That turned out to being a very nice pan.!!! I don't think I've seen anyone lately, coming up with so much gold, in such a short time. I've watched, " Th Tassie Boys," Channel & a few others, but nobody has come close to this measure of gold, GOOD JOB!!!

Now at the end of the video, and you have got recent flood gold colour. If you go deeper then the nuggets will get bigger. When you hit the bedrock expand in a circle. Look for any cracks in the bedrock, CLEAN each one, and use yr suction bottles I described in your 1st video.
If I was working that hole I would expect to find INCREASING amounts on the way down.
If you find a buried tree, CLEAN IT. Gold sticks to pungas like glue, I sat on a punga having lunch not knowing I was sitting on a 4 oz nugget jammed beside a broken leaf stem, plus lots of other smaller nugs as well.
A mate of mine just detects pungas, he gave up digging years ago.
Thats interesting, So your mate just looks for Pungas in the river? Takes them out and looks for gold stuck in/on it?
@@tfm2839 yes-and he climbs up to the flood levels as well. Some rivers rise massive heights when in flood and leave trees, pungas and all manner of stuff that collects gold.
Broken trees are like that due to being stuck then snapped by the rapids.
At the mouth of West Coast rivers trees washed up along the coast by the high tides have gold stuck in them, and even nuggety gold can be found 100 mtrs either side of the river mouth.

Hi Neil, Borders are now open, get here while you can. Bring a big 4wd with you, much cheaper to get in Aussie than here, especially Toyota.

HAHAHAHA... you threw the shovel into the pan. My first thought: "Porcelain topped beer bottle, chilling in the water. Perfect!" ... then moments later, no that was just a small Fiskars shovel. hahahaha

Stay there !!! The reason the colour is getting less is because gold sinks UNDER the powder, just like fine gravel. It will be on/along/in front and behind the bedrock.

This is on one of the public New Zealand gold fossiking sites, theres afew of them scattered down the West Coast. All seem to have good little pockets like this to find the colour 😁

Robin you can fossick up in the Coromandel but there are no public fossicking areas set aside just a matter of finding a stream and giving it a crack I found that streams over in the Coromandel township and surrounding areas held gold but mostly fine wire gold as most of the gold fond there is through hard rock mining in that area.

I am unsure on how frequent or the locations of gold up there but I am sure it will be around. In regards to panning you might be best to contact farmers or land owners to see if you can pan in there streams/creeks or rivers to have a look 😁🤙

Yeah plenty of big nuggets in New Zealand bro, our very biggest nuggets are not world record breaking being around 100oz, but you can get heaps of nice multi gram/multi oz nuggets here in NZ!
