Hands-On Review: Denon DJ Prime 2 DJ System: ua-cam.com/video/A_zGxDICbhg/v-deo.html Hands-On Review: Denon DJ Prime Go System: ua-cam.com/video/Sq2ImUYUyX0/v-deo.html
I agree about the Engine Software. They need to get the beat grid side of it fixed. Just copy Serato. They got the most user friendly way to adjust beat grids. If some how it could copy the beat grids from say Rekordbox or Serato that would be AMAZING and save me a lot of work if I decided to switch over
The prime go is perfect for ceremonies and cocktail hours!!! Probably small gigs, all I need is my external driver and set up into a micro set up, perfect, in combination with the prime 2 for micro set ups, so sweet!!!
I think it would be a very good option that in a future update, you could switch one of the two channels internally and be able to use, or the left or the right channel, as an external equalizer, and thus ppder use the auxiliary input, both in prime go and in 2, as an external channel and with its own equalization of 3 physical bands
Does anyone know if this Prime Go can be rackmounted? In none of the videos have I heard anyone mention this. As small as it is, it might be nice to be able to rackmount this in a traditional 19" slant rack. I know that's an old approach, but as a taller DJ, it would be nice to put this in a rack that brings it up in height and also allows you to put gear in below, such as mics, power strips, etc.
Denon WILL retake the Crown! I originally played on Denon DN-2000F players many many years ago, then went to Pioneer having their full SVM/DVJ set up in the studio. I will definitely be considering going back to Denon as the Prime 6000 media players and 1850 mixer have my keen eyes and now the Prime Go unit. What'd make the Prime Go absolutely awesome would be the addition of an M2 SSD to be installed (m2 is smaller physically than a standard 2.5" SSD). Denon is definitely the leader of the Pack!
@@digitaldjtips Ah, I see! Allrighty :) Still great job. I dunno why, but I really like your way of speaking and explaining. Calm and sober, but also with a British touch of humor. Very nice 💪
Prime 2 is only about 3" narrower than the Prime 4 and is missing the standard rear inputs. Why would anyone want to give up all the rear inputs and the other 2 faders/layers with such a large size still? The GO is also missing standard rear inputs, has lousy meters, tiny little pitch faders, and only one USB drive port.
All of these people are talking about what it does not have and comparing it to Pioneer. Last I checked Pioneer has not launched a battery powered, true stand alone (no laptop required), 7 inch touch screen, wi-fi streaming capable professional controller. And if they did come up with something. Pioneer would be following not leading. Denon was 1st. Denon is the real industry standard company. Using the technology and innovating it into a user friendly package and listening to their customer. Pioneer will answer what Denon does. Not what it's customer wants. And when they do it will cost twice as much.
I'm not sure it has to be as much of a competition all the time, plenty of gear and DJ's to go around and everyone has their preferences though agreed Denon have definitely been bringing the heat the last year or two!
Quick enough to release new units when they should be focusing more on the fundamental flaw of the engine software! Seems to me denon arnt taking seriously the issues engine has.

now this is getting serious ! Denon letting it all out, I love it !
They've certainly been dropping a lot of new kit this week...
Pioneer - “We dominate the DJ market”
Denon - “hold my beer”
We're loving the competition
Denon is absolutely killing it! I want the go, its the portable im looking for! I cant wait!!
Awesome!
WOW! This is the BEST Beach Party Mixer Phil! You are the Best my Man! I Go Get One right away!
It certainly is...

Yep, a very useful little unit!
I just got mines today. Do I need to download the Tidal?
No, you need to sign up for Tidal, and enter your username and password in the Denon . (There should be a free trial.)
Hi Phil is it possible to play music videos off the system ?
Don't believe so
This is a game changer, is this real life? This would be revolutionary in the mobile dj industry
We double checked, and yes, it's real life :D

I thought that about it too! But I suspect not without a custom bracket.
Denon Prime 2, his software is runing with MP3?
Hi Phil, i need to know please if you can use the querty keyboard to search tracks on the sd card if the tracks are not analyzed?
I don't know that, but I would think not. I have only ever used it with properly analysed music.
will you be able to connect to dropbox and browse music from there?
We'll let you know when we do a full review :)
Digital DJ Tips and when will it be ? 🤷♂️
No exact date, hopefully soon :)
When can i order my!!!!!!
So glad denon taking over their territory.
Way 2 go boysss.
Available this quarter sometime, so keep an eye out!
Hello! Can you record your set with this thing? Like, for example, doing a set on a plane.
Yes
@@digitaldjtips Great; so no laptop needed at all! Got SD as USB as well. What can I say, is #perfect!

They're certainly going about it the right way, Pioneer has a stranglehold on that Club scene though...
Hi. For a pub propose which is more preferable?. Thanks
We still need to review them both fully :)
@@digitaldjtips please send me a link on the review video. So I'll know which way to go. Thanks
Best thing to do is subscribe to our channel so you don't miss out :)
Please add *Serato DJ Pro support* for ALL prime units, Denon!
Especially considering they only have the smaller 7" screens and no external inputs, for that price we need more flexibility... otherwise great unit.
That would be nice!
WANT to know if they will be able to link with a traktor F1 so i can still have remix decks
Phil if you can find out if i can do this with the Denon they i would be sold
Don't know that one Keith, but Traktor users usually find a way to link things up :)
Either Prime Go & Prime 2 will be able to read my music's data (cue points, etc) from Virtual DJ,so I can just plug my external hard drive & play??
Don't think so
Can the Prime 2 play a another music file in another room while you’re mixing in the main room? I believe the Prime 4 can if memory serves,,,,
No, it doesn't have that "zone out" feature.
@@digitaldjtips Shame,,,,
How to fix my portable hard drive it does not read the 2.4
Fabulously Prime 2
Holy shit!!! Amazing!!!
Financial Manager: How much money do you want to spend in the development of dj equipments for 2019 ?
DenonDJ CEO: ... YES
😆
LOL
love the prime go idea but need to be a little more rich of functions
Can the Prime 2 have a third tune playing in another room? I believe the Prime 4 can do that.
No zone output on this one
@@digitaldjtips Thanks for the response!
Nice video, but video and audio quality is quite poor, what went wrong?
We're not in the studio
@@digitaldjtips Ah, I see! Allrighty :)

Thanks, glad you like it!
Plug the GO into a wireless battery speaker and your party is truly mobile!!!
What a time to be alive!
P4boot truly!
Denon are knocking pioneer off the top!!!
They're certainly innovating!
Denon DJ Prime Go wit my JBL charge 3 or any battery-powered speakers
Sounds good!
Retail prices???
999$ USD
But a Bluetooth delay from the unit to the speakers wouldn't affect the DJ if he is using headphones and a monitor.
I'd find that super strange though wouldn't you? 😅
@@digitaldjtips yes but could be done.

DJs who want to save hundreds of dollars and only care about mixing on two decks anyway, plenty of them about :)
i love sx3 and sz2 is best
Glad you like 'em! :)
@@digitaldjtips you mad or something
I have a feeling pioneer going to drop a bomb shell this week
Here's hoping!
Sending midi-clock over USB?
Not sure but doubt it, not to say it couldn't be implemented.
Don't think so :)

buy SC6000
Can you do a giveaway please
Not sure for these units or not, but we have giveaways throughout the year :)
I whant the denon dj prime go
I love your chanal

Andy Collins they are updating their software
They are working hard on Engine too
RIP pioneer
Strong words!
