My source of cramping was dairy products. I used to get horrendous leg cramps when sleeping or lying in bed in the morning. I think it was lactic acid stored in the muscles.
Taking lactose pills when consuming any dairy cleared this right up. But that's just my theory-the main thing is it worked for me.

They NEVER EVER mention an overlooked issue more common cause of untreatable cramps... HYPERkalemia... too much potassium or Genetic Hyperkalemia... people who don't metabolize potassium well and need a medication to help get rid of it's accumulation/toxicity in their blood. Since childhood I couldn't figure what was causing my leg cramps. My doctor's advised me to do the very things that would make it worse like take potassium, drink more water and drink more water until I had headaches because I had swelling in my brain, use electrolytes, my electrolytes were fine and I was tilting them off balance by taking more unneeded electrolyte. Eating bananas they told me made it far far worse. I'm getting close to 60 now and I have just this past year realized it is potassium what causes my leg cramps. Even one slice of banana gives me reeling cramps anywhere in my body so I'm on a low potassium diet and I don't get leg cramps anymore. Calcium gives me kidney stones. Animal products make me pee all day and all through the night, wake up exhausted from not getting enough sleep. I have to watch How I get my vitamin C because orange juice has high potassium. If you've got any of these problems just do an elimination test and see if it gets better and pretty soon like me you might realize you have a metabolic issue. My metabolic issue not only causes me cramps if I have too much potassium but it also causes me to have a muscle disorder. All the neurologist God's try to tell me that my muscle disorder and fasciculations was caused by depression but I discovered L-Methylfolate, took that for a few months and with an eve in the first couple of weeks I was starting to walk better now I'm out of my power wheelchair. As long as I stay on the l-methylfolate I can keep walking but when I stop taking it my muscle disorder comes back. I had searched all over UA-cam for answers for the cramping because it got so bad it was happening everywhere and anywhere in my body and was so severe it would have me nearly vomiting from the pain. All of these nonsense videos are geared toward basic athletic problems and they misguided people who are looking for real answers to serious problems. You can die from hyperkalemia. And if it's part of a metabolic disorder you can die from a metabolic disorder. Google hyperkalemia symptoms and causes, look for a PMC article and click on that. Read that first printed if you can and take it with you to the doctor then go back and read more articles on hyperkalemia, see if anything rings a bell in your case. Shame on many videos like this one that failed to mention the common cause of hyperkalemia leaving their viewers in the dark.
