My opinion on Washington is that they're definitely going to be one of the teams playing in the Overwatch League 2022 season. With players who can absolutely play some of the heroes in the game. They are most definitely a team that exists.
100% agree
Fully agree. They're definitely a team that can easily finish somewhere within the top 20 in overall league standings
Absolutely agree on needing more interviews with the coaches. Big blind spot.
so nice of the warden to allow Avast a creature comfort in his cell
He's got a full creature! If you ask me, he's very lucky to get a cat!
I fucking love Avast's reaction to hearing Jonny say "Below Vancouver"
I kind of had the same reaction. But if everything goes completely wrong for Justice it could happen. Because that means Titans are probably beating them too in matches
I don’t know how feasible it would be but I would like it if coaches gave post game press conferences. At least then we could here them speak about the team, even if most of their answers are non answers.
Well, some teams do have this on their youtube channels. I'm an Outlaws fan and after every match (or week I guess if there's multiple matches in that week) win or lose, Jake has a little talk show almost like thing where he sits down generally with Junk Buck and maybe 1 or 2 players. The videos are usually like 10 to 15 minutes long and they cover what happened in the match, what's coming up, what's going on in the lives of the players and some some questions from Twitter even as well.
I don't know if every team does that, but I would have to think there's at least 1 or 2 more teams out there that would. Creates good interaction with fans and let's the org seem more transparent at least.
A Genuine thought exercise: This is the first iteration of Washington Justice that shouldn't need to relly 90% on their DPS lineup and their Supports will be able to give an amazing performance this season.
hmm. I think this is partially true. I think Krillan is underrated but I don't think he's the super star flex support you need to like go for a win, even like a stage win/mid season tournament win. And I think they downgraded at tank heavily from Fury, Kalios is great but he's not Fury you know? So I think they will still have to rely on Decay and Happy quite a bit and hopefully Assassin has improved since last season a bit. Otherwise I think this could be another painful year for the Justice. And if it is, I hope to god they fire the coaches and management because they've had enough chances to get it right with good rosters
Naw Mag was supposed to be the best rookie tank in the league. Fury is one of the best off tanks to ever touch Overwatch. Something went wrong either with team chemistry, management, coaching, etc.
@@mckinleyostvig7135 Agreed Mag fury on paper is goated and I thought Bebe was above average
@@mckinleyostvig7135 It does not matter if a tank line was "supposed to be good" if they actually WEREN'T GOOD. I am saying that this support line has the chance to defy the existance of such problems
How long before Decay benches himself again?
Decay is the suss. Any team he's on will flop.
Did you see what dallas fuel’s pre game pep talks look like during season 3? I don’t blame decay because I wanted to bench myself from watching that.
@@DrElementary enigmatic player who is a top 2 dps player in the world when he is on. try find a coach that wouldn't take him on board leading into OW2 given the chance lol...
Depends when the team starts struggling.
I just wanted to say thank you guys for these content dumps in the team previews. Last night I was hospitalized for some infection I got out this morning and these videos have been keeping me together these past few hours. Love custa and avrl on this episode.
Hope you're feeling better!
Hopefully the recent ow2 content drops are keeping you occupied. Get better soon buddy!
I swear, Justice is the team where former Gladiators staff go to die. JohnGalt, Bawlynn, ShibaInu and now Tydolla 😅
When AVRL brought up SanGuiNaR I knew that he was smart… like SanGuiNaR is easily an OWL level MS and he wasn’t even given a chance
hello fuel fan here, this is my friends phone. hes dead on the floor rn. he was a phili fan
im a kalios simp hes gonna pop off
I’ve been watching Vigilante play indirectly for years, through other Korean streams, and I’ve just now realized that when I first watched him play he was probably 15 or 16 and he was great on ladder even back then; can’t wait to see him play
I smell a power rankings in the makings.
This will probably be decay's last shot. Has he gone to army yet?
hes only 21 lol
@@letter4217 For army? How old do you have to be? Or are you talking about his shot in the league?
@@marozid1 You can postpone millitary service in korea for quite a while
i have this weird feeling decay is gonna be the best sojourn … mobility, good tracking needed, and he has the long range hitscan capabilities, but i think sojourn could also give him the comfort of the mobile tracking focused hero. can’t wait to see tho :D
Counterpoint: Lip and Leave exist
@@duckdudette both mid sorry
The Justice are going to underperform their underperformance. I really think they're trying too hard to find a reason to have hope.
So yeah, I don't know if every team does this, but the Outlaws did at the very least make post match videos/interviews this last year. They were high quality videos with Jake talking to Junk Buck usually and like one or two players as well. Usually talking to Junk Buck about what happened, what they think they need to change etc. And the players about life in the states (for the Korean part of the roster), and even some twitter questions from fans. I can't be crazy in thinking that there must be other teams that do this as well right?
THEY PUT A BED IN AVAST'S CLOSET!! 🥳
LA Valiant did a good job of creating content with the coach in S1. Oh wait
I feel like Decay might have similar issues as Fissure. While he is a phenomenal player, his character seems to completely trivialize that. What good is a phenomenal player that is going to drag the rest of the team down because of their issues? Players like that can actually really screw a team. Look what happened to the Season 1 Gladiators that had their Grand Finals chances completely destroyed because Fissure decided to be a diva. They were looking primed to make it all the way to the final match and with one person's crappy attitude, it all came crumbling down.
At some point you have to weigh the pros and cons and make the decision that he might just not be worth the risk.
Yeah, like they were talking about Hotba possibly having those issues last episode...and I'm like..nah probably not, but Decay has publicly shown at this point that he has an attitude problem. Which can actually be more detrimental to a team than just being like you know "average", doing your job in game and being a good teammate. It's so weird Decay and Fissure both were on the Gladiators at one point and both have had major attitude problems. I guess that's what you get with super high skill and high potential people sometimes...
It's really hard to say with the information we have. A lot of the "attitude" people talk about comes from speculations of why he left Dallas. It may be true, it might not. I will say that I've also heard some really good things about Decay's impact on a team. If anyone remembers an interview with Arc after Washington went on their Cinderella run in 2020, Arc talks about how great it is to play with Decay and how he's a real leadership figure. So...basically 'who knows'
@@Willow-uv9ms I think one thing can be, Decay at that point was probably extremely happy to be somewhere that wasn't Dallas. It's easy to say that someone is great when things are going well like they were when Decay got there. But it's another thing when things aren't going so well...like they were on Dallas, like they were on Gladiators when he was there, like they were on Washington last year. That's when we've seen "bad Decay", the "I don't want to play" Decay. Which is very unprofessional. I'm not saying it's all his fault, Dallas was a dumpster fire with or without him pretty much. But I will say Washington struggled without him last year, and that is on him, not on the team.
you’re talking out of your ass right now
Last year Decay shifted his playstyle to try and become more of a team player. Several teammates said it was very helpful to have Decay as a leader, rather than having him try to hard carry. He’s had no conflicts with the Justice as far as we’re aware
Washington Justice fan here, love the avast takes because its 0 bs, he says it like it is. The issues with the Justice is that they got stuck with these massive contracts in 2019, couldnt get rid of players and now they have players with 2 year contracts. Having said that I think stability is what they need, you cant be cycling the entire team season to season; this is also PRE/Supreme's last year and from Dpei's stream if the justice do well this year I can see Tydolla moving to head coach.
Also from Pre's streams, looks to me they play the moderate wages perk heavy cards, the facilities are nice but they are not paying as much as the other teams which makes it hard to get studs like Shu, Violet, Proper.
Ball comps are heavily relliant on the quality of supports and if you dont have studs you wont perform as good as the championship level teams.
Washington Justice, probably the only team in the league I actually dislike
Valiant?
Guangzhou?
@@DoReply420 I was about to say "what's wrong with Guangzhou??" Then I read your name
@@matthewmccloskey515 only good players on gz are Eileen and crong.... Everyone else is meh and meh isn't good enough
@@DoReply420 they not good at all but you hate them as a franchise?
the opener signing is the most obscure pick up in this off season by far. I am really curious of how that's gonna turn out
I hate Washington but that didn't stop me from ranking them higher than the folks over at Tactical Crouch. Can't wait to see where y'all's power rankings shake out! Hopefully it comes out before the beta drops and the communities focus shifts.
32:58 well that’s a little looking down
The Justice are just less than the sum of their parts.
12:40 not necessarily good
We all know picking up players based on trials/scrims is always a great idea that works well. Opener next Xepher
I mean look at ANS?
@@erikhjortsater5461 i mean... that was one case out of like a dozen that just so happened to work out well. Plus its not like he joined valiant or anything. He joined the shock during their peak lol
@@NaruBrilu I mean you also have Skewed? Joobi sort of? Depends on how much you trust the coaching situation but by all means gambling on a pickup can pay off big time. Now I’m not generally speaking a justice enjoyer, but considering how hellbent they are on keeping supreme around he must have something going on for him no?
@@erikhjortsater5461 I'll give you skewed, but idk if joobi counts. Considering Houston's fall off during the year and the fact that they had to bring in a retired dps player to play the other main supports bcuz he could only play lucio. Plus it's not like any other team picked him up this year either. Altho that could also b bcuz teams r banking on double flex support being meta (moth also not picked up) which is kinda risky imo considering the game could change drastically with patches.
Ig im not entirely against doing it that way. All im saying is that it doesnt have the highest of chances of success. Especially if you're going into a new game ow2 with the players you have, like hell you have decay, mag and happy. You should b aiming for the upper echelon of teams.
Ya im not a justice fan either, but the management/staff has kinda been meh since inception. Either you're right and there's something with the guy we dont see, or it's just gonna b more of the same and they are too stubborn to change
@@NaruBrilu to be honest that’s another thing you mentioned. Coming in to Ow2 having younger players who more easily can adapt might be better than sticking with veterans?
Yeah decay is the most interesting players here, and not all of it is positive. Happy is someone I am very high on, he plays an elite cass and widow, with a good Ashe, and even plays tracer, doom, echo and an okay sombra etc. Happy is a lot more flexible than decay. Decay CAN be more flexible, but he just…. doesn’t.
Sooo much fury disrespect here, when you watch he POV he was still one of the best off tank in the league, just didn't get the results with the team
Johnny was right. Tito’s is made in Texas.
I want to cry
When did avast catch the hipster?
Justice is just NA Spark
I do like that it's now impossible to field a bad dps duo.
Now subbing in for Assasin: Kalios
There is always a new and creative way for teams to screw up lol
The coach is just best friends with the gm or something? Like drop the staff man
Florida next?
cat is so cute uwu
Titans>justice
Funnily enough I think dps is the problem on this team. I think mag kalios is pretty decent I think ball and doom are gonna b problems as avast said. Opener is a question mark and krillin just needs to hold his own until vigilante(imo the best flex support coming from contenders) comes of age. I think decay is a nut case and if happy gets played the guy will pound, assassin is my problem. He’s inconsistent at best imo I think he’s messy on most heroes which annoys me cuz he was meant to be so good. Also supreme need to go
why does supreme need to go he’s not their strategic coach
Hopeful but weary
Hopefully they do better than last year but not too high where it’s a disappointment
Happy's tracer is good. He played it a lot on charge
If you have DECAY in your team you should let him play tracer .
Mag was like top 3 on every main tank apart from ball... dude is insane
Happy was by far the best bit of the Outlaws last year, what a player, great signing
when you say below vancouver do you mean dropping out of the league?
I love when Jonny talks about some bullshit in his completely normal serious voice, on this when he’s talking about alcohol, and the other episode talking about reiners name😂😂
