We were right in the thick of the Denon DJ lounge area at the NAMM 2017 show two weeks ago where we got our exclusive look and walkthrough video of their new powerful PRIME lineup. The device that didn't get much attention is the Denon DJ X1800 PRIME mixer that has 4-channels, on-board effects, dual-USB ports for easy changeovers, an OLED display & touch controls for effects and a seriously good Utility Menu to change many mixer parameters. The Denon X1800 PRIME is also compatible with Serato DJ as long as the Club kit is purchased and applied. you can get get of of those usb reading lights and connect one in the usb to see it in a dark club.
This mixer is great, i love using it (Use it once a week at a local Guitar center) i would love to get a full set up with the turntables. that is on my "wish list"
That thing looks amazing in your video. Thanks for the quality. I would buy it if it had MIDI PADS. I wish the rear mic input was a combo port. No Matrix like the 1500.

Its a great unit. I only wish there were better Mic controls.
I have the sz2 with the sc5000 on the sides I was tempted to get the x1800 just for transport easiness I have had to replace an sc5000 already screen locked even after firmware update and the. Stopped mid boot when turning on. They are nice controllers enjoying them so far. Oh I found some cases at sams club “ members Mark 24” protective case” these fit the sc 5000 and xm 18000 perfect they have pick and pull foam and sealed well for $45.00 each. I have pelicans and these cases are built as sturdy without the extra price.

I checked this setup at my local guitar center, the Digital decks are nice. I'm not really a fan of cdj's but these denon decks were fun to use. The mixer I must say I was not really impressed with. But then again I'm coming from Vestax style battle mixers. So to me the fader must be on point for me and on this mixer it felt cheap/plastic.

The firmware on the players right now has its own sonic issues they've promised to fix, but I think the X1800 also contributes a more minor sonic character of its own, too, with a slightly textured, slightly closed-in quality and less dimensionality to the imaging and less transparency in-the-blend compared to the MP2015, DJM900NXS2, DB4, and DN-X1700. It's not bad if you take it on its own, but it seems more colored than the other top digital DJ mixers and I think it can be further improved. YMMV. It does test extremely well from USB in to USB out, though, and the features and settings are cutting edge... other than the lack of quantize. Denon DJ has promised to add more, too, and I'd hope the changes also include general processing improvements while they're at it as I have a hunch that, in particular, the X1700 in 96khz mode was doing something more pleasant and musical.

Can channel faders be tightened, more tension? They’re Too loose

Can the effects and pad on right side be applied to line in signals from say a emergency tablet or phone?
Hard question. Can you use 8 or more input devices by switching between inputs? For example 4 RCA inputs and 4 Digital Coax inputs. Please say yes.

Hey, hows the sound compared to the DJM 900 nexxus. What sounds better do you think??
They are similar in the sound quality department... Not much to separate the two...

Yes... Traktor is now compatible with any and all DJ soundcards...

I was thinking to buy djm 750 mk2 but this bad boy almost same price and doing more ... but somehow pioneer spreading everywhere ...
Sometimes the feel of a Pioneer mixer is what you are paying for... if you are going to use other Pioneer mixers at other venues one day, then the 750 or a used 900NXS may be the way to go.
Does it have SD vard or support?
SD is on the players but not on the mixer...
Ok thanks. So you can't play flac from USB?
Not on the mixer... You need to get the Denon SC5000 Prime media players along with the mixer to do that....

Denon needs to learn from Pioneer in regards to the mixer! The ups not having resistance...come on Denon!
I'm sure its a good mixer, great features and performs well...but just not drawn to it. Looks wack. They should have made the mixer aesthetically more complementary with the SC5000.
