Jack, you’re a legend mate. You might be one of the first men to ever speak about this, and no doubt you’ve helped many, many people by doing so. What a great dad your son has to look up to.

Anyone who's suffered a Depth of depression usually has a unique reason for it and having survived my own specific trauma meant I considered myself to be an acutely empathetic person who could imagine why somebody behaves or feels the way they do. However - this podcast has shone Such a bright light on my ignorance of this whole phenomenon. So Illuminating and absolutely eye opening, a must-watch for everyone; including people like myself who don't plan on children. It finally reveals a truth to what has felt like a mysterious subject for onlookers on how Post-Natal Depression can manifest. This is So Revelatory in understanding not just that Dads' can obviously be affected but generally why it could happen to any parent. Jack... my heart breaks open to you friend ❤

This is the the most powerful podcast ep I have ever listened to. As someone who doesn't have/want kids but has suffered from severe depression, I found this really resonated with me. I recently started seeing a therapist for the first time, and it has totally changed my life. I was moved by Jack's courage to share his deeply personal experience and I believe that it is going to have such a positive effect on others. The more examples of men that have the courage to speak up and reach out for help, to show that it is okay not be okay and share our feelings, the better off everyone will be.

I suffered PND and PNA after my second child was born and my biggest shame was this feeling that I didn’t feel like I loved her until after she was 1. I love that you have got to a place where you are enjoying and loving Gordie, it just keeps getting better as they get older, my girls are 10 & 15 and such awesome people.

Been a huge fan of Hamish and Andy for years and heard about this from the rock radio show in NZ. Thank you so much for speaking about this Jack, i suffered from this with my first born daughter and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. This resonated so much with me and I hope more people can listen to this and understand that its not just something that the mums go through and the dads also need help

    To Jack,
Your words in not only this episode, but any other place you have spoken about this are the best I have ever heard someone speak. Never has someone been as raw and real feeling as you have. You don’t try and brush your experiences off as jokes or exaggerate, you speak so honestly and it’s amazing to hear. Your true personality has shown so much during these times and it’s very easy to tell how amazing and kind of a person you are. Always excited to see what you do next,
A young person who you have very much inspired. 🤎

Man, you truly never know what is going on in people's lives. Much respect for sharing that Jack, can't imagine how difficult that would be.

This is so powerful. Thank you Jack for opening up about this experience. It made me cry. So many men, that are going through this or have gone through this, who felt unable to talk about it, will get so much relief from hearing you. And so many more men will get help 🙏
