all go way back and I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place...."
Hah! Excellent opportunity for a side movie since they will not do Ocean's 14.
I’ve never been to Belize
@@TheBehm08 ". . .and I'll never forget it."
“It was our pleasure”
I love that line.
i owe you from the thing

Zeúq Zaváj fuckin best part

-I've never been to Belize..
Awesome line
"I wonder what Ruben will say."
"You're out of your god damn minds."
This is one of my top 5 movies. And this is one of the best parts. I can recite all the words.
Oceans 8 was better
@@azu111 go back to the kitchen ocean 8 was pure horseshit, I was ready to kill myself just viewing half way in the trailer
@@azu111 I get it, Sandra Bullock is hot. But we're talking about the actual content of the movie. Oceans 8 was slightly better than Ghostbusters 3 though...
@@axelfoley1406 Don't call that abomination Ghostbusters 3. I'll say this though, at least it was bad enough to be memorable (even if I'd rather forget it). Oceans 8 evacuated my mind the second the credits rolled. Take from that what you may.
Same
His lifestyle looks luxurious,he doesn't need money,he want sweet revenge.
I loved this guy, Ruben. He looks like money. That robe is everything. Damn near king like. 👑
Hello
That actor is Elliott Gould. One of my favorites. His charisma is amazing. Should check out the films he stars in.
I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place 😂😂😂
And ill never forget it!
“That was our pleasure.”
“I’d never been to Belize!”
2:04 This is a very poorly timed fade out. Couldnt you have waited just two more seconds and not completely ruined the punchline?
They’re trying to reel us in to watch more. Like a cliffhanger.
It would be an epic cliff hangar if they waited two more seconds
that salad looks fucking good
im sayin!!
In the middle of the desert? The shelf life will be about three minutes.
Looks kinda plain. Needs some tomatos.
This is easily one of Soderberg's best. This and Out of Sight are tied as my favs. David Holmes killed on this soundtrack.
alekesam I thought the soundtrack through out the whole trilogy was masterful, absolutely my favorite
"Serious pianists sometimes pound out a little honky-tonk, just for fun. That's like what Steven Soderbergh is doing in "Ocean's Eleven."
--Roger Ebert
The dialogue in this film was pure gold. Love how Rusty and Danny were reeling Ruben in the whole time and Ruben knew they were pulling him in but couldn't resist. That's master salesmanship.
This movie could almost take place in the GTA universe
I mean, it kind of does with the Casino heist.
Well, it is a caper flick. Of course it fits in well within the GTA universe.
GTA is heavily influenced by iconic crime/action/heist/gang movies. The whole idea is the game is like a crime movie.
It feels like this inspired GTA Online heists in a big way
They played Reuben like a fiddle in this scene, pulled him right into the caper. They were an amazing team.
thing is, Reuben knew he was getting pulled in. He still couldn't resist.
Jack Geller, Dr. Michael Mitchell, Will Colbert and Susie Underpants was all in this movie...
Still remember seeing this film in theaters. At the time I was a kid still just wanting crazy action films and such. This film made me enjoy movies on another level. The characters, story, style, all of it was cool, especially with an all-star cast. Early 2000’s cinema was a great time at the theaters. This film ranks high up there for me.
A long shot, a medium one and then a close up, all in one shot. Awesome.
Rusty need fast money,Danny wants his wife back;Linus needs experience, twins just want more fun,Don Cheadle need a better stage let his talent shine,Yen want to jump higher.Saul,it is just his nature, also a comfort retirement.
What about Reuben?
@@mohamedashian604 Revenge
What did Livingston and Frank want?
Are you allergic to the spacebar or something?
Man, the dialogues in this movie are pure gold!
“He’ll kill ya. And then he’ll go to work on ya.”
That quote alone makes Benedict menacing
The mind wonders how that would work
He’ll kill ya, and then he’ll go to work on ya.
Great line!
Reuben calling Benedict's casino gaudy while being open robed with chains and Elton John shades is a mega underappreciated bit of writing
When Batman and Achilles proposes this kind of job and they will include Jason Bourne and War Machine in their crew, i'm all in. no discussion....
I haven't seen anyone mention it, but Ruben's haircut is known as the Cesar, which is the haircut George Clooney first had when he started getting lead roles in movies. Rubens haircut is a nod to that.
Would it not also be a reference to the Caesar's Palace casino and the Caesar salad?
Jack Geller
This is my favorite salad eating scene in all of cinema
Monica: Dad?!
Ross: What are you doing?!
Jack: Being a master criminal, kids
I love his robe and oversized glasses so much!
I love tha casual way the say the casino's name, like they dont mean a thing ,like "a , well this ,that and the other" just how you will discribe your boring dailey rotine to some old friend. Great acting !
He'll kill you, and then he'll go to work on you. 😂
Cracks me up how they are eating in the direct sunlight no shade no umbrella just direct blazing desert sunlight. Haha
Gaudy monstrosity
If ocean eleven is a group of company,Danny is leader,Rusty is executive manager,Reuben is supervisor...of stealing:-\
Just outta curiosity which casinos do you geniuses expect to robe?
I can recognize him with my eyes close,so loud and poetry, his sound!
I never understood this... how do you force someone out of buisiness if they're making a decent profit?
Brass Knuckles
John Dobak
He said he was muscled out that's what made oceans 13 more believable in the start. Bank did the exact same thing with him ( with more force) so that's why Rueben probably had a heart attack because bennict did the same thing. There are also numerous ways he could effect Reuben's casino: make made P.R for him and his casino, TEMPORARY offer better comps/deals for the whales (the players that mater) etc.
Benedict just made an offer he could not afford to refuse. There is lot of ways to get rid of your business partner and Benedict was not the the most law abiding citizen in US . He found the way what worked .
Best scene! The whole trilogy is just great
The second one was poor and the third one was good but not great.
@@Revelian1982 the third one is my favorite you know all the characters you have a better understanding what's going on and yet they still manage to throw in a few surprises
@@nicolasneal204 Each to their own, I guess, but the first one had a classic style and felt slicker to me.
@@Revelian1982 yeah but honestly the first one was a little confusing for a first movie of a series
@@nicolasneal204 It was supposed to be until the end when the trick was revealed.
"You son of a b!+ch, I'm in!"

GAWDY MONSTROSITY
now I wanna watch this whole movie again
"We have to be very careful about this"
0:42 Shouts across the neighbourhood.........................
Elliot Gould should have been nominated for Best Supporting for this role.
"They've got enough armed guards to occupy France.. ok, bad example."
After seeing oceans
13 Ruben has to be the worse business man in Vegas. Lol
The effortless chemistry and just overall coolness of the characters is what makes these movies. While I liked 8, it just came off as trying too hard at times
You LIKED 8!?
"That's nice. You like it there? That's wonderful... Get in the Goddamn house.
11 is the best in oceans scries movie , I guess.
those are terry benedict's casinos
Rusty: is that right?
Danny: that’s right
2021 STILL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Those are Terry Benedict's Casino's"
Rusty: is that right?
Danny: that’s right.
Look uh we all go way back, and I owe for that thing with the guy in the place - And I'll never forget it!
Terry Benedict loves masochism
It's ok with me.
If you guys like this, you should check out the movie Sneakers.
Sneakers is tragically underrated.
Danny not gonna say isn't it,he want to save until last minute, but Reuben's determination is too strong, and stubborn.
The nicoise was delicious.
A lot of people, including the people who make the closed captions, seem to think that Rusty said "be swell, it was delicious"
@@mg19cal Sotto voce and I never realized what he said.
I've never been to Belize..
anyone knows music from this movie when reuben was mentioning 1987 casino escape
Take my breath away, the same of top gun score
Mattia is correct. Also, that's an uncredited John Cusack getting gunned down outside of Caesars Palace.
_unless we forget..._
I LOVE this movie.
Magnífica película

wow.... amazing!
"...I owe you from the thing withthe guy in the place ..."
All we need to know. But I'm sure we can do a Ocean Shared universe with a movie about that quote! ^^
You better god.dam.know
Brad Pitt has neve been to Belize. Saul Goodman thinks that's a good thing
"I've never been to Belize"
that's a great scene
Ross and Monica's turns out to be this guy, "huh"
The acting and the dialogue in this movie is just, chef's kiss 🤌🏼
One of my all-time favorites to watch
It put thing into perspective when you know Ruben is also Ross and Monica's father...
And Ross and will were in the 'I hate Rachel club' 🤣
Fun movie, this is one of the cornier parts of the film though.
Love it!
"Be swell, Mr Tishkoff." 🤣🤣
That Versace clean
Substitute the word "Jesuits" for "Benedict"

Best Robe ever !!!
And the heavy metal in a patchy forest of chest hair.

Great scene
That thing with the guy in the place, lmao
This is a COOL movie. 10/10
“I’ve never been to Belize” 😂😂🤣

What would have made this scene better is if the remade it with all women.

I am The Way, The Truth and The Life, No man cometh unto the father but by me.
Movies have been made about that deception too.
Oh Jack Geller...
Looking at Elliot Gould in this scene reinforces the fact that there is nothing more pathetic than a senior citizen trying to look cool.
How about a senile old goat trying to be President?
Elliot Gould is the man
