In this video, I'm teaming up with my brother who's on holiday from Australia, as we hit the rivers and streams of New Zealand in search of that precious yellow metal - gold!

Hey unkey! I just use my cell phone for all these videos. No special camera needed. Using a Samsung s10 so it for the price of it, I expect good footage 😉🤪

After a flood it maybe worth checking the new gravels if you have cleaned it well before as it will give you a good idea if you have a yearly honey hole to come back to and will give you an idea how well the source is shedding gold or how much is moving during flood... just a thought for you....

I should take a look at maybe digging a couple of meters back from the wall and see if I have much luck there... we will see 😁 Thanks again for watching 😁🤙⛏

Is it possible to please ask some advice? I wish to do what you do, shovel/pan/sluice, only small time. How do you go about it? Ie I was put off by the $3250 fee to get a prospecting license. Is this correct here in NZ?

Cheers, thanks for watching, means alot 😁 Sure thing so here in NZ there is 17 public gold fossicking locations put aside in the South Island. (I may do videos on all 17 locations, let me know if that would intrest you?) These are places who people like yourself can just rock up and search for gold only using hand held non power tools. For example a Sluice Box, Shovel, Pick and Buckets. You can find the information on these locations in the link below. For any other locations and for use of larger equipment you will need to apply for a permit.

Dizz, another great video. As a suggestion, you may want to check out Highland Mining Ltd for his Dream Mat tests and Groty Gold Prospecting ua-cam.com/video/OSU2psEfIsc/v-deo.html for their Dream Mat test using uneven water flow. Prospector Paul at ua-cam.com/video/wr00_H_TVBI/v-deo.html and more so on his Facebook page also covers Dream Mat and he is a Canadian distributor for their products. Dream Mat performs well in sluices and highbankers and are very quick to change out. The reason I mention this is that I read some of the reviews of the Sluicefox on Amazon Canada Prime and at least one person has had issues with the Sluicefox cracking during the clean-out process, just saying. The floods were natures way of turning you into a ninja miner so that your two old holes were very well disguised from other prospectors. Thank you both for sharing.
