Did the math a little: Ruben was keeping track of how much everybody owed, with the exception of Saul who Ruben said he would handle how much Saul owed. The only one who you didn’t hear how much he owed was Amazing Yen. Up to this point, the total was $87m. In order for the count to equal $97, that means Yen had to have spent all but $2m of the $13m he had. However, he doesn’t explicitly say how much he owes, he just said that he spent it all on his house (to which Rusty says “Yeah, but it’s a nice place”).
When doing the math to see how they come to $97M owed without understanding Mandarin like they all do ;), I come to $105M. That means that Amazing owed -$8M. I think it’s hilarious and entertaining that they all understand his lines and the audience is simply left wondering. How generous of him to foot all he stole plus the $8M he somehow made on top of it all. 😅 Cutting into the groups deficit and slightly lightening the debt for all of them. What a team player! 😂

Which is a shame because its cast, especially Blanchett, Paulson, and Bullock, could have been a lot of fun if the movie was more geared around that than just plot reveals. It must be crazy being kids playing around and then you grow up and you and your friend are doing a scene with Brad Pitt, Clooney, and Bernie Mac.
"Boy the interest just kills ya."
“Interests kills you” the more i grow the more I feel that sentence. Fuckin banks
I miss movies like this
“Who would I talk to if you were all dead?”
Legendary trilogy
Did the math a little: Ruben was keeping track of how much everybody owed, with the exception of Saul who Ruben said he would handle how much Saul owed. The only one who you didn’t hear how much he owed was Amazing Yen. Up to this point, the total was $87m. In order for the count to equal $97, that means Yen had to have spent all but $2m of the $13m he had. However, he doesn’t explicitly say how much he owes, he just said that he spent it all on his house (to which Rusty says “Yeah, but it’s a nice place”).
yeah I did, you're gonna start with me in front of everybody? you don't know what its like to create something from scratch!
Everyone talks in-character but the conversation gets sidetracked all the time. Even they are over-the-top characters, and very over-the-top story, yet every situation in these 3 movies is so real and stylish at the same time.
I love the part that the oceans 11 name was their main worry 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Legend has it... he still saw the signs.
Right now I'm thinking of that song that has those words....(shrug).
“You’re all aces in my book”.
One of the only film series that just got better and better with each sequel... until the one we don't talk about. But 11, 12, and 13 were FANTASTIC movies.
Ocean's 8 was NOT a sequel.
@@matts1166 It sort of is. Kind of a spinoff but still takes place after the others.
I don't think Ocean's 8 is that bad though either, though its big issue is it seems to not really get what makes the Ocean's movies work. They're fun because they're primarily hangout vibes movies and Ocean's 8 is almost all plot and little character interaction stuff. Which is a shame because its cast, especially Blanchett, Paulson, and Bullock, could have been a lot of fun if the movie was more geared around that than just plot reveals. Blanchett and Paulson especially seem to have a great dynamic together but they never really utilized it in the film.
And of course it didn't have Soderbergh working on it which I'm sure hurts.
I owe 25, hotels man
"Hotels man" 😂
Thanks, Linus.
1:46 i wish one day i could be chill enough to say that with a smirk
