❤️🤗🥰Thank you Helen I’ve been meaning to make one of these for years I finally got around to it Wait till you see the the silk large Easter eggs I’m doing 😂
This!! My mom saved every box dad gave her. At one point, someone decided they were tacky, and tossed them. How I wish I had them back. I remember a yellow one, and an orange one, that had plastic roses on them. Thanks for sharing your idea.
♥️You’re welcome I get nostalgic for things I remember as a child 😉Your dad was very sweet to do that Can you believe my dad never bought my mom a gift or heart box of candy or any candy 🥲After thirty years of marriage they are divorced now and mother lives with me and I make sure she has candy and gifts for every season 😉♥️
Not sure I can add pictures here, but I am a miniature artist, and I make miniature 1” Valentine candy boxes. I’m going to have to find some teensy tiny trims, to elaborate. I love Valentine’s Day! My brother used to say “What if St, Valentine had been St. Blunderberhger” or St. Porkraster?” Lol St. Valentine is the most beautiful name, for such a beautiful day. Don’t think St. Porkraster Day would’ve caught on. Lol ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jeffrey Kevin! That is a great craft project I remember those when I was little too and also was never so lucky to receive one… hope to make one someday! Thanks for the inspiration! ❤ Jeffrey
Oh, yes, do I remember those heart shaped candy boxes! And Woolworths, and Newberrys, and Sprouse Reitz (but I forgot how it was spelled!) Your mother was correct, you were only paying for the decorated box, because if I remember correctly, the candy inside was inferior! Not the best (unless, of course, you paid a fortune for it!) Jeffrey Kevin, you are talented, clever and resourceful!
I am amezed with the process for creating this beautiful box 🤩🤩. You have done a great job 👏👏👏. You are a great artist 👍. Thank you very much for this video 💖. See you soon 👋😊
Oh my goodness Jeffrey Kevin 💕 You had me at chocolate 🍫 My dearly departed husband showed up at my house 🏡 when I was 14 years old unexpectedly with a lacy box of chocolate on Valentine's Day 1978. My father was grinning from ear to ear. I didn't know WHAT to say! (Blushing) Little did I know we would later get married and have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. We were married 38 years before his passing. You brought back BIG memories. Thank you ❤️ They don't make them like they used to.
The box turned out great! It was fun to watch the process too. One question: how did you determine the size of the large black backer heart at the beginning?
❤️🥰🤗Thanks I put the lace at the outside edge of the box and add another 3/4 inch so the ruching would show I used a protractor to trace around the box😉Sorry forgot to put that in❤️
Over the top gorgeous!! You are so creative and talented. This one's a keeper! Aren't you glad someone invented hot glue? How did people make anything without it? LOL.
I JUST LOVE IT!!! I NEED TO TRY AND MAKE ME ONE OR TWO!!! QUESTIONS: Where Did You Buy Your Red Silk Material And The Little, Glitter Heart Trim, And Your Lace? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!! Happy, Blessed Valentine's Day To You And Yours!!! New To Your Site And Subscribed...Yeah!!! 🙂 🎉🎉🎉❤
😂Aww Thanks I got all the materials at Hobby Lobby The heart box is a Russell Stover’s They are not my favorite candy but their box is the best constructed ♥️I actually like the cheep brand candy better so this year I will buy it and just slip in the candy 😂🤗Happy Crafting ♥️😉
