I'm from Colombia btw.

I wish I didn't know so much music theory sometimes 😩 a Cadence is at end of phases and are usually are either perfect, half, deceptive or plagle. The word you should be using is not Cadence but “Beat division” that's when we mix different rhythms together… ✌️
It depends on who you ask. According to Webster "A cadence is a rhythm, or a flow of words or music, in a sequence that is regular (or steady as it were)." I can also find sources that site your definition as well. I also used division to explain rhythmic music notes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ✌😎 - Cole Mize
When bro started pulling notes I gotta pause and sub first LOL. Btw the bars chart you used is that an actual application or just editing tho? I really need that to help design my flow 😭
Thank for the sub! Yeah the bar graphics in my videos are all made from scratch. But you can make you a basic version of them using tables in a word processor like Word or Google Dox ✌😎 - Cole Mize
Learning Rap conciously #Day_1 #Lesson_1.... Hey Cole do you believe , I want to be a Good Rapper , a Doctor and a Researcher.... 😂 And I believe that I can do 😢😅.... Is it possible 😮?
Thanks for the suggestion, I try to keep my videos focused strictly on rapping and a video like that is getting into mixing which isn't what people follow me for. There's loads of videos on the internet covering mixing, I've seen ones specific to eqing vocals for the eyeball. Just do a little googling and you should find some. Thanks for rockin with me! ✌😎 - Cole Mize
Your lessons have always been on point. You put definitions and explanations into the habits I’ve built in my mind when I create my songs. People say I sound like biggie but pun was always my inspiration. I idolize pun because he was an extremely large guy like me. Over 700 lbs!! And he was rapping on 16ths like it was nobody’s business!! The breath control was insane. But the reason I sound like biggie is because we share a similar flow and cadence. I LOVE hitting punch lines and rhymes on that 4th beat. I think it makes my delivery hit that much harder. Something I struggle with is my ability to scat. I mean I can scat to the instrumentals I have but I always find myself scatting the same pattern, just with different tempos depending on what I’m listening to. Do you have any advice as to how I could add variety to my scatting so I may be able to develop new cadences?
Thanks Isaac! Sure thing, as I mention in this video, the more cadences you learn the more versatile your rap flow/scatting will be. The thing is, you already know more cadences than you realize. Try to take 1-2 bars of a song you already know and rap it over the instrumental you're wanting to scat over. This could be a hook or a piece of a verse from a song you already know. The key is wrapping your head around where their cadence starts within the bar so that you can rap it exactly the same over the instrumental. I wish to dig deeper just search "Cole Mize Scatting". I hope this helps! ✌😎 - Cole Mize
@@ColeMizeStudios i use the same technique when im playing with mashups on the tables. just no bars of my own involved , but i hear a familiar vocal cadence in another songs musical tempo/cadence and give it a shot. i believe that considering your bars as another instrument helps alot
I still stink at this. I’ve been scating for 4 or so years now when in the car or alone. I’ve got a little better but not much. I’ve watched a lot of your videos over the years and still stink. I can’t write music at all so I go for off the top mainly and just record myself with screen recording on my iPhone and with GarageBand mic turned on with a UA-cam type beat in the background. I have a few years worth of crazy mess of recording but I can go back and hear myself. My weakness is I can’t get myself to learn a mainstream song from anyone word by word and follow their flow without losing interest. I enjoy creating.
Hey Jason, if you haven't already, check out my 5 minutes to a better rap flow course which covers ear training and scatting👉 ua-cam.com/video/rhUZwt6V0Es/v-deo.html I hope this helps ✌😎 - Cole Mize
Thanks for the suggestion, I covered this topic within this article I wrote 👉 colemizestudios.com/pros-cons-writing-rap-lyrics-without-instrumental/ and I made note of your request and will be sure to do a video on this as well. Thanks for your suggestion. ✌😎 - Cole Mize
it's been over a year that i only write if i'm listening the beat, and if i get stuck in any part of the verse i give myself 30 minutes to come up with at least 2 bars, if nothing comes out i will switch the beat and come back later.
Hey Locky, In addition to that technique also consider abandoning whatever rhyme scheme your chasing and or changing your cadence. Also make sure you're not letting your rhymes dictate the direction of your verse too much. These are all common things that cause us to get stuck. I hope this helps. ✌😎 - Cole Mize
Thanks bro for sure i always get stuck in the verse if i only pay attention to the rhyme itself, but when i formulate a better ideia and narrative i always come up with a better rhyme that actually means something and makes sense. @@ColeMizeStudios
hey i have a question how u added the voices in the back those okay and small words and how u made beat and how u did mixing...! can u make a vlog on this please...!!!!!!

Hey Cole, thanks for the great video. I learned a ton. I was wondering what software you use to put your lyrics into time. It looks very useful because you can highlight rhyme schemes easily. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate all the work that you do.

Here is a rap I wrote for my friend in his birthday.
(Hook)
I hope you had a happy birthday
And I hope your day was great
I also hope that you like this song
Even through I wrote it late
I hope you had a happy birthday
And I hope your day was great
I also hope that you like this song
Even through I wrote it late
(Verse 1)
The 4th of Feb is a big day for you
Because you’re 14 now, who knew?
So I decided to write you this song
I knew you’d like it, and I’m not wrong
I know it’s not that good (am I right?)
But you see, it took ages to write
And I didn’t know what else to do
By the way: happy birthday to you!
(Hook)
I hope you had a happy birthday
And I hope your day was great
I also hope that you like this song
Even through I wrote it late
I hope you had a happy birthday
And I hope your day was great
I also hope that you like this song
Even through I wrote it late
(Verse 2)
So a happy birthday to the best ever
Just so you know I think you’re so clever
I hope that your big day was pleasant
I’m writing you this song as a present
I know that it probably wasn’t necessary
But it’s cool that you were born in February
Because it means that you’re an Aquarius
And I want you to know I find you hilarious
(Hook)
I hope you had a happy birthday
And I hope your day was great
I also hope that you like this song
Even through I wrote it late
I hope you had a happy birthday
And I hope your day was great
I also hope that you like this song
Even through I wrote it late

I like rap but i was not into trying to learn how to do it till a certain day when i was battling with a friend throwing some lyrics, when all of a sudden he said "dude, we can't rap, we aren't from the us" he was laughing but i took it seriously, now I jus want to learn how to get an acceptable level and shut his Italian mouth.

Thanks bro😊
My pleasure! I'm really glad this was helpful!
You should have a course that explains this in detail
Learning Rap conciously #Day_1 #Lesson_1....
Hey Cole do you believe , I want to be a Good Rapper , a Doctor and a Researcher.... 😂 And I believe that I can do 😢😅.... Is it possible 😮?

Great introduction
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! ✌😎 - Cole Mize
Yo Cole, could you make a video on how to EQ vocals recorded in a kaotica eye ball?
Spot on! I'm glad to hear you're already using this technique and yes! We are musical instruments! Keep up the great work! ✌😎 - Cole Mize
Can you please make a video on how to write a rap if you don't have beats?. Please
Thq it help me a lot ❤
it's been over a year that i only write if i'm listening the beat, and if i get stuck in any part of the verse i give myself 30 minutes to come up with at least 2 bars, if nothing comes out i will switch the beat and come back later.
My pleasure Locky! I've had the same experience lol You got this bro! Thanks for rockin' with me! ✌😎 - Cole Mize
hey i have a question how u added the voices in the back those okay and small words and how u made beat and how u did mixing...! can u make a vlog on this please...!!!!!!
Thank you just starting out and was completley lost
Hey Cole Mize !
Could you give us please the difference between triplet flow (Migos flow) and the flow that has 4 notes on the beat in a video ?
A triplet flow typically just dividing quarter notes into 3 even notes which is how they get there name "triplet". I cover this in my 5 minutes to a better rap flow course that's linked in the video description of this video. I hope this helps. ✌😎 - Cole Mize
@@ColeMizeStudios thank you...I appreciate ♥️
